For the pork (2kg)
-2 smalls apples or one large apple
-1 onion
-5 cloves of garlic
-20g fresh ginger
-100ml soy sauce (dark)
-5Tbsp brown sugar
-1 plum syrup (or plain)
-2Tbsp cooking sweet rice wine
-2Tbsp sesame oil
-1/2tsp black pepper
-500ml water
Watermelon spicy sauce(for 4)
-400g watermelon
-4Tbsp gochugaru
-3Tbsp gochujang
-4Tbsp vinegar
-4Tbsp syrup
-2Tbsp sesame oil
-3tbsp soy sauce
-1Tbsp minced garlic
-3Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
For Tteokggochi (5 skewers)
-3Tbsp soy sauce
-2tsp minced garlic
-5Tsbp of ketchup
-1Tbsp gochujang
-2Tbsp syrup

Gabie is like the typical asian mom who eats last because she's busy serving all the food, making sure the dinner table looks inviting; and when finally she gets to sit down and eat, she still won't be able to concentrate eating because she has to stack up food on everyone's plate. I needed this today. My younger brother passed away eight years ago today and so much of our time together was spent seeking out great food and cooking.
