Noctowl is great, one of the things I always bring. Boomburst with its aerilite passive is super spamable, start with one Esper Wing to out-speed most things, roost stalling is useful. It's definitely limited by its BST, but it's come in clutch a lot, mainly due to luck (and not just because mine is shiny). After 145 Rayquaza used v-create on one of my mons, it lost some speed and noctowl out-sped for a KO, and humorously noctowl was also my only survivor against Ghetsis' 165 kyurem (hit itself after outrage ended, and a STAB Boomburst sealed the deal). Just love this birb.
So you know: cloyster also has skill link. The only reason it isn’t as memorable is because of its abysmal speed, but that can be fixed by fusing pokemon together
It’s gen 2 only (fusing with Cloyster means you can’t use heracross or Cloyster), also Cloyster gets shell smash and has better speed than heracross (mega at least)
I know how it feels, I always get the dynamax band early but at this point i am convinced that max mushrooms simply do not exist and are in fact a collectice hallucination
Good news is when you finally get a max mushroom and have multiple pokemon that can dmax, you can transfer the mushrooms around and dmax all of them. They may have patched this out.
5:15 The only pokemon that resist Heracross's moveset here are steel ghost types. It can hit 836 pokemon for super effective and 374 with normal. That's honestly kinda nuts

First time I've seen the super effective move text in green, and the multiplier shown next to the opposing Pokémon's name. What does that? A few minutes after I noticed, you mention it's an option in the settings, but not seeing it.

i finished my first run yesterday had skelederge clean sweep i made maxed my special attack with vitamins and then took all the speed and sp atk x items and had multi lens in the last 10 stages spammed torch song had the berries that give me pp after it goes 0 and at stage 200 ggwp i used shadow ball took out eternatus in one hit and then when he went e max multi lens did 3 more shadow balls and literally OHKO which i though never would happen
The only reason why parental bond was good in pokemon was cuz of the move power up punch that was basically a swords dance that did damage and it beats out sturdy. Other than that its essentially just a move that hits another time
As far as perfect weapons go, the best I've had so far is a g-max snorlax fused with a shedinja, legit can only be hit by dark type moves, plus it had belly drum which meant it always dealt insane damage
I think it would be cool if pokerouge added an item Gacha. Instead of eggs, you get item capsules that slowly open over the waves. You could get EXP items, Mega Bracelets, Dynamax Bands, Tera Orbs, and more. It could give you items that you don’t directly use on your Pokémon.
I got icicle spear on Heracross and it's been a blast. Being able to destroy flying types with him is amazing, especially against the rival (assuming she has a grass type starter). But I can't get far enough to get the mega evo... Also, I wanna ask. Is it better to keep Arm thrust instead of Brick break? I know technician makes Arm thrust always hit 5 times but brick break has 75 base attack which is the same as 5 Arm thrusts and until you get the mega evo it's just better
Idk how but i also have a rotom grass form and it carrys my runs once i face flying or water types even if i enter the swamp where you get water ground types since grass is super effective
guts rattata with extreme speed has been good to have as brn prs or psn and guts activates paired with extreme speed is very decent though rhyhorn is good for the early rounds and has been a good way for me to get to level 50 and lunatone is also good for early rounds though it can't take hits really from super effective moves oh and don't be afraid to try mons you wouldn't normally used as some may end up with moves like tachyon blast or even earth power to add some nice coverage to a team so that you can grind levels early on while taking ultra/rogue balls having pokemon that're both fairly defensive and offensive like personally my next run is gonna be with a charge beam/rock throw/shore up regirock as most wild pokemon don't start using special type moves till after the first round of bosses and I figure if I get lucky and ivy has a water or fire type starter then I could maybe cheese it cause that's how rogue types work can't really beat eternatus without grinding out shinies and egg moves as you eventually end up being one shotted even by moves that're not ever effective oh and catching wild boss mon isn't worth it you get a way weaker version like 5 levels lower or so like it's really not worth it unless you got a spare master ball and not enough cash for even a basic revive and even then it might be better to wait on both as often times even with the worst luck you can still almost always get the shit you need like I recall one time it was level 86 or so and my whole team had been wiped and I was just mashing mons thanks to torrent and it was after beating a quagsire that I found some sacred ashes and then ivy tk'd my ass at level 98 meaning if I had somehow won the boss battle would've done me in welp happy hunting
I know ur also wondering, “oh skoottie doesn’t burn cut physical attack in half?” Guts neutralises the debuffing aspect of burn but not the damage so it’s more than worth it to burn heracross
