Hi Howard, As always Christmas decorations are beautiful! It reminds me of the 60's and 70's merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and Jeremy. Kurt
Merry Christmas, Howard! We so enjoyed seeing your collection of lights and vintage decorations. Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season. Take care.
At one part of the video when you said somebody cut the wire on that tree you had to fix that remind me of one year at my grandparents house all of my grandparents blow ups one year all got sliced open and our neighbors All of his blowups got sliced open too. And back then all the bloops that we had at my grandparents house were all the nice blowups we ever had. They were blowups of snow globes helicopter that actually function likes them man I missed them blow ups.
Those are totally old school and nostalgic. Thanks for sharing! On the cutting. I too thought someone cut mine-very clean cut! It’s gotta be rabbits. Happened at both my house and parents so…
The cut was not animals, it was a clean cut through two separate wires with no chew marks anywhere. It looked like someone used a pocket knife to slice them. I think someone docent like my vintage energy sucking bulbs.......
Beautiful, Howard! One has to wonder what would possess an individual to damage Christmas decorations. Good job as always! We actually have neighbours here in Stony Plain Alberta Nick named the Griswalds. You can actually find it on Google maps by typing in Griswald house. Best of the season to you Howard, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I really love the old vintage bulbs. My first time to really enjoy Christmas lights was Christmas 1970 when I was 5 years old. I collect the old GE and interior coated bulbs from Japan. 😃👏❤️🎄🐧⛄
The inside coated bulbs from Japan last forever, there great bulbs. The GE's have the shortest life span of all the bulbs. I make sure I don't put any GE lamps above arms reach due to them not lasting long.
@OldCarAlley Thanks for letting me know. I have far more of the Japanese bulbs and the strings to go with them. Really beautiful. Glad you appreciate the beauty and quality of the old bulbs. J.D.
Me too! If anyone's interested I have a couple shorts and few-minute-long videos on my channel of our lights/decor. No LEDS here! (But your few LEDs look great, Howard!)
Looks wonderful, Howard! So far, just one green, interior coated, Westinghouse C9 has burned out here. I check, daily for burnouts. Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year to you as well.
Yep, I check them daily too. I'v replaced about five C9 bulbs and one C7 Lighted Ice. The backyard lights get tons of hours on them, often on until midnight. On snowy days I'll turn them on during the day why it's snowing..... nothing like lights and snow. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Always nice to see your videos Howard! I'm over in Ypsi Township right on the other side of Belleville. Metro Detroit got more snow than Ann Arbor last night. Your lights look really nice with the snow.
Hi Howard! Everything looks stunning. We ended up not doing our weeping pea shrub outside, we did something different--but I wanted to--inspired by your dwarf cherry! Our oldest bulbs are around 90 years old, and we have lots from the 50s and 60s. C6s, C7s, C9s, C6 bubblers, you name it. If you feel like checking it out, I have a few shorts & short videos on my channel, all of our lights & Christmas decor. Your Christmas videos are some of my favorite 'comfort videos' throughout the year. Thanks for uploading & merry Christmas!
Love the bubble lights that I glimpsed on the indoor tree. We used to have those when I was a kid. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you too, Howard!
Hello, You need to put the old lights on a dimmer,, I have all my old lights on a dimmer it extends the life of the bulbs greatly! especially (the very old swirl bulbs)
Yep, we got an inch of snow and two inches of salt. Early next week is going to be in the 50's with rain to wash that salt away and the snow too..... Merry Christmas
@@leebongirno9670 All the time. I blow out the garden hose every time I use it this time of year, so I can use it to rinse under the car, when it's above freezing.
If I can't have my vintage incandescent bulbs, then I would have none, as I just don't care for the look of LED Christmas lights. You're spot on, they're COLD!
Everything looks great, glad to see the neighbors decorate too. Makes the season festive.
Very nice indeed. It's a beaute Clark!
Nice to see a street with so many decorated homes.
Some of the other streets around here have more decorated homes. Sometime before Christmas, I hope to go check them out.
