I like the way Australia is helping to address this issue. If anyone has been found guilty of child sexual abuse then they can no longer get a passport and are now unable to leave the Country. This law was enacted when it was realized that most convicted paedophiles were holidaying in S E Asia where they had access to child prostitutes.

The only difference is that now we see fit to throw a few shekels at them to go along with the honor of having their children pleasure our penises.

MuzzaHukka Don't suggest matchmaking. That only makes it worse. P!mps can take advantages of that and set up their own matchmaking services which they can use to disguise prost!tut!on. In Egypt, they produce fake marriage papers so to sell victim's sex to multiple men.
In matchmaking, many girls are discarded after sex in one day by their so-called husbands. Girls used that way are regarded damaged and unmarriageable, as most men want virgins.

Prostitution only exists because of the demand as no amount of poverty would give rise to prostitution if there wasn't a demand for it. Men, and in this case Western men, feel a sense of entitlement to young men and women, with no concern for their well-being. That colonial mentality of being superior is presented here in this situation.

Although I never saw any prostitution during my one month visit to Morocco, I CAN say that many people live in such poverty that I can see this being an issue. I fed many poor kids there who looked dirty, cold, and hungry. It broke my heart to see them roaming the streets. Kids like that are thought of as expendable street dogs where the rich can enact their disgusting fantasies and get off scott free because there are no laws against this crime against kids. Iif the parents find out they do NOT want everyone to know what happened or for others to judge them for it. In most/if not all Arab cultures, secrecy about bad things they do or have done to them is part of their religion and culture. Secrecy among people who live so closely to their neighbors is important.

Tourism did not create child prostitution here. The problem is that child prostitution was already accepted in this community. If child prostitution was not already accepted, no one would be offering children to tourists. The community/city/county needs too outlaw child prostitution in order to eradicate it. And, changing the law and possibly a cultural attitude is the really hard part. Focusing on tourists is easy and is a temporary fix, but the issue won't be addressed. Tourists will treat your country and your children the way you allow them to be treated.

So firsr hand experience. I didnt see much prostition and luckely wasnt approach by any pimp or boy. I told my appartment host about this doc he said it exist cyz of the large influx of tourism to marrakesh but not as much as people think. He told me that the people ib general are anit prostition gay and sextourism. People are aware of the negative side of sex tourism and they tip a lot if they see anything suspucious. It has become increasinly difficult for predotors to stay unsuspicious and manouevre trhough locals without being spotted by locals. Walking witg young kids like 13 14 is almost impossible it wil look like an abduction he said. He said that tge police knocked several times on his door cuz locals confused married couples with prostition. For me marrakesh was a islamuc cukture shock. I can see the islam working as a natural anti orostition mechanism in the sense it doesnt turn into a sex openair display as in asia or south america. Though i do see it happen cuz of many high unemploymentrates. But still it stays ckearly an islamic country where people in general dont appreciate tgat kinds of thing. When u check google on top ten sex tourist destination for prostition and child prostition morocco is not on that list. I can see way cuz of tge culture and i wasnt approached at all. Everything was so cheap, including my stay at this luxurious riad in the middle of historic Fez that used to be a palace for some historical grandees. It was spooky being there all by myself overnight, in this old palace that had been around for centuries. Memorable, but was I glad I saw other tourists at the place the next day. I definitely don't remember seeing any of these scenes of boys being openly sold in the main tourist squares. Maybe it's a Marrakesh thing?

The idea that Moroccans of any age or social standing would be the unwitting victims to the schemes of foreign tourists is laughable. Exploiting and scamming tourists is a national sport, there. Whoever you might be, you won't match their wits. They have home turf advantage and they will make the most of your culture shock. This is extremely sad. I had something similar happen to myself in Marrakesh, I was a student at the time and went alone to visit the museums etc. I was befriended by another young guy on the street, similar age to me who said he would show me around.
After a nice day hanging out with him I agreed to meet him on the evening at his apartment and then go out. When I got to the apartment there were two older men there with him. I found it very strange but we all went out and went to some underground bars. I got the impression that I was being brought into some sex ring or something so I immediately left. The guys were like over double our age and Moroccan but lived in Europe.

Traffickers all start nice and helpful at first a few years ago (for reference based on my beard and clothes I honestly looked homeless) got off the last intercity bus to the downtown of a city with a big homeless problem wearing a backpack and a skatwboard I was quickly approached by a nice but just off seeming lady who told me she knew about a shelter I told her I didn't need that but she pestered me for another two blocks until I walked past a police car she for seem didn't feel like helping me find a place to stay after that

@@mmaryuv5777 There was a problem a few years ago because i personally know of two American individuals who were caught and fled there for their lives. They were caught with underage boys who were offered to them by the hotel where they stayed. They claimed it was a set-up but later confessed. Still, the US Embassy protected them. I know this to be a fact. I hope it’s no longer happening in Algiers but things like this don’t stay localized.

all this sexual aggression in eastern countries -- india, thailand, pakistan, yemen, philipines etc, etc... begins at home. these people don't have respect for women or children and this attitude is passed from generation to generation. Look how this kid said his parents are poor and tell their children they cant come home at night if they don't come back with money. who thinks like that ?? what kind of parent leaves their kid in the street at night? and the parents don't ask where the money comes from nor do they care.

Begins at home for the western/foreign pedophiles / sex tourists as well. One side has poverty and the other side use their money to abuse and take advantage of other’s misery. One should actually ask who thinks about only about isolating the victim and placing all the blame on them. Without DEMAND there would be no sex traffic.

Don't generalize please this only happens in the extremely poor families. I live in Morocco I've never felt like I was any less than my brother , I'm from a middle class household very normal and all people I know are the same as me so this only happens in places where there is extreme poverty here but let's be honest places in the us where there is extreme poverty a lot of illegal trafficking and selling goes on it basically happens in most countries but in the poor areas that's why us people from middle class or those from rich households don 't ever witness this or see it . And we just think it doesn't exist in our country while it does exist in most countries in the extremely poor areas

Has this horrific situation changed in Morocco since 2011? I’m really confused how a socially conservative Muslim country where being gay is taboo but tolerance for child sexual abuse exists? There is blame on poverty but it still is hard to understand how parents would look the other way knowing their sons are being raped for money. When will these societies start to change with modern times and understand that you can’t just make children that you can’t afford to raise and you can’t make children to be your income earners through lifelong struggles.
