    Just installed the lindor faucet and used the snappy trap to replace the old one. Video was a huge help. I actuallly had trouble with very low pressure to the hot side. So I replaced the inlet valve and still had trouble. I then took out the hot valve from another lindor box that was to be installed in the other bathroom sink. Ended up being the brand new hose from Home Depot. really kicked my butt. thanks for the video.

    • @YouCanDoIt2
      @YouCanDoIt2  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Thank you for watching. I find that if there is a very small leak, it might be that the gasket hasn't been tightened enough. Usually, a slight additional 1/4 turn will do the trick. If that doesn't fix the leak, you may want to back off the gasket and start over...might be a slight cross-threading issue. Hope that helps 👍

    Thx for the video.
    One of the hardest parts is tightening the the 32mm nut on each of the cold and hot. There is not a lot of room to get a wrench on things. Would be great if the video explained how that was accomplished.

    • @JustinMentionedIt
      @JustinMentionedIt ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It comes with a plastic piece which is it’s “own” wrench, mine was gray plastic wrench about 12” long or so, one side is for the bottom of the faucet nut and the other is for the bottom of the faucet itself, in the directions it shows you you can put a screw driver in it to turn it to act like a T handle

      @@JustinMentionedIt Mine came with a tool, but it was only for the 9/16" (maybe 5/8") nut. There was not one 32mm nut (1.25") nut.

  • @PepeSifuentes

    For me the popup drain keep leaking . The rubber gasket in the botton doesn’t seal completely, it seems to big for the sink hole. What do you recommend?

    • @YouCanDoIt2
      @YouCanDoIt2  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. That's a bummer on the leak. There's a fair amount of washers/gaskets that can be interchanged for adjusting to different sink openings. What I find when there's a slow leak is that I just need to give the nut another turn and it usually stops the leak. I had someone else with the same problem contact me through this video and I recommended the same thing. He responded back later that he gave it another quarter turn and the leak stopped. Be careful to not overturn the nut, you don't want to crack your sink. I hope this information helps 👍.

    • @georgeb1364
      @georgeb1364 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The round metal washers under the handles has an up side. The bottom side of those washers has a groove that sealant is applied to in place of a gasket. I would rather have a gasket but oh well.

    The nuts holding the valves are not easily tightened on this design. Assume you used a basin wrench or crows foot?

    • @YouCanDoIt2
      @YouCanDoIt2  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes and no. I have a good grip and have no problem hand tightening them. These are all plastic and could get damaged easily if you use channel locks or similar wrenching devices. The snappy trap has very good seals for the purpose of being able to install the entire system by hand. If your grip is not strong enough to hand tighten these, then possibly a final twist with channel locks or wrenches is required. However, the system is not designed for the requirement of such tools. That is what makes it universal for most users.

      @@YouCanDoIt2 Plastic? The shank stem is metal. Nut is metal. Plate above is metal and so is the clip. Hand tight will not hold. This was definitely a stupid design.

    • @YouCanDoIt2
      @YouCanDoIt2  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Anton, sorry to hear that. Have you used a wrench to tighten it a few more twists? If you are using the exact same faucet, you should have rubber seals /rings that sit above and below the drain so that as you tighten the washer and nut up to the bottom of the sink the rubber seals / rings should prevent water leakage. I hope this information helps.

I'm hoping I can figure out a way to get the tube back into the spigot... everything appeared to be working right then it started leaking, I was checking the push connections and the spigot tube just slid out, no pressure/pulling... aggravating!!!
