Thank you BunduBallerina! You are doing the best job in promoting young dancers of big Russian ballet theaters! I feel that you are not only showing us your favourite dancers but also young dancers that are rising stars based on their debuts and promotions. This is what I like most about your videos, you are a genuine fan, with huge respect for all dancers, and with a channel open to all kind of criticism even if it is against your favourite dancers. There might be some other forums/youtube channels that can occasionally offer more interesting discussions/exchange of opinions but there are usually way too many unkind comments from fans of specific dancers who make the experience really unpleasant at times. Your kind approach inspires most commenters to follow your way even during conflicts and disagreements. I too feel inspired. Your channel is an oasis in the ballet world. ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for your kind words. Much appreciated!
So well said. I fully agree. This is a truly respectful & appreciative site.

She is A M A Z I N G . Since the first day I watched her on a ballet class here on TH-cam, I thought "OMG this girl is going to be a star".
She’s lovely. Even at such a young age she’s showing the character of the ballet 🩰 and the emotion of movement. So many graduate doing beautiful technique but haven’t mastered the inner beauty of dance. I’ll look forward to watching her progress. Remarkable career ahead of her I’m sure. Beautifully executed Eva 👏👏👏👏🩰🩰🩰🩰👵👵👵👵🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Very well said. Thanks for your wonderful comments.
Without exception, artistry always improves with years of experience, even with the best dancers.

Can you imagine this? Even BEFORE she graduated she was already dancing solo parts with the Bolshoi Ballet. And now she barely started working with the Bolshoi Company and was already cast to dance Odette/Odile, I mean, she is a GENIUS! I've never seen anything like that, the dancers took a way longer time to be given this opportunity, and she nailed it as soon as she joined the company! I am thrilled to be witnessing her success. While she was still at the academy I wrote her a message telling ber: Girl, you are gonna be Prima Ballerina of Bolshoi Theatre, and she was very kind to me. I was dying to watch her graduation performance, THANKS for posting this gem!! Do you know where we can watch the hole graduation performance? Because I am also very fond of Arina Denisova and Lizaveta Elizaveta Chertikhina!!!
Thanks for your wonderful comments! I would also love to see the whole graduation performance. I have not come across it, but there are excerpts on @Mari'Mirabella's channel. You can access the link in the description to find her channel easily.
Love your great comments!! 💖
She's a brave young woman with huge potential. I hope she is strong enough to pace herself at what is the start of her professional career, and resist being pushed into too much too soon.
She is truly exceptional and should reach a
level of dance really wonderful. She will be
in a class of her own like the one and only
Svetlana Zakharova.
She is absolutely beautiful technically and emotionally! She is a Star already!
Yes, indeed. Thank you!
Impressive already a lot of maturity especially the Paquita but so polished technically in all these roles, the feet and footwork gorgeous and the epaulement and upper body pull up very strong and elegant. All the best to Eva and Brava!
Yes, her epaulement is so elegant. 💖
Couldn't agree more! Thanks.
Watching Eva Sergeenkova's Odette and Odile makes me realize what an exceptional talent Svetlana Zakharova is.
Thank you for not comparing Eva to Plisetskaya. See Renata Shakirova in "Swan Lake" (Mariinsky).
Wow, I just can't find enough words to express how magical is to watch her, what a beauty. Her arms! as Odette/Odile in Swam Lake... its breathtaking. Bravo, bravísimo beautiful Eva! 💐❤🩰
I agree! 😊💖
one of the few young dancers i’ve seen to dance with maturity/mind and not just the body, she’s incredibly professional at such a young age it leaves me in awe. i wish the best for her! very excited to see more of this magnificent sight
I totally agree! Thank you.
Eva is absolutely breathtaking with such elegance and beauty. She embraces each role with a strong technique as well as nuance. My compliments to her and the other dances especially Artem who is a wonderful partner. Thank you for this compilation!! ❤❤❤❤
Absolutely! Thank you!
Artemy Belyakov, one of the best male dancers at the Bolshoi, in my view.
@@normamimosa5991 I definitely agree!!❤
I was gobsmacked when I saw her swan lake debut, Truly amazing
Yes, indeed. Thanks for your comment.
I agree!! A debut? She looked so graceful and confident. Beautiful upper body and footwork. ❤❤
@@cynthiafletcher9845 Yes, an incredibly mature Swan Lake debut for someone who has only been out of the academy for a few months!
Somehow she reminded me of Uliana.
Same lyrical abilities, same gentleness and elegance. She's a real deal, and so so young. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your comment.
Thank you for finding new comers. It was very interesting to see her dancing Swan Lake. She is still too focused on perfect extensions and this does not let her focus on interpretation. Such extensions are not surprising any more. We have seen them since Nadezhda Pavlova became a sensation with her technique in 1973. For last 20 years a lot of prima ballerinas and first soloists demonstrate great technique, but interpretation comes second. Lopatkina has been the most inspiring in Swan Lake this century. I wish Sergeenkova to become an outstanding ballerina in the future.
I agree with you about the focus on extensions but it is not her fault. Vaziev wants to create the next Zakharova and, in fact, he was responsible for the fast promotion of Zakharova and Somova in the first place. Many ballet fans are tired of high extensions that distort the classical ballet lines and often make ballerinas have turned in legs and/or weirdly bent torsos. In my opinion, after Zakharova, Vishneva, and Osipova there have not been such ballet prodigies in Russia that justified insanely quick promotions and debuts in important classical roles (with the exception perhaps of Khoreva due to her all-around technique perfection). Or if there had been such prodigies they did not receive the chances they should have. Sergeenkova, even though I am not fascinated by her or don't care for her as much as I do for other young dancers, is undeniably a ballet prodigy for me with amazing technique and stage presence at her age.
Whilst admiring her lines I also lament the loss of the older “style” a side slit of 180 degrees doesn’t always produce the the loveliest silhouette.I also thought that whilst her work is so clean and in many ways flawless that she totally failed to convince me she was a 16 princess newly introduced to court life. There wasn’t any of the sheer joy of life and of being young and beautiful that other ballerinas (Nunez, Rojo, Ect ) bring to the role.
It will be interesting to watch her future develpement
@@carolyates3485Ah, Fonteyn!
I'd forgotten! When N.Pavlova danced here in Sydney in the early '70's, her extensions caused a sensation.
@@casteretpollux I was fortunate to see Fonteyn dance a Romeo and Juliet excerpt at the Met in New York and also watched Struchkova, partnered by Baryshnikov no less, the night he defected, in fact. And also Lopatkina and Zelenski performed in Canada. Plisetskaya I saw maybe ten times in New York and elsewhere. That Dying Swan and her Swan Lake are forever etched in my mind. Nureyev I saw dance maybe 80 times or more. I even got to know him a bit. He liked me. Even when he wasn't at his best, he was still a marvel. I also knew several of his ballerinas.
Bendiciones!!! 🙏💖
She will be a true star.
Ballet is lucky with young performers of her talent emerging.
Congratulations Eva.
How come I only saw this today?!! This is magnificent. Extraordinary. Thank you for putting this together. I love that her face is so alive!
Wow, thank you! 🤩
Bright white swan! Beautiful expressions, both arms and hands. From all excertes showed swan lake was the best, full of emotion and good technique .
Thank you very much for the video, she is fabulous, extraordinary. 👍🌹🌹🌹
Thank you too
Bravo, incredible young dancer. May she have a long and beautiful career.
The gentleness of the arm movement is so personal to her, no gesture bigger than it needs to be, Amazing. Thank you for this gem.
Thank you, too for your lovely comment. I agree! :)
Dear BB Thankyou for these lovely excerpts. So much poise and presence in really stunning debuts.
My pleasure 😊 Thanks for your wonderful comments.
Quelle merveille. Quelle beauté. Eva est déjà
unique comme Kovalena et une grande
carrière s'ouvre pour toutes les deux.

Brilliant comment, how wonderful!
She is beautiful! Mature and sophisticated beyond her years!
This ballerina is definitely talented, BunduBallerina. Her full temperament has yet to emerge at such an early age. I certainly wish her well and lets hope she fills the ballet slippers of Struchkova. Plisetskaya. Makarova, Zakarova and, last but definitely not least, Lopatkina!
Wow, stunning technique and artistry!!! I think is she perfect for Odette/Odile with her soft arms and lines. She reminds me a little of Zakharova, looking forward to her progression at Bolsohi!!!!
Yes, I think she will take Zakharova's place one day.
As always, thank you Bundu Ballertina for this compilation. Watching Sergeenkova mature will be fun.
It strikes me how well the Russians promote their talent. Even the student productions are exceptional.
I wish we in the USA did it as well. We too have a large pool of talented dancers worth watching and promoting. I hope we can get our promotions up to the Russian level.
You're so welcome. I hope so too for the US talent.
The training and discipline is not here in the US, unfortunately.
Eva is the best dancer I have ever met in these last 5 years.
She is wonderful.
All the best for her
Stunning girl. What a talent!
Breadth-taking charisma!!!! So beautiful. So original, she draws you into her world.
Very well said Thank you!
Que encanto 🌹🥀

Amazing, no words to describe this beauty. Thanks
Also, a wonderful first violin.
She definitely has things to work on -arms, transitions, etc., but she will turn into a lovely dancer! She has already made such big strides since graduation!
Another star !
Such elegance and amazing beautiful extensions. 👍🌟👏✨
Thank you so much!
SHE IS INCREDIBLE! 🙏🏽🔥💯
Sad to see Olga gone, but a young ballet star rises on the Bolshoi stage.
Wow, I just saw that Sergeenkova was promoted to first soloist (that is two ranks below principal in Bolshoi), directly out of corps de ballet (skipping one rank), halfway through her first season in Bolshoi and half a year after her graduation.
Wow! That's amazing. They clearly see that she can handle full length ballets like Swan Lake and execute them at the highest professional level. Zakharova also skipped several ranks right from the start. Thank you for sharing this information.
What is the rank between 1. soloist and principal, please?
@@susannevollmer2347 In Bolshoi, it is called "leading soloists".
@@TheBunduBallerina Also Smirnova: up like a rocket!
@@susannevollmer2347 Yes, as Kelly already explained, at the Bolshoi there is one level between 1st Soloist & Principal called Leading Soloist. (At the Mariinsky, 1st Soloist is the rank just below Principal)
Bravo!
Highly competent. Whether she is another Samova or Zakarova....time and work will tell.
Or another Alyona Kovalyova.
@@normamimosa5991 Surely.
Such expressive arms....so beautiful.
Stunning.
A fine, beautiful ballerina with a style reminiscent of that of Semenyaka.
Stunningly beautiful.
Incredible.
Masterly !
Her swan lake….wow 😳
Agree with those who have compared her beautiful lyricism to Lopatkina ... she is still so young and I am sure she will be a huge star in the years to come. The only one of all the upcoming dancers both at BT and Mariinsky that I feel has true potential to become something special ...
Have you seen videos of just graduated (from Vaganova) Maria Koshkaryova? She won the Moscow International Ballet Competition last year, and has been doing soloist roles with Mariinsky whilst still a student. She is truly remarkable, her technique and musicality are exquisite. I like her better than Eva.I think Bundu Ballerina has a video on her.
@@rebeccahowie623 ... yes, she is incredibly gifted technically with great personality but still lacks some nuance and finesse for me. She's very young and I'm sure it will happen but it's just not there yet - for me
@@mrsarchy1 Yes, it will be interesting to see her develop in the coming years. She's a personal favourite for me (along with Maria Khoreva), so I'll be following her closely. Which dancers, Bolshoi or Mariinsky (or anywhere else for that matter) do you particularly like?
@@rebeccahowie623 Isn't it funny how we all see things differently - not a fan of Khoreva at all ... think she believes her own hype too much ... for sheer joy of dance, I love Renata Shakirova ... much prefer the style and classic techniques of the Mariinsky ...I'm a huge fan of personality so Obraztsova and Sevenard also make me happy. Like Khoreva, I think Osipova is also too full-on for my taste ... all of them excellent but just my tuppenceworth !
A beaitiful Dancer!
Best regards for a bright future.
she has room for improvement, which is totally fine at this age, but her talent is pure. I look forward to seeing how her career will develop
Thanks
Welcome :)
I do find that Bolshoi Ballet Academy students are not as strong as Vagonava Ballet Academy students, which I think is evident here (if you observe the tops of the classes). However, I do believe that she has much potential. I think the Bolshoi may be trying to make another Zakharova. Is it possible? I do not know. She has the look and dances with a high caliber of regency and elegance. Her technique is great and will only get better and better with time and storytelling comes with experience, for most.
Sad that Bolshoi (and, I suppose, Russia) lost Olga Smirnova-the loss of Osipova and Smirnova may be two of the most gut-wrenching in the last decade.
But a star is rising! Bravo!
some subtle syncopation against musical tempo ~ daring
Szkoła Rosyjska najlepsza na świecie.
her beauty is incomparable! She could show more her teeth when smiling though. Anyway, a bright rising star.
?
She is beautiful. Has a lyricism closer to a Vaganova graduate than a Bolshoi graduate, although you can still see she is Bolshoi trained versus Vaganova trained.
I love Nacho Duato's Sleeping Beauty for many reasons, one being that he got rid of the difficult Rose Adagio. Some dancers manage it better than others. But the stress and or strain of that difficult piece always shows.
She is magnificent and a rising star, but I too can see the difference. Somehow Vaganova graduates bring added artistry to a piece with their arm movements that you can't find anywhere else.
Spasiba.
Wow! Anyone knows how tall she is? Her height reminds me of Alena
Her height is about 170 sm, Alyona is 177 sm.
The white swan was beautifully done. But the black swan part was a bit struggling.
Very impressive! Especially the finale of the black swan solo. For a really towering ballerina I still miss articulation and statement, meaning, a pirouette is really a pirouette and ends first before falling into the next step. While her extensions and also body proportions are really breathtaking, I miss articulation for instance in the ecartées in the white swan solo. Think of Sylvie Guillem for an instance and how she was able to celebrate that short moment on pointe with maximum extension...lastly the Rose Adagio in Sleeping Beauty: If you don't raise your arm to a couronne in balance, the change from prince to prince doesn't really count. To sum it up: Very promising but has to work on her core to have more control over her balance - and that in order to have better control over her articulation. And articulation is what really makes an artist.
So beautiful, such wonderful arms, but disturbingly over-extended, throwing the line completely off.
I totally agree... these hyperextensions get a bit boring after awhile. They often break the clean lines.
Gorgeous Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake. One of the best Sleeping Beauty’s I’ve seen. Choreography for Paquita is a bit boring. Not much you can do about that. Would love to see Ratmansky work on it. I wish Aurora’s Adagio choreography was as tough as those in the western companies: Royal Ballet, American Ballet Theatre. Would love to see those drawn out balances.
Is Denis related to Sveta?
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🕊🌹
Much as I am predisposed to admire this young ballerina, I am a little disturbed by what seems to be a lack of coordination. While she does indeed accomplish difficult steps and poses, the body parts do not always move together in a harmonious fashion.
I agree, she is hiding her weaknesses with her strengths. That's ok, as long as she develops those weaknesses.
Baletowa szkoła Rosyjska.
I think there was a spot of oil or water on the floor at 1:53
Anyone else think her shoes fit weird? Anyways she’s gorgeous nonetheless
Yes, I found myself watching her feet a lot. I was trying to decide whether her feet were not very arched, the shoes too small, or the wrong shape to allow her to get right over onto pointe and improve her balance and centerdness in turns. There is something not quite right. Call Josephine Lee at the Pointe Shop...
Makaroner was fenomen in La belle ou bois dormant. This little miss nedsatt more legat, if you understundom.
Out of the many private reasons why Olga left Bolshoi, Eva must be one of the reasons.
You can't be serious? I doubt someone of Olga's calibre would be intimidated by Eva.
Olga left in protest of the war in Ukraine (silly move, in my opinion, as if I left a country for every dumb decision they made, I’d have hopped all 187 countries 9000x around). And no, just no.
Beautiful feet and legs, like Maria Khoreva or Sylvie Guillem, almost an S shape, very impressive. She is so young and she has to find her style and artistic personality, away from the school ....
I would like to say that the staging and the costumes of the 4 princes, Mousquetaires like, are a bit ridiculous, specially the men at the back of the stage with the flower hoops, very kitsch, I am sure that the Bolshoi can do much better ....The Swan Lake is perfect
Thank you. Many versions of Sleeping Beauty actually have the men holding flower hoops and making patterns with them in the Waltz of the Friends.
