Thank you for the blast from the past and quiet interesting Sinn. I like the red hands to make it more readable than simple white hands/markers on black dial/bezel.
Isn't it easier when the minute hand snaps over instead of moves slowly? I mean on a glance it's easier to look down and see 0 minutes and 53 seconds instead of you might think "almost" 1 minute and 53 seconds?
That would be ideal: That the chronograph minute hand was a "jumping hand", but it's harder to achieve engineering wise. However, because the chronograph hand is so big compared to in a sub-dial, it's not really a problem. It's very hard to misjudge by a full minute - even without glasses.
@@massivehero4871 Yes, that is true. Sinn's 717 also uses this movement. It's the modded Valjoux 7750 that I mention in the video, called SZ01 by Sinn. This means the minute hand doesn't do a perfect "jump" - it stutters a little and makes the jump in around a second. But it certainly solves any issue with readability of exactly how many minutes have passed on the chronograph.
Yes, I agree. A 40mm version with a proper 120-click bezel would be an almost-certain success for Sinn. With the Lemania 5100 no longer being available, it would take some work, though.

Peculiar strap - it looks like you can remove it with the spring bars in place.

@@NoNonsenseWatches True. Nonetheless a beautiful watch!
I got my first Sinn this week actually. A U50 S BS. Really happy with it so far!
