I’m using this eq to pre condition my electric guitar input signal at the top of the chain. Works brilliantly. My guitar’s direct input tone is boomy and muddy, even with tweaking pickup heights, twiddling volume and tone pots etc. With this eq plugin I’m able to strip out the nasties and bring out the desirable mids and highs, all with a nice tube like coloration. Sets up the signal chain for all the following plugin amp sims and effects. Wasn’t able to achieve the same result with the standard channel eq plugin.
Finneas in ocean eyes makes it really subtly, I don’t really understand why he does those things with eqs in that song like lifting and lowering those frequencies in different types of eqs. And I wanted to know what his eq manipulations in ocean eyes are….

Does anyone recommend this same technique for TH-cam vocals?

I mean why does he do that lifting one frequency in one eq, and lowering that frequency in another type
I guess sometimes you want to emphasize a frequency in the bottom or in the top without adding to the overall balance
Nice, thankss
