- Mighty Ducks D3 | Welcome back to the 90s everyone. One of Disney's most popular of original movies in its third sequel, the Ducks get scholarships to Eden Hall Academy, a high ranking prep school. But as freshmen, they will have to face the snob varsity team. In this scene, Lester Averman (played by Matt Doherty) infamously has a great quote: "To Win/Work Coach Orion, Sir" that brought out a huge laugh to many watching. Enjoy the video everybody.

The older we all get the more we’re on Coach Orion’s side.
Definitely he made me realize Defense is the most critical thing in any sport.
I was terrible at Physcology when I was younger, but I can realize he was making the team work hard to earn their Duck Jersey's

Not really, he killed the free spirited free flow ease that the Ducks played offense. All he really did is kill off Goldberg since the team was two sided now.

You know it's a Disney movie when Charlie's Ducks jersey from the first movie magically grew with him as he did into adolescence!!!!!!!!
Actually it's massive on him in the second movie way too big. So he just grew into it as he was way bigger in the third
or when he magically becomes the 2nd best player on the team even though had always been among the worst...but i guess that is what ended up happening when he absorbed Jessie Hall and he even got his angst too.
Allistar123 Joshua Jackson said in an interview that he had little interest in doing the third Ducks movie. He channeled his frustration into his performance which is why Charlie here is more rebellious.
Speaking of Jesse Hall, the kid who played him in the first two movies (Brandon Adams) decided not to come back for the third film because he and Kenan Thompson didn’t get along with one another in the second film. AT ALL. They didn’t get along while acting in the scenes of the movie, nor did they get along while filming the movie.

@@MovieLover1995 he wasn't really being one as Bombay said he was hoping how his successor and Charlie would learn something from each other he knew how tough he had 2 be on him every level u go up in any sport discipline and heart are two essential weapons

Orion hated Averman just about as much Bombay did when they both 1st start. Averman was comedy as fuck in the 1st and 3rd. 2nd one he was more serious it seemed like. You know, I knew we forgot something. Lol

makes sense, although Averman wears a San Jose Sharks shirt in the first film despite his character hailing from Minnesota in the trilogy

Only in a disney movie you put Julie Gaffney as reserve and Goldberg as main goalie! Like who fucking does that???
I'm not saying that was a smart move, but Bombay knew Goldberg first. Also, Gaffney went to the former's office to talk to him about it. He told her that the latter was on a role, so he didn't want to change things. Orion, on the other hand, was an outsider, so he tried both goalies to determine a starter. Also, at this point he hadn't coached them in a game yet. So, he was going with trial and error. Yes, I agree that Julie is superior to Greg, but for what I've told you that explains why. Are you clear on all of that?

Saw the movie a year ago so don't remember whether he put Charlie on defence but if he didn't then thank god for him. You were playing serious hockey in d2 so act like it

How come Bombay never taught them defensive hockey?
Probably because he was always a hotshot. Usually they are singular players and not very much into teamwork. Bombay even said that he always took control when he played. Not saying that he didn't know how to play as part of a team but it does make sense when you think of it that way.
Bombay was purely an offensive minded talent when he played the game... Probably preached all offence to the Ducks. Orion made them more of a complete team with his defensive brand of hockey.

Bombay was strung out at the Junior Goodwill Games and forgot to teach the Ducks defense.
Sad that the rink this was filmed in is now in ruins.

Escobar Salvador Columbia arena in falcon heights Minnesota. It has been torn down. There is no Eden Hall school. It was a fake Minnesota school

I'd love to know what Orion's scoring record and penalty minutes were like in the NHL.
In the movie I think Bombay said Orion was heading to the NHL but gave it up for what happened to his daughter after they got hit by another driver and it paralyzed his daughter. He put his Child ahead of his professional career.
