    If you ever had to pay to replace an LED headlight you’ll be glad this car has halogens. Still one of the best looking cars and a great value for the price.

    I prefer the placing of blind spot indicators on the pillars, you see them all the time, they're inside and your view to it is not interrupted by weather and light reflections

    I drove the 2020 SV for three years issue free. It’s just a nice car front to back and there were very few times I felt like I was driving a budget sedan. Recently upgraded to the 2023 SR with premium package and I really believe Nissan is back

    • @belaircarguy
      @belaircarguy 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      CVTs have been getting better each year. I had a 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek with CVT. Always felt like it was hunting for a gear, and somewhat jerky and slow from a stop light. OK when driving a constant 65 MPH on the highway. Next car was a 2018 Nissan Altima with CVT. Much better and unless you really jumped on the acceleration, it was pretty smooth. Under hard acceleration, it was jerky. Now have a 22 Nissan Altima with CVT. Vastly better. Feels like it shifts like a standard automatic, and frankly, if you drove it without knowing differently, you would say it was a normal automatic with shift points. Of course, the CVT gets great mileage also. Both Altima's got about 33 MPH in mixed driving and 39-40 MPH on the highway. Can't beat that! Also, great thing is that the Nissans do not have "Start Stop", which is one of the worst features ever put in cars. I like that you start the engine, and it stays running until I turn it off.

    Tastes differ: I don't like lane departure warning. I turned it off. I like where the blind spot monitoring is placed. It is easy for me to see. Also, I find it easy to push the button to open the car. My last car I had to have the key out. I find pushing the button so much more convenient. I also agree: I love the space in Nissan cars, and I love the gas mileage. I sometimes get 43.4 mpg on the expressway. I have the Kicks SV.

Don’t want to get soaked almost every evening commuting from work. Would you recommend this over a similar spec Elantra? The Civic and Corolla are probably better overall but too expensive. I just want to go from A to B. I like your reviews. No nonsense and make great points.

      Unfortunately I haven't driven the newest version of the Elantra, so I can't speak intelligently on that. However I will say that this Sentra exceeded my expectations, and based on the MSRP I think it does present a very good value proposition. Maybe I'll try to get my hands on an Elantra soon to review one.

      @@sallyjb6209 First "mod" I'll be doing on my 23 Sentra is LED everything. I've put over 2k miles on my 23. The stock halogens are decent. LED are brighter and last much longer. The lack of DRL sucks compared to my 2014 Sonic, but not too expensive an upgrade.

      I have 2022 Pathfinder and Sentra. I looked deep into CVT issue before buying the Sentra. It appears the entire issue was related to using under temp rate fluid. This was burning up and burning up the CVT. Now the use a Inhemistu (hope I spelled that right) brand rate up to 165 degrees. I changed mine and went for the Castrol CVT/ATM swappable fluid rated at 200 degrees.
