I wonder if you can buy a mouth net. So you put around your head and mouth to stop the incys going in. But just think of that free extra protein if one pops in. The flooring looks great, l hope you varnished both sides. Great vlog, never a down day. And Chris I like the way you say Narrowboat.

I would agree with you regarding the lights, if you get a pair, you can pick a design you like, and would remove the issue of having a shiny new one, and a not so shiny one.
I nearly purchased a pair a while back bur was worried id knock them off again, but it is something I need to do, yes we have been in touch with the lady...so hopefully she can just repair that one bit, Beccas steps are amazing bless her thanks Martin

I’m watching you from my daughters as the house is now officially handed to the real estate agent and we’re living in the caravan. Just so you know you’re not alone with problems. Day 1 driving from the house we just sold to the park we’re currently staying in a window in the caravan broke, it’s a European van so hard to get the parts. Day 3 the air con stopped,we can’t get it into an air con guy until the 8th September. Yesterday we learned a house we’d been after to buy in Victoria went under offer. There’s a few more things but this is long enough. The floor is amazing, looks brilliant. Chris I suggest a mask to sleep in so spiders can’t get into anything. Another brilliant and funny vlog, I’ll catch up with the next one as soon as I can. Take care guys. 💕

SPIDER'S 😢 My Daughter is sooooo frightened of SPIDER'S so your not on your own. Your narrow boat is coming on well regardless of the little bump you had. It's a bump you won't experience again, we hope. Take care and stay safe 😊
He is terrified. I think we spend about 80% of the time talking about spiders!! Oh bless her, they seem to scare a lot of people. I don't mind them really so I haven't got much advise other than to picture them as little mission impossible bods dangling down on their silk!!!!! Haha! Yes let's hope so!!! One thing that really concerns me about this boat is the potential for fire. You really need to make sure you have adequate escape hatches, multiple fire extinguishers, and you might consider creating a few small open points to allow you to discharge and extinguisher behind the walls and deck.
Thanks for your concern, we could do with updating the fire extinguishers actually though do have a few in date, hatch wise we have absolutely tones so no problem there,thanks for following our journey 😀

If the steps bother you then maybe have the two steps come up level to the outside ...preventing trip hazard and still keep storage (new steps mark two )but the steps are fantastic well done 👏

Spiders don't like vinegar. Put a few containers of vinegar around the boat. Even better heat it first. A friend of mine has cleared his boat that way.
Nice work guys,watch out for those spiders chris😂😂i am fainally out on the cut,i managed to knacker the gearbox/prop coupling on my second cruise,i just put it in forward and big bang the buzzer going off then engine stopped followed by me saying some choice words lol i reckon its a sacrificial bolt,or at least hope its nothing more lol
@@TheNomadicCrobot hasnt worked out to bad,the gearbox and prop are fixed together with a coupling with a bolt through both,and when i looked the bolt had sheared as its meant to to prortect the gearbox i think,anyway i got an engineer to check it while i had to go home and hes putting it all back together tomorrow thank god with a new bolt,so ready for cruising when i get back sunday lol
You are both originally from somewhere not far from where I’m originally from,when I was a nipper we would go to Royston Heath if it Snowed. I’m originally from Sawston and now not far from you in Bedford.( No I’m not following you Chris 😁 ). Oh that’s what I was going to ask :- Where’s the old Freelander gone ?. I’ve seen someone who had wooden steps and what they ended up doing with them because they went Slippery was they cleaned them back ( you won’t need to do that bit ) and then they used a spray adhesive and used Silver Sand ( The sand that you get for children’s sand pits ) then they used a sealer over the top of the Sand,so they could clean it and the grains wouldn’t fall off. Hope you are both feeling better soon x

I once inhaled a spider while asleep. I woke choking and a furry feeling in my mouth. i tried to spit it out and it went down my throat and got stuck for two days. I in the meanwhile tried everything to boil, freeze and drown it, but no luck. it gave me nightmares for months. I slept with a gauze mask for a year afterwards.
Never bend over in the shower block, spiders may be the least of your worries……….. Stunning floor and you may want to look for a manufacturer name on the navigation light, may narrow down your search
There's only one thing for if then Chris your gonna have to sleep with a stocking pulled down over your face to stop certain death from one of those throat biting spiders that are no doubt hiding on your boat just waiting until the hours of darkness to have a go at making you front page news mate 😂😂. . I have a Spider living in my Office / future YT studio, thats big enough I named it "Bob".Hahaha. Bob hangs out near the ceiling& thanks to my set up, I have not been able to either catch him, or kill him. Hahaha. After the Arizona Spiders (Tarantulas, black widows & big hairy biker looking type spiders) the ones in Berlin seem all a lil harmless. Although Bob is exceptionally big& hairy, he ain't nothing near what Ive seen. So by now I am more worried when I do not see him...
I do fint naming them helps the fear.i wouldn't last 2 minutes in Australia, good luck with Bobs extraction. Big sounds very very scary ...exactly...were the hell could he be??

If you walk along the wooden bridge at Marsh Lock on the Thames at #Henley in the day, you run your hands along the wooden hand-rail without a care in the world .... How-Ever! .. Once it gets almost dark and you walk over it you can see, as the lights shine through, that there are Hundreds of the biggest Spiders You'll EVER want to see have crawled out from under the handrail to set their TRAPS for every unsuspecting insect that DARES to fly through the bridge after dark .... And YES! those Dang Spiders WERE there when you ran your hands along the hand-rail 😂🤣😂
