Thanks for playing our game, glad you enjoyed it! In our next update the codex will automatically scroll to the newest document so you won't get confused. Also hoping to release a new level next month that replaces the second level.
I have seen several people play it and I quite enjoy it! The one thing I think would add to the “quality” and “memorability” of the scare factor a little bit is a little more personality to some of the monsters. And I don’t mean that harshly because I think they already have a ton of character, but for example the one I was thinking of was if the black cloaked Dementor thing appeared “glitchy” and kinda “shook” a little while it was chasing you, it would be very cool and very scary! I thought it was when Sean was cornered by it and the lights were flashing, but I realized that I was just seeing its shadow. But if it looked like it did during that section it would be so cool! kind of like it’s a creature from another dimension and it’s body doesn’t appear “normal” to humans. :) Edit: the section around 21:45 is what I’m referring to, it’s creature 216
I think most people can agree that hearing footsteps rapidly approaching you and not knowing where they are coming from and how exactly close they are is the most nerve shattering experience. It’s something that with proper buildup in a game gets the fight or flight terror moving through your veins. Absolutely horrible, 10/10 scare.
-People throwing chairs -Creepy kids hiding in the bathroom -Broken plumbing -Flickering lights Idk Jack, I taught HS for years, and this just seems like a pretty normal day
I loved how there was a second or two delayed reaction because he was too busy admiring the reflections and being nostalgic about SCP to notice the horrible monster in the end of the hallway 😂
I think what makes the doll super scary is the fact that you’re unable to see it actually moving. Not being able to gauge how fast she’s actually running combined with the super fast sound of her little footsteps makes it feel like she’s running after you faster than she actually is. It makes you paranoid and always feel like the next time you turn around to face her, she’ll stop just one step in front of you.
Exactly, every time the little pitter patter started but I couldn’t see her I would get so freaked out and my heart would race. It’s something that shouldn’t be as scary as it is but holy shit is it effective
@@NottherealLucifer yeah I don't understand how with games like that one scp game that I forget was named where you had a blink bar, not the multiplayer one I don't think, but I always wondered how they balanced scp-173 not just immediately killing you if you aren't looking the right direction and ending games early.
When Jack nearly ran face first into the monster in the flooded bathrooms, I actually let out an actual yell of sheer surprise and terror along with him. This game is pretty good at making you very uneasy because you know that something is there. The only problem being that you could hear the doll pitter pattering all over the place, so you knew to be cautious (of course that increases your stress and paranoia tenfold, but let's leave that aside for now) but the thing in the bathroom was astoundingly quiet, thereby forcing you to rely on sight and speed to keep it at arm's length, which I really appreciate. The game design and (jump) scares here work pretty well together
That sound effect of the kid's footsteps would be a great auditory illusion for a haunted house. The concept of it in total would be hilarious, really. You're navigating through a creepy setting and you hear the little rapid steps behind you and you've gotta escape...? That'd be awesome

The doll is seen standing just on front of him. 21:04 (minor) jack opens the door and the doll is standing just to the left on the other side. He squeaks past it. 21:33 (MAJOR) Jack re-enters hallway and shadow figure screams into existence in front of him. Room turns red. Shadow chases him through several rooms. It loses his scent temporarily but finds him again. Kills jack at 22:07. 23:11 (MAJOR) "It really is like SCP meets--" and then a long limbed monster crawls over the stall in the distance, screaming, and chases him. 23:49 (MAJOR) monster screams, camera turns around to be face to face with it, and it kills Jack. 27:28 (moderate) longlimb appears from the right and screeches, chases Jack. 28:11 (MAJOR) Longlimb is right around the corner, screeches and chases. Jack SOMEHOW gets away. 28:58 (moderate) longlimb is down the dark red hallway. Sees Jack, screeches, chases. Gets away again! 29:27 (moderate) sees him again. Screeches, chases. Not only does Jack escape, he finds the exit. Amazing haha. 31:24 (MAJOR) A new entity, creepy smiley face against pitch blackness, jumpscares Jack At this timestamp and kills him. 32:05 (moderate) lighting dims to yellow and Smiley let's out that glitchy screech. Though we can't see where he's coming from. 32:53 (minor) Smileys face appears in distant doorway asking with his screech. 33:54 (moderate) Smiley appears in front of Jack, no screech. But rushes into him. Doesn't kill him though. And that's the last scare of the video.
I absolutely hate this horror game because of how scared it makes me feel just watching it. It’s very well made and I’m happy Jack played it. He brings some fun and laughter into it.
I love horror a lot, and this concept has always instilled a deep fear in me. Being followed, and having no way of stopping it or doing anything about it at all, absolutely terrifying. Jack makes it better with his humour, though! ^^
This game has such great ambience. The monsters are genuinely terrifying. The little doll’s pitter pattering was HORRIFIC. I got scared just watching. Kinda blown away at how great this game is
Yeah it’s very creepy love that creepy doll that follows you when you’re not looking, interested to see what other monsters will appear in the full game
The developers were brilliant to make the game in the style of a found-footage film! It adds to the suspense of whether the player character survives or not, since what we're seeing could just be the footage he left behind after he disappeared. Clever!
I actually disagree on some level. There's a night and day difference, in my opinion. I'd like to say first off that this is not a hate comment, just my experience. A few years ago, a great number of TH-camrs including Seán were extremely loud (and honestly a touch obnoxious) to the point that I can't go back and watch old playthroughs. I have chronic migraines and there are sound qualities that immediately cleave my skull in half. Seán has chilled out a lot. He's more thoughtful, less shrill, and seems to be more insightful these days. The way he uses his voice now feels healthier. I’ve tried to describe to people what that bathroom/underground/pool tile thing is, that’s always flooding or about to flood, and it’s been captured here. Bravo!! 23:28 woah!!!! I made this comment before I’d watched the whole video. I hadn’t seen the flooded bit! Incredible!
Loudest TH-camr ever playing a stealth game that listens to your mic... and hyper enough to constantly throw around things that make noise when you throw them. I'm amazed you made it to the end of the content. 🤣

Oh my GOSH this may just be my favourite horror game in existence. I LOVE it so much!!! Something that makes me really happy is how everything is so interactive. It makes the environment, in my opinion, 100 times more atmospheric and it just gives the game a certain ‘finish’. The sounds, the visuals, everything is just great. And then to have it be played by my favourite TH-camr, lol…serotonin levels are through the roof :)))

This was so fun to watch lol. I appreciate the fact that you read the things you found, instead of either just showing it for a moment so we can pause then read, or just simply skipping over it. I know reading things like that when you're recording for a video can be a pain. So thank you

For some reason this video made me really interested in how the ireland school years worked. Now that im graduating highschool (US) it's really cool to see how other countries teach their young. Keep up the amazing work Sean, been watching you since the Happy Wheels era and never stoppned. You' ve never failed to entertain me, let alone all your subscribers.
THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH for bringing back your intro!! I've missed yelling your outro with you SO MUCH, that I just watched one of your old videos just to hear it!!
This game is so interactive that i bet if there was a cat they would let you pet it AND feed it. But then it would end up being a demon trying to kill you.
I'm scared to death watching this, the sound designs are so good and the jump scare in all is so good too! Well done for the people who created this. The arts, the environment and the ambience is really cool. Sadly it's still an early access for now! Hope it'll be available soon.
I absolutely love games like these that encorporate "dream" like qualities that feel like they're real but you know somethings off. My favorite parts are when things seem to "pop into reality" or when the brain percieves it as appearing out of thin air, but really it was there all along. They really took everything into consideration with this one, it's tiny things like this that makes a game really stand out.
The scariest thing would be when the player had gotten "comfortable" with the childs movements but *suddenly* she starts moving when you're looking at her

“Hey, uh entities? It’s me ya boi.” I just love Sean’s commentary so much. He’s always got me giggling and his videos make my day. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Same, I love the Shane Madej reference there😂
Is it just me or has Seán been looking extra handsome lately? Not that he doesn’t all the time…there’s just something about him 🤔
No seriously!!! I had a huge crush on him at 14, well now I'm almost 20 and... Why he kinda
the hair n the earring… handsome guy for sure
Hes a very fine gentleman indeed, gab should be proud she was able to get him
Seán's listening face makes me smile each time I see it. He puts his fingers under his chin and touches their finger tips together. So funny, like a physical embodiment of "Go on."
You know it’s gonna be a good day when Jack uploads
Very true statement.
A very good day indeed
@Dont_Read_My_Picture I am going to grab you by the hair, forcefully bleach it while "accidentally" spilling bleach in your eyes and throat, and then I'm going to dye your hair baby-poop green and make you order mcdonalds in person with your baby-poop green hair and then proceed to eat all of the mcdonalds infront of you, and then forcefully make myself projectile vomit onto your freshly dyed hair so its not only baby-poop green but also barf colored aswell.
Yep! Just in time for my lunch break too 😊
I may be having a bad day but reading this everywhere is making me sick
The fact that the doll gouges out your eyes if it catches you is crazy.
i had to pause at 24:07, cuz Jack has this incredible gift of getting the viewer fully involved and I got scared! 😂😂😂
The footsteps following you was a top notch addition to a horror/ thriller game. Highly impressed by this game
There are parts of this game that feel legitimately out of dreams I’ve had.
I love how every time jack is making a joke about someone in a horror game he then gets jump scared immediately
just saw this was uploaded after i finished the first two dredge episodes, i'm loving all these horror playthroughs they make my absolute day, thank you so much sean!!
definitely need more dredge episodes
@@Rakinx96 we'll get them soon i'm sure!
i love love LOVEEE the amount horror gameplays jack’s been posting lately
Jack in the final area: "Maybe I should try being quiet."
Also Jack: "A glowstick."
You’re nothing Nathan.
@@thejohnsweeney
So what does that make you?
@@justanormaldilo.249 a bot, in all likelihood.
Jack playing funny games is one thing, but jack playing horror games is just on another level
I’ll never be more excited than when my favorite Let’s Players play one the few horror games I absolutely stan.
12:51 this is actually a poster in my classroom, nice detail there.
This is the first horror game to have me truly tensed in a good while, truly instilled a sense of dread with those little feet following you. Great game all around!
Jack your coffee brew is some of the best I've ever had not even joking! Props to you man!
hearing jack say that he hopes that the images on the board weren't AI generated made me feel a little bit better about life
When
@@thatonesociallyawkwardginger he comes up on a board full of pictures around 13:30 and touches briefly on the topic of AI generation shortly after 'v'
Who cares? It's all background in the devs original artwork, the game.
@@billbill6094 i'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you don't know much about the production and distribution of digital artwork, or the problem of AI "art" as a whole. the problem that using AI "art" would present if the creator of the game wasn't using their own art is that they would be profiting off the work of the original creators without the original creators receiving any sort of compensation, as is often the case of AI creations. there is a host of information available on how AI "art" is negatively impacting the art community, i'd welcome you to look into it!
@@bendustkas But i thought ai generated pics were without an author or do you mean the creators of the ai?
From getting wisdom teeth removed. To Jacks videos perfect mix bc I can't hurt when he's there
This was so fun to watch lol. I appreciate the fact that you read the things you found, instead of either just showing it for a moment so we can pause then read, or just simply skipping over it. I know reading things like that when you're recording for a video can be a pain. So thank you
A friend of mine once described an "interesting" acoustical phenomenon he encountered. Something about a stairwell at his old school made the echoes of your own footsteps sound like they're coming from BEHIND you.
jack, please keep the great horror games coming. everyday i look forwards to them so much, it’s very much the thing keeping me going rn
Good old Sean, still admiring reflections in every game he plays. 😂❤
Honestly made my day hearing sean saying he hope's it isn't ai. With how many people it's harmed, I'm glad to know my favorite TH-camr has us artists back. Thank you Sean
10:38 my dog, peacefully snoozing on my bed next to me, actually started growling at random at this exact moment and it scared the shit out of me LMFAO
“Kill it, kill the child- hit it with the chair!!”
~Jack 2023
Btw- this game was a hell of a lot more terrifying than I could’ve imagined! That giant creature booming around was unbelievably scary
Watching sean play a game that physically requires him to be quiet at times is THE most funny videos I’ve seen make😂☠️
That was actually quite good! I was scared several times - and even jumped & screamed once. When I saw that slide(?) I was really into the story of it, but then ... denied. I hope the rest is soon completed and he plays it when it is!
Love your work! My wife and I always watch your content. Thanks for the laughs!
Sean’s “hey uhhh entities it’s me ya boy” sending me back to the buzzfeed unsloved days
For some reason this video made me really interested in how the ireland school years worked. Now that im graduating highschool (US) it's really cool to see how other countries teach their young. I know this is supposed to be for entertainment purposes, but i felt an educational aspect from this video aswell. Keep up the amazing work Sean, been watching you since the Happy Wheels era and never stoppned. You' ve never failed to entertain me, let alone all your subscribers.
all i can say is ive already been binging your horror gameplays as i work on some
projects, so this timming is perfect ^^
I absolutely love the amount of horror content that is being put out recently
THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH for bringing back your intro!! I've missed yelling your outro with you SO MUCH, that I just watched one of your old videos just to hear it!!
Holy CRAP I don't think I've ever caught a video so soon after uploading. Can't wait to get spooked lmao
BRO SAME
same, I didn't even get my notification yet lol!
Thanks for cheering me up, Sean. It's been a rough couple of days. I can always count you to make me laugh.
This game is so interactive that i bet if there was a cat they would let you pet it AND feed it.
But then it would end up being a demon trying to kill you.
Really enjoyed this playthrough. You could feel jack's energy and it was getting me immersed. This is the good stuff.
I'm scared to death watching this, the sound designs are so good and the jump scare in all is so good too!
Well done for the people who created this. The arts, the environment and the ambience is really cool. Sadly it's still an early access for now! Hope it'll be available soon.
13:00 my English teacher lowkey has this exact same poster exept the last word is something like and how you used it
"Is it picking up my mic? Uh-oh" 🤣🤣 that mini terror is everything
At 5:35 you can see the player holding a recorder. Nice bit of detail!
3:53 See guys, Jack is clearly not just green PewDiePie. He _hates_ chairs.
This game really got me. Especially the wierd creature hanging out in the super sized bathroom.
Sean's comedy makes horror games less scary
The scariest thing would be when the player had gotten "comfortable" with the childs movements but *suddenly* she starts moving when you're looking at her
been watching you for nine years man! since happy wheels and whoo boy!! I found out I had ADHD with you haha, I grew up and came into who I am as a person with you. not to sound all parasocial since I literally don’t know you at all, but of all the youtubers you’re seriously my favorite. keep up all the incredible work, you’re saving lives just by being you.
Jack running head on into the water level creature as he rounded the corner actually scared the hell out of me and caught me off guard 😂
This is for sure one of the scariest games I’ve seen a long while. Like it actually made me panic and cover my face
28:15 scared the life out of me! I was basically seizing and i had candy but my hand shook so violently that it stayed in place as my hand shook and then my hand went back under it before it fell (its hard to understand but its just hard to explain)
16:31 - I swear I've heard this laugh from the mystery box in CoD: Zombies.
took me 12 minutes to realize we in Winnipeg! So glad to see kids missing from my home town :)
Such a great game, can't wait for more of it to come out. Loved the reactions Sean lol
I'm starting to think Sean was a cat in another life, knocking shit off tables.
The last level was terrifying, props to Jack for another amazing video
13:01 i cant be the only one who sees this as the reference to that one popular liminal space image of a school hallway,,
"Wait... where am I? This is not where I was before!"
Me: Yeah, that's how moving works.
Jack's being on a orror marathon lately and I am Loving it
5:45
Jack: what was that!?
Me: the devil. Satan is back Jack, and he’s trying to capture you for money. Tom nook has returned.
I love how you always make me laugh with your hilarious reactions. You’re such a joy to watch
