I speak Spanish as a native and I speak English at an intermediate level. At the moment I have fallen in love with Italian and I am learning it. In addition to Duolingo I recommend other resources like Wilingua, Rosetta Stone and watch videos in Spanish with English subtitles and you write the words you don't understand in a notebook about the video. ¡Buena suerte!
I’m a grad student working on my phd in clinical psychology. I want to learn an additional language to become a multi-lingual psychologist. I particularly want to learn not only language but cultural nuances and how that affects the therapeutic process.
I would love to learn Greek. It's a beautiful language which is filled with an amazing history of written literature from the Greek tragedies, to the writings of the New Testament. Also, more than 30% of the English vocabular finds its roots from the Greek language and modern Spanish has also been strongly influence by Greek. I would be very grateful to be given the chance to learn this language since I live not to far from a Greek community and I am saving up to go to Greece hopefully next year, thank you.
Is Lingq a good companion to using Babbel and Lingq? I am thinking using two language apps like these would be a great combination. What do you think? I might have answered my own question from a previous comment on another video I watch of yours. Great video thanks.
Yes, you nailed it. We see apps like LingQ and Lingopie as good supplements to more traditional apps like Babbel. They would make a nice pair. Thanks for watching!
Babel sucks found put about it when my mom bought me a life time membership its too repetitive and too limited I learn vocab from more intensive input reading and writing
Here is THE test for any app, class or any program claiming to teach a language. If they honestly cannot demonstrate that 60% or more are not basically fluent after completing the program, it is a failure. Always remember that on a 100 point exam less than 60% is a failure.
