    In South Africa about 12 to 15 years ago there was a Student in one of our universities that was demonstrating how his invention worked on our main TV news channel. This device he said powered two light bulbs,a two plate stove and a small fridge. I was really amazed by what I saw and I am sure many South African did as well. This device actually used magnets to generate free energy. I kept on thinking about that device and thought that was going to be massed produced for people to use . Days,weeks,months and years went by and I never heard a thing about that invention. I think big business paid that gentlemen some money and threw his invention away. I tried asking someone at that university via email if he knew whatever became of that invention, and he says via email that he has not heard anything about it. He also stated that if there was a machine like that it would have been a groundbreaking invention.I sent him another email telling him that I saw it on our national news and so did many people. How can something like that just disappear from the face of the earth. If big business got hold of that invention then big business is the ones to blame for killing our planet. I wish someone can help me out there to see what happened to that invention. I can't express how angry I get at times, thinking of what an impact that device would have had on the world we live in. To all the people who try so hard and earnestly to invent something to better the planet I say keep up the good work. If someone out there knows anything about that device let me know. My email add. is. kuban1962@gmail.com

    why couldn't you use a hanging spring, that would wobble the same way your hand does at every consecutive passing of magnets,
    its a simple trick.

    Only asking because you seem to have a few fans and time and know how. Would you consider trying it with two magnets per blade mounting them not on the sloped surface but perpendicular to the axis of rotation (perhaps slits in the blade with glue?). And all oriented the same either N in or out but all the same. Its basically creating a cascading flux field then without moving your secondary magnet you should get a bit of rotation. Just a thought as I have made the crappy version with a piece of cardboard shipping tube and a rubber band holding them to it while a bb in a small ring magnet spins like a top if u set the tube above it-I propped the tube with 4 Lincoln Logs as it was what I had laying around. Never had a fan to spare though so I would really be interested in what it did if you ever have time and inclination to try it. Sorry for the ramble.

    desertsun02 What if... you had two fans, both with magnets on the blades, and placed them facing each other, so that the blades of each fan spin in opposing directions? You'd probably have to give it a spin to get it started but after that, would it keep going? I kind of want to try it, but I don't have enough magnets!

      carriellbee hi there. nope that wouldn't work. no configuration of magnets will work unless at least one of them is being powered by a separate power source (meaning that it's moving) ...and in the case of my video, the one magnet that's moving is human powered. there are a lot of cool looking configurations on how to do it (saw a video of a large rotating drum covered in magnets that looked really cool) ...but none of them work. that's why i made this video the way that i did. (to show how easy it is to make these things *look real). again, these devices can be made to spin (as shown in the video) but not under their own power alone.

    Here's a thought-- What if you placed a toroidal coil under your fan so the blade magnets' fields cut the windings. Then wire the toroid to a second, standard wrapped coil (possibly finer wire/more turns) so that one pole end's field affects the fan blade magnets. Incorporate a diode & capacitor clamping circuit to keep the energy moving in one direction through the standard coil. Fan blades turning will generate an EM field in the toroid, which will charge the cap and discharge through the diode as DC pulses, creating a pulsed DC field in the standard coil, thereby driving the fan blades. Throw your big magnet away, you shouldn't need it.

    What if you attached piston rods on the end of each fan blade and connect those to a housing that allowed the motion of the spinning blades to move the piston which would then move the propelling magnet attached to the pistons via a housing with a set of gears that allowed the rod with the magnet propelling the bladeto move back and forth in the right sequence to propell all magnets as it move up and down / back and forth symetrically .

    +desertsun02 The one i have seen is very different from this... on the blades should not be magnets but metal washers... on 3 corners of the fan should be hard drive magnets glued, on the 4th corner should be half of a hard drive magnet. 1st, install washer in exact same spot on fan blades, then install the 3 corner magnets, then move the half magnet towards the washers and watch that baby spin as fast as it can... it's impressive. I'm just not sure if it's true or not. The youtube video i had seen was suddenly taken down without explanation by TH-cam, not by the owner... but someone i know captured it and placed it on facebook. I just wish i could know if this is true... i am attempting to get the proper materials to reproduce the experiment myself.

    Make a huge fan, big magnets, automatic magnet spinner to get the blade running then put it in an air tight tunnel and have wind turbines in the tunnel, once you have a certain amount of energy it can/will generate more energy through the wind tunnel than it uses to just power the magnet spinner. Free energy.. and a simple form at that.

    So, what if you connected the magnet to some sort of a solenoid that would move it closer and farther in a timed way? Wouldn't that create a proper osculation? The magnet does indeed move the fan, the next trick is to get something to move the magnet automatically. Maybe it would even re-charge whatever AA battery is used to operate the solenoid. It probably wouldn't produce much power but the principle of "free energy" might sort of be there but in a faux capacity. It might just run for a really freaking long time.

    • @jhanthony2
      @jhanthony2 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Harbinger, bunches of people have shared your idea. Including myself at one time. Without the driver magnet being moved back and forth you correctly observed that this won't work. I assume you're thinking that as the device turns, some levers and cams could be arranged to pump the driver magnet. But the energy required to pump the magnet would be more than what can be obtained from the spinning wheel. It is one of the most fundamental laws of the universe.

    To move a fan (or a pump rotor) using a magnet is used in some models of a fully submerged water pump. I still don't understand why ppl are even trying to get "free energy" when there is plenty of energy which you can take, figure that out insted of something impossible.

      Bain McCartney I guarantee you it won'T work.
      Glueing 2 magnets together on a string and then hanging them from that string will net set them in motion.
      Aside from the fact that a perpetuum mobile is scientifically impossible (Energy can neither be created nor destroyed), the force of both magnets working in opposite direction cancels each other out, resulting in no movement at all.

      I don'T exactly know hat you mean with your description. but i can tell you this:
      It will not work. There is no energy coming from anything. Magnets do not store energy, magnetism is not a form of energy but a force.
      It doesn't work by definition. And even if it would, and magnets could store energy, you would need to create the magnets in the first place, using more energy than you get out of them later.

I saw ancient aliens one day where he had found a magnetic round stone with angled spirals on top of it. When he tried to test to see if the stone was magnetic it started to spin, like a top, when he put the magnet above it on one side.There is something to th angel of the magnets and the way the are shielded in part.And as you say there is a way if the top magnet is times like to a cam, a set up I saw in another video, the magnet mounted upon a bar that raised and lowered when a semicircular bracket fixed to the shaft acted as a cam to strike the bar raising it in a timely manner, and it worked.on a small scale.

    What we're talking about here is 'perpetual motion' and the idea is impossible due to friction. A perpetual motion machine is impossible because it would break the first two laws of Thermodynamics. No matter how many videos you watch on this they are all hoaxes like shown in this video with a magnet hidden under a table or such like.! :)

    • @donaldbutler9702
      @donaldbutler9702 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      "Perpetual motion" means that there is no loss of energy (i.e. the thing keeps itself moving without new energy being introduced to the system). Can you power a light bulb with magnets on a fan? Sure you can. But, as this video demonstrates, you can't make the fan spin into perpetuity without moving the magnet. The fact that it slows down if you hold the magnet into position is proof that the system loses energy.
      What's really funny is that the guy in the video explains how perpetual motion machines are not possible and yet you say it is a "hoax" demonstrating that you're either a troll or didn't watch the video (maybe both).

      if its impossible how can wind mills create energy from motion? its not impossible, we just have to figure it out.

    • @mrnat3058
      @mrnat3058 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Collin Williams They don't. Modern day wind mills suck. The old ones use wind to turn them generating electricity, but these new ones use more energy than the little they produce.

      We don't need a perpetual motion machine. We just need one that doesn't use polluting fuel. You'd just have to oil and replace the bearings once in awhile, and maybe get new magnets (some of which can last thousands of years).

      The question is, is this efficient enough to replace other forms of fuel?

    Fact: Using the word “machine” with perpetual motion, free energy, energy, etc., will give
    it a beginning and an end, making it finite. With this new and better understanding of perpetual devices, its meaning
    will need updating in defining it as finite. This way, these devices or machines will not violate the laws of
    thermodynamics, laws of nature, laws of physics, and make them patentable. ~Guadalupe Guerra

    I dont think you are doing it right. Ive seen others that move without the single magnet having to move as well. And they can light up leds. Try putging the magnets on the blades flip flopping the poles . For example one blade put magnet with north up, the next put south up, then the next north up, and so on until the blades all have one. Then adjust the placement of the magnet you are holding by moving it closer and further until you get the perfect point that the blades begin to move without oscillating the magnet in your hand at all. Then when its perfect you can mount it in that exact spot. I would think that the poles shifting back and forth would cause the magnet to pull one towards it and then the opposite pole would get into range and repel it causing the blades to spin indefinitely. I assume you could do this with much more powerful magnets rigged up to a car alternator that is hooked to some form of battery or elecyrical storage device and in theory create free electricity until the magnets lose magnetism or the alternator breaks or the battery dies for good.

    Great video! I'm curious if reversing the polarity on every other magnet on the fan itself then mounting a good size earth magnet on the fan frame would cause it to run constantly?
    Anyone have any thoughts?
    Again Great upload!

    Place an incredibly small wind turbine above the fan to generate electricity to a device that bobs the magnet back and forth, and use the electricity created from the turning itself as free energy. Viola!

    Yes you are correct in that you cannot get out more energy than what you put in. But hook a windmill with a shaft connected to the large magnet and use math to figure out how to rig in up correctly so that the magnets are always in the correct positions . I understand that they attract and repel from each other equally, so you could maybe use gravity to you're advantage with some sort of springing system to keep the magnets in the right spot.

    • @MrUtoobtroll
      @MrUtoobtroll 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Jenna Felton Still would not keep it going indefinitely, as the spring would nto keep springing. If you hold a slinky upside down does it keep coming back up?

  • @larriecole3222

    lol your only using the two large magnets and that will never work.......take the ones on the fans and make sure they alternate polarity so plus up plus down plus up plus down.........then arrange three large magnets with pos up around in a triangle. the driving force once started is the polarity differential....you may require a coil as well....normally there is another ring layed out opposite to the fan blades on the frame as well. The trick for the fan thing is to have a attraction point of steel on each fan blade as well as a magnet.......by my calculations it will lose 10 percent of its field strength over 100 years. some times the magnets have to be tubular in shape to get them to be closer to the steal attracting them......once the chase is established it will work pretty well forever.

    Magnets deteriorate over time, basic physics. So if the fan does work (even if it runs) i am going to place a resistor and a ammeter in low scale and run it until the "cows come home" and prove that magnets will deteriorate over time as the ammeter shows a reduction of current flow through the resistor,. I will then plot this and you will see this. This is the way to do proper science !!

  • @Kori-ko

    Someone had already done this before, except they taped HDD RE magnets to the corners to get the fan to spin by itself with no human interaction after an initial spin. This would work for a while, but isn't permanent as the magnets do lose their strength with use.

    @Jsimon407 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    BTW , if my thoughts are correct, I will try one more experiment with exactly the same setup except the resistance will change, so the time it will take the magnets to deteriorate should be directly proportional to the change of resistance (with a small acceptable error, we are not dealing with precision magnets here and equipment.) Now that proves that magnets apply the power to the generating fan and deteriorate as power is used in the form of electric flow so where the fk does all this free energy come from ? Gimme a fking break !!!!

    it isn't free energy because you moving your hand.
