Seeing Deadpool make fun of the MCU is the most satisfying thing in a Marvel movie in years. This whole movie was basically a passion project not for just comic fans but also for Ryan as well.
It's Ricky Gervais making fun of the Hollywood elites. It's cathartic, while maintaining the status quo.
The 24-year-wait for Hugh Jackman to wear the iconic yellow & blue costume & mask was WORTH it.

At least you can tell these two characters apart. A running gag is that all MCU characters sound the same, so it's refreshing to hear characters sound different. 👍

One thing that makes this movie so satisfying, is how unapologetically it just gives the people what they want. There is this incomprehensible trend of studios trying to reinvent the wheel and losing the essence of what made the fans like it in the first place. Here, it’s like « you wanted it, here it is »

@@spinosaurusstriker I disagree. The Flash was very disrespectful towards passed-away actors by bringing them back with poor CGI. Deadpool and Wolverine on the other hand was much more respectful toward superhero movies of the past, and it didn't disrespect Logan.
Gambit didn't work just because of the character's extremity though, he worked because the core audience who watched the movie already knew who he was and has noted his conspicuous absence from everything X men in the last 25 years. This was one of those FINALLY moments in comic book movies, which is only made better the more you know about the inside baseball behind Channing Tatum specifically being cast.
Aye, it seemed like they really wanted to take the characters that had been shit on in films and give them a redemption. Electra wasn't treat well in Daredevil and Blade while I enjoyed 1 and 2, 3 is universally agreed as terrible. So it was nice to see them get to be heroes in this, and not the jokes the previous films have made them, which majorly happened to Gambit.

I also just noticed, it feels like Jackman got the crouched claws out move a LOT better than in origins where it just looked weird as hell.
Deadpool & Wolverine is by far one of the greatest, funniest, and definitely most rewatchable Marvel films ever. I haven't felt so entertained by a MCU movie in theaters ever since Thor Ragnarok and Infinity War. That Like a Prayer scene is already a cult classic, planning to buy the Blu-ray disk once it comes out.

The fact that Gambit was never in the freaking XMEN MOVIES ticks me off so much. Not that I like his crazy accent too much, but at least the character got some recognition. He can turn literally anything into a weapon.
I still remember the cartoosn when he attacks the Sentinel robots while being in a "work camp" by hypercharging a handful of bolts and turning it into deadly shrapnel. Or in a scene exploding a stairway? when Cable attacks them to daze him. I felt that it's cool, and thing the same like 20 years later!
I love the dynamic between Filmento and Moviemento. I love how this also ties into the lessons that this video provides.

As long Arad lives, there's no hope
even if he's alive he's damage cause some blessings at the end, sure he may be did some things like that but if the corporate care for fans they will not want to messed things up, also i don't like avi arad but his work create some bridge to a more unexpected collab like this we wouldn't know if even without him marvel would be like this. MCU is not perfect neither the other films the came before, but are we sure without avi Arad everything will be fine and great? this is Hollywood someone who doesn't care but business will end up damaging film industry, with or without the worse people like avi arad or Kathleen Kennedy.

Lowkey I still don't understand why Gambit is the iconic one in this movie. It feels to me like that one Seth MacFarlane short clip whose entire joke is "Scottish people talk funny". You know, one of the clips that were so unfun or dragged out that couldn't make it to a Family Guy cutaway gag.

- "A wolverine variant whose under 6 ft. tall" - that's not a variant, that's his real height in the comics. Not 5'11, but 5'3.
- "His power is throwing cards, who the hell cares?" A lot of comic book nerds way back in the original X-men and Wolverine spinoff movies, that's who.
I mean, geez Filmento, I get you never read comic books, but you never watched X-men the animated series when you were young?
- We did not expect Chris Evans to appear as the ultimate good guy, but rather as Captain America. Bait n switch, Human Torch which made sense being in the void.
- Blade said that because it is an uphill battle, shooting a Blade remake. And Deadpool "chuckling emoji" at an emo Blade is a bad read - his expression is he agrees there's only one Blade.
C'mon man. You insisted it is a Michael Bay flick, you forgot it is an homage to both comic and marvel geeks alike. The Bay recipe did not make this successful, the homage did.

The plot is paper thin, so many scenes ape moments in the previous movies, it disregards about 75% of what's come before in the franchise... AND I AM HERE FOR IT!
I think that's the real lesson here. Not every movie has to be a schindler's list of emotional impact, but if you're going to do some nostalgia baiting fan service, then just do it and go all out and the audience will respect that. That said, this movie wasn't possible 20 or even 10 years ago. There was so much history that went into making each of these elements come together the way they did.

GAMBIT IS ONE OF THE COOLEST MUTANT FROM THE CARTOONS. OF COURSE PEOPLE ARE EXCITED TO SEE HIM APPEAR IN HIS OVER THE TOLD OLD COSTUME, AND ACTUALLY HAS FOCUS ON HIM.
Agree with most points, it finally felt so good to have an MCU movie that is without the usual pathos and heroic sacrifice, it's the underdogs of a setting who are aware of them being mistreated by the MCU, trying to salvage something. And as it takes place in the wastebin of the MCU designing table, everything is game, and they go HARD with it.
Honestly it was also great to have a lot of characters who were screwed over in the films they were in get some redemption. Gambit, Blade, Electra, all these characters were absolutely terrible in the films they were in previously (well Blade it was his last film but you get it), so its great to see them get to be the heroes they should be.
Proving him wrong with Transformers 1 is unfair, it is literally an amazing movie

I love this movie. I watched it two days ago and I enjoyed every second of it. Boy how I missed a properly entertaining superhero movie. Frankly, the plot could've been anything. The strength of the movie lies in the dynamics amongst characters and how ridiculous are the situations.
I hate that this movie is successful. Not because I think it’s bad and doesn’t deserve money, it’s success is earned, it’s just it’ll give the leechs at Disney the wrong idea that in order to succeed, they just need to shove celebrity actors and forced nostalgia into everything like that godawful Flash film from last year. We’re already beginning to see it with the talk of Spider-Man 4 being ANOTHER multiverse film banking off Tobey and Andrew and Robert Downey Jr being cast as Dr doom (and likely being just MCU Tony stark turned bad somehow)
Also it doesn’t rly count but how Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2 randomly tried doing a random Web Of Shadows homage for the climax for no reason and fumbled it in every conceivable way possible.
I’m so sick of capeshit that just recycles previous adaptations and actors so annoying redditors can give them gold points n shit, this genre barely feels like art anymore and Scorsese is kinda right at this point.
I expected to enjoy this movie significantly more than the others..... I did NOT expect to get legitimately emotional from the Maddona-infused climax 😭✊️

@@spinosaurusstriker There were actual bad ones like the Eternals, but they constantly trash it regardless when it was trying something new (like what the Eternals did by introducing new cosmic heroes that fans are new to) or trying to establish the Multiverse by giving the viewers a taste/sneak peek of it (multiverse of madness), but instead will find faults only and will ride the hate train against those types of movies just to profit.

The plot sucked. But the wolverine and Deadpool interactions was entertaining and made the movie. Honestly a team up movie with them that had nothing to do with the multiverse would have been better. What about a time travelling Deadpool that just travels to various points of Wolverine life (movie history) just to irritate and annoy him. They could have him helping Wolvie escape from Weapon X, fighting Silver Samurai, fight Sabretooth or even help him fight in Logan. But though it Wolvie hates him but knows that he is useful in a fight. That would be a fun movie, reliving scenes in old movies but changed because DP has changed it.
