if this game had modern graphics, it would have been way too much, but the potato graphics really made this game. The writing was pretty good too. It also pretty much nailed what it feels like sometimes when you're a woman, riding the bus at night alone tbh.
Eh, I wouldn't really say the writing was that good tbh. Early in the game we learn that Samantha died in the fire because they literally found her body in a locked room yet somehow she actually survived and became the womb ripper. Louis literally disappeared though. No one knows where he is so it just makes much more sense for Louis to be the womb ripper. It just feels like they made Samantha be the womb ripper to have some sort of crazy twist even though it doesn't make any sense
@@ivanvenne I agree the plot writing wasn't that fantastic and had a lot of room for improvement, but I thought the dialogue was really well written. This is evidenced by the fact that Sean's first instinct on what to say in response to the dialogue presented to him was almost exactly what the main character would say in response; this shows that the dialogue is at least realistic in terms of how the average person would actually respond to what is being said to them. And like a previous person said, the bus scene was uncomfortably realistic in terms of dialogue and situation. I would love to read a play or screenplay written by the writer/s of this game, honestly
i have three things to say: 1. patron sounds like meowth 2. season 2 of woman simulator looks amazing and 3. pizza guy deserves his own spin off series
Seán skipping over the gross dialogue filled me with an inexplicable joy. Guys have said and sent that type of shit to me, it's nice to know one who sees how gross and disturbing those comments actually are. I will admit that they added to the game's atmosphere, I was scared for Sara.
Yeah but he also skipped her sweet comeback. She straight up roasted that bus driver, and as a guy that put a huge smile on my face because I too hate it when people act like that. I always say that an asshole should get what they deserve, and so I loved it when she clapped back.
This one genuinely got me, fiancé and I were watching this while eating dinner and towards the end I screamed out loud. She did too (or maybe it was because I screamed). Either way this one was a good one Jack
@@taya5304 people should just stop being so sensitive that someone's artistic style of a creation gets them feeling so upset they end up hating a game or movie.. thick skin 100% is better than crying over everything out there someone doesn't like
So it took me a while to notice, but the bloody washing machines? The impressions are clearly that of babies. Samantha wasn't just killing them, in her twisted state of mind, she probably thought putting them in the washing machines afterwards would make them immortal, that the machines would act as a surrogate womb. Her mind was SUPER broken.
As someone who gets a LOT of eye strain from playing / watching anything with those filters, but also as someone who loves analog horror as a genre, two things: 1. Thank you to any developer that makes this a toggleable option, and 2. Thank YOU, Sean, for turning it off. Genuinely makes such a positive difference in my experience of watching it.
I think it also depends on how much you buy into those oldschool, PS1esque graphics, and what you think of jumpscares and how they're made (personally i despise the "something pops up with a loud-ass noise" scares, they're just basic instinct :P )
Bus Driver: I don't know if I believe that, it's a little late to be doing laundry Sara (Is holding a basket of Laundry, is wearing dirty clothes, probably has a bottle of detergent with her): Is that so?
Jack: "I don't get scared" Game: "I think I heard something coming from that closet?" Jack: "What this one?" Jack: "JESUS!" Jack: "HOBO JO" Jack: "OH LORD"
Here’s a tip: In all video games, if you find a keypad lock or any other kind of number lock, check if it’s 0451 or 451. This code originates from Looking Glass studios. It was the door code for their offices and they put it in their games. It became an inside joke basically. Typically used in immersive sims, but it’s always good to try it as it’s pretty widespread as seen in this game.
I was thinking how weird it was for Sara to just walk in to the men's bathroom without any hints of shameful dialogue, or whatever, and now we just know that Samantha was just chilling in one of the men's stalls for a long time.
31:02 when he read the number instead of singing it and said “Did I need another code for something?” I died a little inside 😂 love your videos Sean! **Edit: Just for clarification in case y’all don’t know, Sean is Irish and lives in the UK so he may have never even heard the song, and probably didn’t even realize it was a phone number because our phone numbers are written differently!**
Call him the "Silent Irish" killer, a man who uses the screams of his victims to sneak up on them, then drowns them in alcohol and leaves them in the back alleys of pubs.

This game feels so realistic. It makes me unconsiously, like irl, always keep in mind my exits and surroundings in general when in public. How on edge some people might feel watching this game is sometimes how most people, especially woman feel in public at this time of day
definitely, i think it portrayed how it felt be walking around as someone who is woman/feminine at night so well. Part of me was a little sad for that reason that Sean skipped over some of the more unsettling dialogue, since it was incredibly realistic and added to that feeling. But they were sexual and gross so I do understand
this just heightens the fact that I am not aware of my surroundings even tho I should me. I'm so happy I don't go anywhere besides school or safe places at night because goodness.
I always like to know where I can get out of somewhere as well as what's around me, especially at night but during the day as well. And if I have to go to a store after dark you bet my truck is parked under a light and I don't walk without having at least my keys defense ready

Omggg this happened to me years ago coming back home from an anime convention. I waited at a bus stop at night with a couple of people. All I hear is "oh he's got a knife" all of us waiting turned to this guy headed towards the bus stop, he was tweaking with something in hand (I couldn't really see cause it was dark), but I trusted the guys that bolted like a bat out of hell (they literally left me at the bus stop!) and I ran down several blocks until I couldn't see the bus stop anymore.

if this game had modern graphics, it would have been way too much, but the potato graphics really made this game. The writing was pretty good too. It also pretty much nailed what it feels like sometimes when you're a woman, riding the bus at night alone tbh.
Yes exactly, the bus scene was terrifying because it was familiar, it was even scarier for me since the protagonist and i have the same name:)
@Outlaw Comrade I think the pixelated look adds to it. My minds fill in the gaps and made it so much worse.
Idk, I feel like the potato graphics made it scarier for me. Idk y tho.

Sara is one of the best final girls in horror media, she was pregnant and still managed to kill Samantha.
I was thinking how weird it was for Sara to just walk in to the men's bathroom without any hints of shameful dialogue, or whatever, and now we just know that Samantha was just chilling in one of the men's stalls for a long time.
