Shit, I played Secret of Mana as an adult and it terrified me, in a good way. It's that good. I am sure it would have been more terrifying as a kid but eh, I am just glad that I experienced this game.
@@jean-baptistecousinat3716Confirmed to be the kechak monkey chant! You can hear it clearly in the remake's remade versions. The gnarly ruins music is also that cool balinese drum music. I forget the name off the top of my head.
Generally I like commentary when I'm watching someone play a game, but I was talking to a friend about the game play and music to this game so I'm glad I found this to show him, so thanks for that. I'm also impressed that you used the boy and sword rather than just spam spells.
As soon as I saw a spell being cast my mind was like, why isnt the cast lvl 8. Grinded everything so hard to 8.99, the "super" verions were really cool even though they interrupted you chain casting spells :D Edit also remembers grinding Mana Fortress to get every weapon to max lvl. Dont even know if thats a good memory or not.
People will never understand how much feelings this score made us feel as kids. Age still holds up

even today's game music still can't beat this one..!
especially the growling music before the boss theme
*Its literally just tracks being repeated over and over*
It is very close or maybe inspired by balinean music

Secret of Mana one of greatest games and had some of best music
That's some serious 16-bit snare there
I always wished the boss was harder to compliment the music. Still a dope game though. One of my favorites to this day honestly
The whole game could use a hard mode
I love this game! I wish I still had the original. The remake is fine, but just doesn't feel the same.
2:14 bro, this theme is very underrated
This and ceremony are easily some of the creepiest tracks on the snes
you know, after all these years, and have played this game many times. I never bothered to look at how many hit points the Dark Lich had (@3:27).
Huh… me neither
Hahahahahaha me either
Good ol‘ earth slide
Best game I've ever played. Diablo being a close tie for me in my 30 years of gaming
Have you played the sequel? I think it's a smoother experience, better menuing, higher Fidelity audio and visuals.
I was at a dance club at june and toward the ends, i heard the dj insert this type of musc into the backdrop while folks were drunks

Music epic
you can do it even if your characters are in their 40s...it's hust harder
DarkLordYianni lolll
I dunno why but the music reminds me of Indonesian Gamelan
In fact, it is using gamelan sample.
Yes it is, the sample was gamelan with a little Balinese Kecak
Hiroki Kikuta has several musical influences, especially Indonesian Gamelan
man ive never played this game cant wait for the ps4 remake next month

By now, your elementals should’ve been max lvl.
Jujutsushi Gachi ver brought me here
Flyingtuna brought me here
I would love it so much if this game had truly difficult boss battles (instead of just letting you cheese them with multi casts)
so dope
Can someone tell me the theme at 0:01...
Leave time for love
breh
Ewwwww!
