❤the last time I felt this unsure of the future was when I was a monastic student of Thay and had just gone through a lot. I felt hopeless and my faith in the Dharma was depleted. So I got up in the middle of the night and went to Upper Hamlet’s meditation hall and sat in meditation, swearing that if the practice doesn’t work, I will walk away from the path. I think my karmic self wanted to destruct, but I sat and practiced as Thay taught and all the nourishment healed my despair. Thay saved me when no one else could.
Thay's words on the sangha are so beautiful. I am not fortunate to have a sangha of other people with me, but I have so much gratitude to Plum Village for providing the opportunity to receive these teachings and to sit in meditation with the online sangha. Thank you so much for everything always.
I feel a closer connection would be nice, but if the energy of thay and the sangha is received. If you felt better from the healing of the sangha, then you were part of the sangha. I hope you also find healing in thay's videos. Thank you for sharing. Bless you 🙏
I was thinking, that even if we don't have an actual physical Sangha community, Thay & Plum Village created an Online Sangha Community we can all be part of! How lucky are we to be part of this wonderful Sangha...🙏🙏🙏

I’m working on recovery and I think the really important things are the sangha body, dharma body and buddha body. Meditating together and then talking about our experiences. The early 12 step meetings were a lot of scripture reading and meditation. I’ve been cut off from the sangha for so long

Its a shame that Buddhism is often viewed under the same light as nihilism. A Buddhist could not be further from the drab, depressing and aimless nihilist, a Buddhist vows to live each moment as deeply as possible, cherishing life, and recognizing the joy in every moment.
