But after I got their autographs I saw someone from toy tokyo bring a whole crate of those godzilla pop that you mentioned to have them all autographed then sell them at their booth at the con.
@@dredskl they signed all the ones they brought. They had a cart that had two boxes full of pops. I can't remember the price but I know getting all three autographs weren't expensive. So toy tokyo getting autographed pops and tripling the price of the pop worked out for them.
I think the reason why funko is so popular is because you can buy a figure from your favourite character that doesn’t cost you half of your god damn bank account
The same goes for almost any collectable. If you buy when they first come out, and are lucky enough to find them in Walmart or Target. They'll be relatively cheap. If you wait and have to buy from the secondary market thieves. You'll pay too much.
So many figures from just three kaiju... imagine when Funko unleashes its full power. My favorite Pop is still Sharknado, which they chose to depict as a kaiju-sized shark inside a hurricane (er, 'nado). Makes the creepy black eyes work too.
I had no idea they were making a Legendary Mothra Funko Pop. I cannot wait to see them make the regular Mothra Funko Pop. I hope they make King Ghidorah and Rodan!

The game crossover these characters with some properties, usually from Universal, like: Dreamworks, Jurassic Park/World, Masters of the Universe, Back to the Future and etc... Now, Funko didn't even announced them on the game, and there's not a single video of this on TH-cam, I was planning to do some videos about them but now the game is not compatible with my device anymore.
I love this figures! Especially because of how affordable they are, unlike Nendoroids and SH monster arts figures. They are well detailed and adorable. I got most of the GVK one's and the PX exclusive version of the 239 Funko. But the ten inch Godzilla one is easily my favorite out of all of em.

Fun fact back in summer of 2021 I did met the suit motion capture actor TJ Storm in SF and I was able to get one of the funko pop signed by him. Best moment ever.
Of all of the ones mentioned, I only have King Homer and the three Ultras. I missed out on the original Godzilla ones, but when the Godzilla vs Kong film came out, that line was impossible to find and went for a fortune on-line. They've since restocked them, but I haven't had the funds to collect them. And the thing I hate about these things? of you just miss a character, most likely you'll have to pay through the nose for them. I like the ones based on something like this or cartoon series or Muppets or something where the standard loaf of bread shaped head takes a back seat to actually getting down a character design, even if in chibi form. The Solar Opposites ones just straight up look like regular vinyl toys, not even blacking out the eyes.

Funko pops ain't really my thing... But damn I'm definitely gonna grab some of those legendary Godzillas the pop proportions and the details really work and make him look like a more realistic Godzilla land or Goji-kun kinda thing and I'm kinda into it.
I really wish Funko would make more Godzilla Funko Pops based on the Toho movies (Both on the different monsters and different incarnations of Godzilla) and not just the MonsterVerse movies, a majority of which are just lousy repaints over and over. :/

I work in a hobby shop and through that I was able to get the regular size Godzilla, Mechagodzilla and Kong, but I got the 10 inch Godzilla as a Valentine's Day present from my wife...one I ended up getting 6 months after the day since GameStop's distribution is pretty fucked. 😂😂

There's also a Reptar Pop from Rugrats that would fit quite nicley alongside Homer-zilla. The only Goji pops I have are the Godzilla and Kong pocket pops. But they are attached to my door keys along with a super deformed Ultraman Nexus from Japan. I do have an Ultraman Ace pop on my wall. Not a huge fan of how they did the eyes. The black pupils are an unnecessary detail. It would have been more accurate, and looked better, if they had just coloured the eyes completely gold. It looks like Urkel in cosplay. But it was on sale for £5.
Since Funko Pops are essentially vinyl figures, their format work much better for Godzilla (imo). Some decent looking figures in the line. The rest can burn in eternal hell fire.
Not a Pop collector myself (I half-joke they're an insidious plot to be put in the background shelves of every YT channel in existence as some sort of mind-control scheme), but I do have a couple - one of an Ultraman kaiju as well as Rugrats' Reptar, which is probably about as close to a Godzilla Pop as I'll ever own. (On that note, have you done anything on Reptar? Might be something worthy of a future video). Even without a fondness for these things, still a very enjoyable video and thank you for sharing it with us.

I've got the glow in the dark 239 Godzilla, he proudly guards my kaiju comics along with the Mechagodzilla from GvK Pop. I had a keychain with Goji from Funko but I lost him a while back, sadly. I'm not huge on Funko like I was a while back. I do feel they do monsters/robot designs really well and make some cool stuff every now and then. They're Ultraman Pops are a smidge cursed, tho.

Are you sure you got them all? I have seen giant variants of the original Godzilla POP in both standard variant AND Burning variant at my local GAME and HMV stores back after the 2014 movie.

I don't have any Godzilla Funko Pops, but I do have a pop figure for Doctor Peter Venkman from Ghostbusters that I got from a convention last year, as well as a diamond variant of a Eevee Pop figure that my friend got for me from another convention. He even got it autographed for me by Eevee's voice actress. I also have another figure for the Kingdom Hearts version of Goofy as he appears in Halloweentown, which I got from the same friend who got me the Eevee Pop. The goofy figure isn't really a Pop figure, but it's something similar.

Yes and no. Obviously art vinyl toys are far better than anything funko has done (Im a big Urban Aztec collector myself) but at the same time Im glad Funko exists as an easy and cheap collectable option.

Yes and no. Obviously art vinyl toys are far better than anything funko has done (Im a big Urban Aztec collector myself) but at the same time Im glad Funko exists as an easy and cheap collectable option.

My first Funko Pop was the green Godzilla and my second was Kong Skull Island.
Not really into funko pops but I would definitely take that king homer from the simpsons and yes i do agree that i wish they would have made a bartzilla instead i remember wanting to get a figure of that at burger king when they did a treehouse of horror promotion also probably that '19 burning godzilla although my only nitpick is labeling it under gvk Instead of king of the monsters.
I saw so many of the gvk funko pops in Newbarycomics and I didn't really think of getting any of em unfortunately.
To everyone I would say that the purple back Godzilla I think is supposed to be a reference to Godzilla 2000 where that Godzilla had purple dorsal spines on his back what do you think
