With your question about why arena leaves Mirrex open, I'm pretty sure that arena tries to leave up the lands that produce the most colors. So on the turn you play Mirrex it thinks that its a land that produces the 5 colors along with colorless but doesn't take into account that it will just produce colorless when you end your turn. For every turn after if Mirrex and 3 other mana is up it will also try to leave it up. That would be my best guess though.
I'm pretty sure I've had it leave Mirrex open even when I didn't have the mana to activate it. Also, tapped the Mirrex when I would have mana to use it. But the autotapper does a lot of things to mitigate life loss and such with land use.
Yeah the pain lands have also been an auto tapping joy. Between the pain lands, Mirrex, and sometimes running virtue of strength with Shigeki shenanigans I've had to develop a subconscious habit of double checking the auto tapper.
I built a Historic version of this idea a few months back. The best reason to do it in Historic is Tenacious Pup. Giving the Obliterator vigilance and Glissa vigilance and trample makes both much bigger threats and makes the deck way more fun.
@@AkodoNoEyes hell yeah!! Pup into Glissa into Binding The Old Gods, resetting every other turn, and protect with Tamiyo's Protection!! It's enough to make a lot of people scoop after one turn.
@@AkodoNoEyes Y'all are the only the ones that keep talking about it. Sooner or later I'm gonna start losing subscribers as the black suits come pick you up.
Not something I would lean on. If maybe you wanted to replace the bushwhacks with those maybe, but that would be it. Though I'd rather fill those slots with stuff to help with problematic matchups.
That 2nd match win against fight rigging and Toxrill was epic! Cheers!
Thanks. That one was close. It was about one turn from starting to get away.
Oh, the irony of fight rigging.
Omg I know, right?!

@@PowrDragnyou’re correct. It almost always leaves Mirrex open. Especially if you have the mana to activate it.

I have the T Pup in my Historic version!!!! Great minds!!!!

Ha! I mailed off to get that Arena card. I had no idea people might still use it.
Yeah, not a crazy value to it, but still more than I thought there would be. There are some decks though that could use this effect for sure.
Yo that second game was siiiiick
It was!
I use a type of this deck in Mythic all the time. Definitely more wins than losses.
Mythic is always strange, because I run into way more brews than actual decks, so even my bad concoctions win there. :)
@@PowrDragn hahaha!
Second game why did you not fight the 7/5 creature instead of toxrill?
Yeah. True
The first rule about Fight Club is you do not talk about Fight Club LOL
No one is talking about but you. The black suits aren't coming for me.
