This is absolutely wonderful to see, but my STRONGEST suggestion is that you make a longer full fledged tutorial for specifically using Blender with Kitbash3D kits. I've been doing one-on-one training with two artists teaching me how to use Blender with the Kitbash3D kits and I have to believe there is a market for this type of learning.

Hey there, we put this article together with some ideas on how to optimize for performance in Blender: help.kitbash3d.com/en/articles/6637865-how-to-best-optimize-kitbash3d-kits-for-blender
What type of computer are you using?? I bought the Mac studio ultra with 64-core and 128G Memory. When I copy the buildings like you described in the video my whole computer gets slow and laggy! This is the fastest computer apple Carry. Should I be doing this workflow on a pc?
Hey there! We just published an article that outlines some steps you can take to optimize the Kit in Blender if it's not running well on your machine: intercom.help/kitbash3d/en/articles/6637865-how-to-best-optimize-kitbash3d-kits-for-blender
12:12: Easier said then done. Blender recently dropped support for OpenCL and now won't support my GPU anymore, not without a newer motherboard that supports PCI-E atomics at least (which would be extremely expensive as I would also have to switch out my CPUs and very large amount of RAM)... So I am stuck with CPU rendering for the time being. Really wish they would have chosen a more well-supported standard than HIP. That said, it is really surprising just how fast live ray tracing can actually get a pretty understandable image on my 2011 Xeon CPUs and even my older 2009 Xeon CPUs before then. It may be noisy, but it can certainly give a good idea of how the scene looks especially at a lower viewport preview resolution or by zooming in. It also has the benefit of not being limited by VRAM, which has particularly been a problem for me with some KitBash3D kits that will go over my GPUs 8GB and cause textured view to slow to a crawl, while meanwhile, the Cycles CPU rendering works just fine as long as I have a huge amount of RAM to go with it, which I do, as I was tired of always running out and my old server motherboard supports a LOT.
There's no shame in using an older version of Blender. I've seen guys like Ian Hubert still using many different older versions all at once depending on their updates.
Scale Soft Selection...what do you mean by middle mouse + scroll? After selecting the point and attempting to scroll with the middle mouse button is just zooms in/out...
When I instance a collection to the scene, it creates the instance, but the instance's location is back at 0,0 instead of at the base of the object. That makes it really difficult to work with and place where I want it. Is there a good way to solve this that doesn't involve having to move each item to 0,0 before instancing the collection?
I don't understand why this kit is very laggy on my computer, does any one else have the same issue or solution to fix it ? Got 32gb of ram and a 2080...
I'm not able opening that blender file whenever i try to open it, blender keep getting crash and then I'll get a black screen then i have to restart my PC after that my specs is RTX 3060(6gb Vram) 16GB ram and i7 11800H
I've opened the Minerva kit in Blender as instructed in this video. But, when I render a still, the textures do not appear on the model. How do I assign the textures from the kit to the models in Blender?

First time really trying to do something with blender could never understand how it worked! Love the tutorial. some of the textures in the kit though seem to be purple still. Any Help?
This is exactly what I need but I could get past adding the displacement to the terrain. Its not loaded also the scene collection is not in folders like Big, Detail, Small etc. I have Blender 3.3.1
I was following the tutorial and I had an issue with the displacement, don't know exactly why but whenever I change from the modeling view to preview in cycles all the displaced terrain looks different. Any idea why this happens? I was just thinking that it might be because following the tutorial I used just the simple subdiv and just put 6 in the viewport instead of in the render?? But he does the same thing and it looks fine, don't know exactly what it's going on
the instance to scene method is great but why is this better than just copying the collection does anyone know please? The face count is still the same so why would performance be better? I have found no difference!
when I downloaded the kit it only downloaded the textures but without the objects, so does anyone know how to get the objects or if I did anything wrong?

@@alex.motiondesign The answer is at 2.05 in this video. After opening the blend file and finding the missing files open the empty scene (look in the video how to do that). After you can build your own scene with all the assets without it bogging down your system. You can save that scene to a separate file but it will have an association with de kit file.
