Nice video, and for the guy At 2:37 he said to the other guy « Tell it to your aunt 😂» which is a local expression to say « Mind your business ». And welcome to Morocco.
I am moroccan from Rabat an I actually get so angry when I see those dishonest people doing that especially with foreign tourists, they give such a bad image about the country even though not everyone is like that but I am glad you cleared that up in the end of the video...just so you know they also do that with us morroccan tourists...but every where you go there will be dishonest people but it's all about the overall experience...I enjoy your videos man keep it up
No worries, I love Morocco and have continued to promote and spread the news and beauty of Morocco, maybe I got a little carried away, thanks for your comment :)
I just want to say that even for us Moroccans we think Marrakech is an expensive city, especially when there are so many tourists, everything will be expensive. And I hope you will visit Asfi soon
It's only on the touristic places though, you have a lot of cheap places where people lives and you can expect normal prices, even cheaper than other places in Morocco so it depends.
Haha I said at the start of the Moroccan series that I hope you start to blow up. I know this is only the beginning but the series is doing so good so far! So crazy to see all the people interacting in the comments and of course nice that you are getting a pretty good amount of views! Keep it up mate 🤙🏼🤙🏼🎉
Even Moroccan tourists from other cities can face the same situations , those merchants give a bad reputation of Marrakech, I remember having arguments with some of those restaurants owners for the same reasons than what happened to you.
It was a wonderful experience in a country of simplicity, beauty and hospitality. You seemed very careful and sometimes afraid while you were walking on the street, remember the first lines and you'll feel better. Moroccan people love foreigners, and most of them can't speak English to express their love and joy of your visit to them.... Enjoy your time with your girlfriend
he said '' Mind your own business '' it wasn't towards you, it was directed to the other Moroccan guy that was asking him. amazing video as always, apologies from my end as a Moroccan for any inconveniences these merchants caused.
actually the 4dh guy was really so nice and that price is sooooo cheap as a moroccan i never expect it to be that cheap ❤❤❤ glad you guys enjoyed it there ❤❤❤ all love from moroccans
Hi guys, hope you are still enjoying Morocco. ✨ Moroccans are welcoming because warmth runs in our blood, with this being said ... It would be courteous if you lower the bar a bit on bargaining... We, as Moroccans, negociate as well, but only when we feel that a deal can be done fairly, not on the expense of a seller making a living ( Especially during such challenging times = Pandemic )... I understand that you want to stay faithful to the concept of the video by paying 4dhs for a pomegranate juice, but there is an ethical way to achieve such content ( Drew Binsky style)...
got to give it to you mate - when visiting Marrakech especially that's the attitude to have tbh. Many are put off which is understandable but when you're game and open to having the odd banter despite the language barrier just becomes a lot more enjoyable. If you want something a little less hassle free and slower paced defo recommend the North - Tangier, Tetouan, Asilah, Chefchaouen and there are a load of other gems that are less obvious from a tourist perspective beyond Marrakech, Rabat etc. The medinas naturally though will always be the most hassle-intense areas. Some decent coastal towns as well in the 'South' like Essaouira which can't go amiss just due to the seafood. And the folk of Marrakech tend to have a bit of a reputation for being a little 'tight'/stingy within Morocco anyway soo..
Ay thanks so much man, try and look at it in a positive way, after our few days there it can get a bit relentless but try and stay positive, yes we visited some less tourist parts and it was pretty much hassle-free.
