I'm wondering the same things as you. Especially, can I use the kits in many projects by copying and pasting my discount project? If you found out, can you enlighten me?
@@UnrealEnginecode I learned that Kitbash3d doesn't have built in collision, so you have to build it on in UE. Haven't found any information about nanite.
$119/month is way too much for a monthly sub. Actually I see they've changed it to $79/month. Even at this price point it's still too much, especially for hobbyists.
i noticed you arent signed into an account in the video. i just went on the website and signed into my account and im still able to purchase anything that isnt a "cargo exclusive". id image itd be the same for you if youve bought packs in the past
I sent kitbash a support request about this. I would guess that as long as you are paying for the license you can use any of the assets to build media/products/movies and say for example if you build a game and release the game you could cancel the kitbash subscription at the point where development has ended. But if you cancel you cannot then go on and build something new with the assets that you have already downloaded. You need to re-subscribe again. It would be unreasonable for a small movie production company to pay for multiple kitbash licences for their artists for 80+ years. From their EULA - "User understands and agrees that access to the Platform is required for use of the Assets. Termination of the Plan or uninstallation of the Platform will render the Assets unusable for use in creation of new Content, even if the Assets have been downloaded and used previously." Will drop a comment here when I get a reply from them. (I am also not affiliated with kitbash btw)
So yes as I said in the above comment I was correct and you can use kitbash to create content and cancel the subscription when your project has been completed. Below is the reply I got from Kitbash. I like the idea of Cargo. I own a lot of Kits. I'm on a Mac, and they say they are working on Cargo for the Mac. I hope they drop it soon. It's kind of frustrating to have all these kits and not have Cargo to work with. I have so many projects that would benefit from Cargo. I've stopped buying kits until Cargo for Mac comes out. In the meantime, I've been finding ways to work with Blender and my Kitbash3D kits. I just know with Cargo, I can work faster. I have Unreal software as well, and I'd really like to create some cinematic scenes with that.
in case anyone is having issues getting cargo working with Blender 3.6 LTS or maybe future versions I made a video showing how I was able to get it working. th-cam.com/video/XeSwKXqfAIs/w-d-xo.html

Is it true that Kitbash3d models are not optimized for UE5 and do not have collision or nanite support?
did you learn ?

yeah this environment kit is good for background or vista asset, but still for vista asset they lack of optimization specifically for game engine.

Pay for the monthly and download the whole library then just just cancel before the month is up🫡

hello. why everytime i click import. it can't import.
I think their Cargo pricing could be a little better. Their lowest tier only offers 10 downloads a month.
surely there's a way to just copy and paste whatever cargo downloads and then import the raw files back into your project... 👀
This is actually cheaper u can just scrap their entire library and then cancel the subscription lmao, u just need to prepare bigger storage space
And just two days ago they released Cyberpunk Vehicles kit which is exclusive to cargo. I think your fears are coming true.
HI someone know how can i fix error 101 ?
And meanwhile the ai promises soon to create 3D models for us with just a text prompt...
