    Just watched this, nice job. With my limited knowledge I was wondering if they were mains voltage lights? Also, how would the installation differ if the lights the customer had were low voltage? Cheers 👍

    • @JRCElectrical
      @JRCElectrical  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Installation would be nearly the same but with the low voltage cable, we install mains voltage so if ever more lights needed adding somewhere else or in a shed or something we could branch off any joint and 240v would be there, low voltage would need transformers housed somewhere also

    I always think that the work required to install 230V SWA around a garden for lighting always has a weak point due to the spade going through the flex to the lamps...24V instead?

    • @JRCElectrical
      @JRCElectrical  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We just use these as they are good quality, most of them are gu10 fittings so can easily be replaced and if you ever wanted to add more lights you could come off any joint with 240v

    • @JRCElectrical
      @JRCElectrical  ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers, so to the wiska each wiska was swa, cables out are pre flexed lights normally so outdoor rated flex I would imagine

    Hi Jack, just stumbled across your video. So is the flex that runs into the back of the lights not armoured?

    • @JRCElectrical
      @JRCElectrical  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No dude there pre wired outdoor flex I believe

    • @legendhero99
      @legendhero99 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Is that not dangerous? Does that not mean there is 230v cable that isn't protected?

    • @JRCElectrical
      @JRCElectrical  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@legendhero99 it’s protected by rcd still just not armoured, they come prewired onto the lights so it’s the only thing you can use

    • @legendhero99
      @legendhero99 ปีที่แล้ว

      @JRCElectrical Thanks for the reply and you're the sparky so you know better than I do on this! But just strikes me that the flex cable to the lights is very vulnerable to damage - garden spade going through it etc. So I meant protected as much as that as the danger it might pose as I know it would have an RCD to trip it. A lot of time, effort and expense - and an extremely neat job with all the SWA and boxes - but then the actual flex to the light could be cut and the light will go down!
