    This is an extremely well put together video. Very informative and there is nothing better than getting real boots to the ground information from someone who rides the bike hard, and fixes it himself! Love the videos please keep them up❤

    I just bought a 2020 1000 and it is so much fun. I live in upstate ny and we have so much land to ride. I came from a rancher and it’s not even funny how crazy the difference is and performance. Thanks for the great video

    One thing I learned right away about BRP is they are really good at selling you things, they are horrible at customer service and backing their product. They all about collecting cash, not being an upright company. People are buying and that's all that matters to them.

      Well I have heard that what was covered under warranty is getting less and less...

      @ronlawson5819 exactly the point. My dealer does take care of me. They made everything right when BRP should have. They have no problem making their distributors cover their a$$e$ and that's pretty pathetic IMO.

      You need to read up on cfmoto. $400 axles, $2300 diffs, etc.

    I just finished catching up on the last six months worth of videos. Keep up the great work Don! You are one of my favorite TH-camrs and keep the renegade videos coming! Maybe some nice 2025 renegade videos on the gen 3 platform are in your future?

    Good information there Don and I agree with it all as a Renegade XMR1000 owner (X2). Elka stage 3 shocks made for the XMR model were an absolute game changer on my 2018. I don’t find the Fox shocks as stiff on my 2022 XMR, but I will be upgrading to Elkas in the future on that one too, getting older and definitely can feel the aches and pains after a days ride (53 this month, lol).

    • @ADVENTURESThisWay
      @ADVENTURESThisWay  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The Elka's are an option, not cheap though.
      But you definitely know what I'm talking about!!

      @eric_xmrmy3292 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea but Elkas you’ll have rebuilt way more than fox. And like you said isn’t cheap. If you don’t ride it every weekend sure. If you do. Don’t do it. They started slapping their racing set up on xmr and they just dont hold up. When you race your suspension is number one. So it’s ordinary. When you ride a gade with Elkas often you’ll see lol job security for elka

      Interesting, I have 2000 miles on a set of Elka stage 3 shocks on my 2012 Outlander 1000XT and close to 1000 miles on the ones on my 2018 Renegade XMR 1000 with no issues. I did have to send a pair of Fox shocks from a 2018 XXC 1000 to BNR Racing to have them rebuilt as a seal blew out and they were in pretty poor shape overall, so I don’t think they’re all that great either. I don’t race competitively, but do ride hard in mud, water and rocky Powerline trails and the Elkas seem to be doing fine. The stock Fox shocks on my 2018 were absolutely too stiff and made the ride unpleasant to say the least. As I mentioned to Don in previous comment, the Fox shocks on my 2022 Renegade XMR 1000 aren’t too bad. They probably revalved them after too many old guys with sore backs complained 😂😂

      @@tatortot9817 i agree! lol i haven’t had a problem with my 21. When they started the double spring on the rear it helped a lot i think. But as any mechanical thing there will be a failure. lol. Love the Elkas on the xxc racing bike for the xmr they just didn’t do justice for the price and and the “stages” they try to offer. Personal opinion. You know what they say. Opinions are like ……….everyone has one lol. Cheers brother

    With all the issues of the newer machines having electrical issues I've just decided to build my 2022 650...already flashed and exhaust and just put 32 aztex on it. It rips em I'm just gunna do floorboards when I get the chance and cvtech primary and white spring and go from there...if I do upgrade to a bigger machine IL go with a 850 dps or HL 850

    • @ADVENTURESThisWay
      @ADVENTURESThisWay  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The 650 is a good engine! Just ride it and enjoy, just don't get a High Lifter 😂😂

    Cool video Tom... i mean "Don".
    Yeah i like my "Rene's" as well,but i have to invest some money (tunning, clutching,rad relocate🤷🏼‍♂️)and some time to keep the best care.

      All in good time Scott! But is it still 'fun' to ride?
      I can't believe there haven't been more comments about the 'A Few Good Men' cover!!

    At the end of the day could you put a flat out price tag on what you've put together? Im in Alberta and ive been looking into a brand new highlifter vs an xmr. A fully built 850 hl i can pick up around 15k but the equivalent xmr im looking at 21k.
    Neither is a pill i want to swallow at the end of the day. But for a factory mud bike i don't really have a choice.
    To be even more honest im desperately hoping Kawasaki starts competing in the 850-1000cc class in the next few years. Would be nice to see them compete like they have been in the sportbike and dirtbike scene. Id like to see a 100+hp renegade style brute force.

    • @ADVENTURESThisWay
      @ADVENTURESThisWay  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A HL 850 is a waste of money as a pure mud machine. Will continue to cost more money over time. Find a good used stock Renegade XMR 1000 and spend $5000 on it. Tires, clutches, tuning and exhaust most cost effective way to go. A brand new 2024 or 2025 Renegade cost is too high to get your investment back out of it if need to sell.

    Hey Don, awesome video, thank you!
    Just curious if a tune/flash helps with fuel economy at all? Or probably go against it by unleashing the power?

    • @ADVENTURESThisWay
      @ADVENTURESThisWay  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wishfull thinking 🤔
      A basic tune usually removes the speed limit, adjust the RPM limit and fan to start at lower temperature.

    Can you adjust your suspension to reduce the stiffness of the shocks?

    • @ADVENTURESThisWay
      @ADVENTURESThisWay  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh yes I have made many adjustments with the preload. But the thing is when you hammer it over big 2 foot whoops its like riding on a cloud. Little trail chatter or a small geo-out on Setting 1 and you bottom right out. There's no middle ground with the settings.

    "You can't handle the truth!" The truth is you need 4 jobs to buy and maintain these things. 😆 Or have a rich uncle die and leave you some cash! LOL But, if you want power and engine reliability, Can Am is the obvious choice.
