I found out why Steven used dialga it is because Maxie has groudon Archie has Kyogre and the rival has rayquaza so Stephen has dialga and Wallace has palkia so Cynthia has giratina
So many times Sceptile's damage fell just short, truly the Sceptile experience

I think it would be better to only use 1 point Pokemon even after the starters
That's not hard if you have all egg moves (and I guess it doesn't count but you can lower the price of Pokemon with candies )

At about 10:50 - you never buy max revives. Revive+Hyper Potion has the same effect for cheaper.
The 137 shop doesn't follow that rule though
Max Revive: $6848
Revive:$4980 + Hyper Potion: $1992 = $6972
It is $124 cheaper to just buy Max Revive
Although another example at wave 147 proves that wrong, so I guess it fluctuates?
Max Revive: $7950
Revive: $5520 + Hyper Potion: $2208 = $7728
In this case, Revive + Hyper Potion is $222 cheaper
It's not especially later, plus hyper potion heals you only 50% past level 100.

Whenever I need to revive; I find Revivie+Hyper costs about 5% less than Max.

Finished my Hoenn run first try with Aggron (no mega but he STEALTH ROCK HEAD WOMBO COMBO), Shiny Pelipper and Ludicolo the rain trio, Mawile (no mega but he's there only for Ray), and my favorite old and reliable Sceptile (no mega but he out speed everyone + dragon energy). I love this squad.
I didn't add any set up moves on sceptile because I want him to take them out once their pokemon is at half hp or frail af.

Dude far from perfect, try latias with soul heart ability, stored power, quiver dance. I litterally 1 shot 90% of whole classic with it. 100% one shot round 195 and 200 especially. Was so satisfying.
Swablu was my first shiny pokemon ever and i found it in Emerald. I was in tears when i accidentally released him 😂😭

Surprised you still don't run a pick up mon in your set up to rack up berries. Leppa berries mean no worries about PP ever again and it's such a nice quality of life not having to waste money on that or status (thanks to lum berries).
Pokerogue keeps getting better and your playthroughs are among the best for sure, loving the vods.

Shouldve spliced Salamence with Sceptile, slightly worse special attack sure but you get dragon stab on dragon energy, buffing it to an effective 225 Base power on top of gaining Intimidate, unless your salamence was HA, dont think it was though.
Megas only sounds both hard and easy
how does your moves show effectiveness next to the pokemon like 1x 2x 1.5x 0.5x HOW????

how do you get the overlay that shows supereffective moves and not very effective moves? In game settings??
Press the M button and look under settings, you should be able to find it.

For me, the Gen only challenge is bugged. I completed a Gen 6 only Challenge with only 4 Mons (Aegislash, Florges, Delfox and Gourgeist) and it didn't give me the quest...

@@GAMERO-PHOBIA that's not the point. My point is that Sceptile is pure Grass in main series, and PokeRogue is following that for Pokemon types, and for movesets and abilities (with a few additions like egg moves, Passives, and stuff like Eeveelutions getting their respective let's go moves, so like Glitzy Glow Espeon is really fun for example)
It's not the goal of PokeRogue to change something like that tho. Otherwise we'd have already gotten that change I think

How do you have the type match ups colored?
Edit: I did already figure this out like a few hours after making the comment tops. It's a setting like "Type help" or something. Reminder that despite type matchups being really important, there's always more then just those (like weather, S.T.A.B, and field conditions) that can change how much damage a move does so doing internal math can help you play better

If you mean the super effective/not very effective indicators it’s an option in the display settings (“type hints” I think)
