I feel like this season was the most depressing of them all, because not only did Jim lose Lee, he lost his unborn child, Ed lost Kristen, Oswald lost both of his parents, Victor Fries lost his wife, Selina lost Bridgit (who becomes Firefly), and Bruce lost someone he swore to never happen to her (Karen Jennings).

seasons 1-1st half of 3 were awesome, season 1 was a grounded, gritty, crime drama with excellent arcs and character development, season 2 was a lil wonkier, but in a good way, the stakes were raised and it was the empire strikes back to the new hope(S1), a classic dark and hopeless second arc, then the 3rd season started out great with Gordon as a hardened bounty hunter, jaded and losing faith in the system just working for a buck due to what he'd been through, along with Tech and Barnes being excellent, but the second half of season 3 and beyond is what killed the show, goofier with stale and repetitive storylines and not killing anyone off, probably because the show had a lower budget towards the end due to the ratings slipping, but that's not to say S4-5 did not have there moments, they did, but no arc from those seasons was better than the first 3 and a half.
