Ah The Bleeding. Such a classic! I remember when I first bought this CD. I was only 12 or 13. Used my allowance from working at the pizza shop! The production was amazing, vocals were still great, more understandable and less guttural than on TOTM. Me and my buddies always laughed at Chris' zombie voice on 'Pick-Axe Murders' 😂"You thought it was over, it's not over" part always cracked us up. This is one of the greatest death metal albums of all time. Every single song is a masterpiece. I wish there were more videos of the live shows during this time. I have downloaded a few from TH-cam but we need more! MORE BLEEDING LIVE FOOTAGE PLEASE!!!!! You're the best Jack.

Later switched to metal and then played in "Russian Cannibal Corpse" band called MORTEM (don't confuse with the one from Peru), which opened for CC in 2007 in Moscow and was officially scheduled for joint European tour with them... All venues and dates were on CC website, but... unfortunately, that didn't work out, not my fault 😭 Opening for Deicide also failed in Moscow because... the legendary band did not come (I heard they had some personal issues between the members)! So we played in their stead for those who did not return tickets (who were many). But I still had the privilege to share stage with Obituary, Dismember, Vesania and others... I actually have the whole story of my career in a video on my channel. And no, I'm not connected with Eric Kretz, we just have the same German surname 🙂

There is no fantasy world. It’s not like this blows any of Deicides first 4 out of the water. Actually anything from self titled to Serpents is as good or better

None of their albums are better than the Bleeding, as far as production, memorable songs, atmosphere, and guitar tone. It was the only Cannibal Corpse album that the lyrics were perfect for the music. All the early Deicide were probably superior to the other Cannibal Corpse albums. Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, and Immolation all released Real Death Metal albums up until now. It doesn't mean that I am required to like their recent work. Cannibal Corpse lost my interest after the Bleeding, but Deicide was really interesting up through In Torment, In Hell. Immolation is still interesting, but I thought that Harnessing Ruin was kind of weak

Different for signed and unsigned bands.Unsigned with low to no budget was 100 bucks per song.Signed with a label funding could range from 20 - 30 per hour..1991 money of course.

I just like the music all around, is a back to the roots style album, Maximum Violence oriented in my opinion. Nowdays seems like if your band is not technical and super fast you are "not good". a Marshall Valvestate was used on the bleeding, pretty sure they used crate amps on the 2nd and 3rd albums and on the 1st album a mesa boogie combo amp blended with a marshall jcm800 with a boss turbo overdrive was used

Always wanted to ask, its not in this video but finally got my hands on an Ibanez UV7BK a few months ago after watching old live videos of you playing it in the mid 90s years ago do you still have it and what year is it? I was lucky getting a 1990 model but i know theres differences in the later ones, other than MA shows it doesnt look like theyre used live that much anymore...
