I used a Hohner Rocket in Low D for the video but I changed the plastic comb with a regular black plastic comb of a Hohner Special 20. I have no further experience with the other brands but I'm happy with my low D and my low Eb Rocket from Hohner.
Great play! I don't know how to play harmonica, can you tell me what are the numbers on the screen? Are they the positions on the harmonica? Do you use what kinds of harmonicas playing this music? And what's the low D and the key G?
A harmonica has ten holes and you can get a tone on everyone of them by in- or exhaling through it. So the numbers are the numbers of the specific hole (from 1 to 10) and when there is a minus (-) before it, it means inhaling through that hole. When there is no minus it means exhaling. Then there are different keys of harmonicas, the most common is a C-harmonica. With it you can all the notes of a C-major scale (C,D,E,F,G,A,B). But plenty songs are in different keys like mine here to: I use a low D harmonica for the most of the tune. It has the notes of a D-major scale (D, E, #F, G, A, B, #C) and it's the same as a regular D-harmonica, but one octave below it. And then there's a point in that tune, where I have to play a regular C-note, which isn't in the D-major scale on my low D-harmonica. Luckily I found out, that you can switch to a regular G-harmonica for that point, it has the notes: G, A, B, C, D ,E #F). In the end, you can't even play the whole tune without more tricks. There are some very low parts where I had to bend the notes, you can see it, when there's for example a -3" on the screen. That -3" means inhaling through hole number 3 but with a different mouth shape to get a bended note, which is used in blues a lot.

@@harmonicafun Thank you very much! You gave many details. Maybe I will buy two harmonicas to learn this classical music. It is my favorite.
