Great webinar. You should do this every month DoS releases the visa bulletin.

We are doing these monthly. One on EB-5 which is a narrower focus and the other on EB-categories. People want to know about family numbers, but what is there to say? Its is tragic as those numbers do not move. The solution lies on in congress. The webinar last month looked at annual number usage as the visa bulletin was delayed but this next one should be very interesting.

Can Charlie give us update on the DOS stance on cspa? Will DOS change their interpretation of CSPA?

Hi Charlie, i think we can explain the sudden demand in EB2.
If you see I140 data for EB2, the number of petitions under EB2-NIW increased tremendously because researchers and professors who usually filed under EB1 category are now filing EB2-NIW to catch an earlier priority data.
Before 2017, EB1 category usually remained current for almost whole year but not anymore. Therefore, lawyers are recommending EB1 aspirants to file NIW asap and then keep working on EB1 petitions which take more time and efforts to compile. Let's see in 2nd half of FY23, things should be more clear

I refuse to accept these cases and advise at least 15+ years. There are allegedly about 2 million people in this line. Tragic.

@@bernardwolfsdorf2991 I'd like to add another vote for F2B and other family based categories. There is a serious dearth of information on what is happening on that front.

Family-based s terrible, especially not moving so early in the year. There are only 223,000 family-based visas annually, so I often recommend employment if that option is open. They a little better, but sadly not for persons born in Indias. Its not right that all countries get the same allocation, regardless of size. One of the political parties however will never move on this issue.
