    I watched your review last month, I brought my 3rd car from Nissan, the Stanza in 1983, the Altima in 2007 and now the Sentra SV, pick it up 5/13, need I say more, I love their cars, Sentra is out of sight ❤️ it rides good, plenty of room for my 6ft frame, sound system is nice 🎶

    Guess I did this backwards... I bought the car and then watched the video.
    My 2009 Altima died and I had to get a car ASAP. Felt like I might be going backwards to a Sentra, but it is way more car than the 14 year old Altima was. The learning curve will be longer, so many variable inputs, but once I get the mandatory stuff down, I'll be good.
    One month in and I'm still liking this car a lot.

    I love the car. Great review of it. You mentioned the cvt will last a long time if you take care of it. So you are obviously aware of the reputation of Nissan cvt’s. So how do you take care of it so it will last a long time? Honestly I love the car and want to buy it. The cvt is my only hesitation. Please respond. Thanks.

    • @NothinButCarReviews
      @NothinButCarReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Scheduled maintenance of the CVT is crucial to keep it going. Nissan’s owner’s manuals goes into detail about what to do though I believe.

      2024 sentra is supposed to have a new cvt. The rogue for 22 got a new cvt that has a chain instead of a belt. Fuel economy might improved also when the 24 sentra comes out

    • @AOMVideoProductions
      @AOMVideoProductions ปีที่แล้ว

      @@occckid123 do you know what models Nissan models will have the chain for their CVTs?

    • @occckid123
      @occckid123 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AOMVideoProductions Idk about when other nissan models will use the chain but idk if that's good or bad. Just because ots a chain doesn't really mean anything. My 16 altima doesn't use a chain and I got 430k miles on it. The pathfinder used a chain and had many problems but I think that was more of a moving trans fluid around issue that they eventually fixed.

    Excuse me for sounding kinda dumb.. but what’s sport mode and eco mode? Why use it? In what instances would someone use it? 🤔 thanks!

    • @NothinButCarReviews
      @NothinButCarReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sport mode when you want to accelerate faster, and it keeps shift points high, eco mode keeps you from burning gas based on pedal response.

    I’ve owned this car for 3 months about 7k miles.
    I bought it for a work car. I drive about avg and get 39mpg.
    Surprisingly soft ride. Only complaint the seats are hard like a rock so I added a gel top.

    I guess I was just the unlucky one. I bought mine almost a year ago and 5 months later the steering wheel started making noise and the dealership had to change the rack and pinion. Now it’s starting to make that same noise again and I hope it’s just due to the hot weather cuz else I’m definitely gonna file a complaint to manufacture and hope their car’s quality gets better.

    It’s funny how in the Sentra SV they give you radar cruise standard ($23,000)but it’s not standard on any of the Altima unless you go for the SL or Platinum

    Negotiate those and you really got a competitive price.

    So far, comparing this to the Corolla and Civic. I'm leaning towards the Corolla as my next car. From what I can see in this test drive, the A pillar is chonky. It actually reminds me of my current car. Visibility around that A pillar is very poor.
    I'm also not a fan of push button start. I'd prefer a key. Someday, the batteries in that fob will die. I wouldn't want to be out somewhere when that happens. Sure, it would probably take a decade before that happens, but I hold onto my cars that long. My current car is 13.5 years old. It's reached a point where the batteries in the TPMS have died in three tires and just about to go in the fourth tire.

    Sorry, this is made in Mexico junk! Might be fine now, but this car with NEVER last long term. Expect MAJOR mechanical issues are around 75K where you will be dumping tons of money into it to keep in on the road....no thanks!

      I bought a new VW Golf in 1995 made in Mexico. Kept it for 13 years. Not an exciting by any means. All i bought for it was brakes, exhaust, 1 timing belt. Head gasket started leaking at 130k miles. Made in Mexico! (So is my new Sentra)
