    This is probably my favorite cinematic out of all the Old Republic games. I mean, in a matter of like 2 min Malgus walked in, killed a Sith, killed a Jedi Master, stole a map to Force sensitive children and turned a Padawan to the Dark Side and then just left like lmao that was easy gg losers

    malgus literally taught Sahar more in that 10 minute encounter by being real with her than the jedi probaly has in YEARS!! malgus knew apologies don't strike as sincere when your ass is hung helplessly upside-down lol.. master tried to say sorry and malgus u can tell had the "ain't nobody trying hear that bullshit AFTER u already been caught lying, and then straght up cuts homeboy down b4 he could even finish his apology! then that last "lesson" of telling her to "break free" when she's ready by trapping her underneath rubble, the way malgus leaves her to be helplessly left behind like her brother was, juxtaposing the flashback shots with a shot of malgus walking away! epic! I think malgus was giving her the option of A)stay here n continue to embrace the jedi and their weaker hypocritical ways, or b) give into some of her deeper emotions and free herself from the rubble by embracing the dark side, kinda like her brother probably had to free himself from slaveryby embracing the darkside after being "left behind. (that part is just my theory).

    • @williamconto6977
      @williamconto6977 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Jedis were always about disengagement with emotions and relationships. Of course the brother wouldn’t be taken, and even if force sensible they would make sure they wouldn’t see each other often.

      What lie did the jedi tell?

    • @LA_HA
      @LA_HA 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Tre98th This is just my opinion, but it's not that the Jedi lie. They have their own point of view, their own reasons for doing things. Their goals are noble. However, it's well known that sometimes, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
      So, to "protect" their padawans from things they're not ready to hear and understand in a measured, even disinterested way, jedi tend to omit certain truths (or elements of the whole truth) until the padawan is ready. The trouble is, a lot of padawans may not be ready for a long time.
      The Sith, on the other hand, lie in different ways for different reasons. I think of this as a devil's lie -- it has enough truth in it to be convincing, which can twist the deeper meaning behind truth; but, plug in the lies to complete their manipulation and get the outcome they desire. After all, what's holding them back?
      This is why many fans talk a lot about the middle ground of being a grey jedi, who supposedly uses both the dark and the light side of The Force.
      They just don't realize that using both doesn't make you a better, more balanced, more noble person. Balance is far more difficult and dangerous to attain and maintain than simply choosing to go half and half. One way or the other will have a strong pull/resonance with each individual because most people are either essentially jedi or sith.
      In my opinion, someone who's truly balanced in The Force is truly neither sith nor jedi; but One With The Force. So, they really are Grey Force Users.
      There are times I wonder if they can be called Grey Whills (aka Shaman of the Whills). haha

    • @valashar5313
      @valashar5313 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I wouldn't want to join Malgus. He has too great a history of killing his allies or cutting them loose when they threaten his own personal advancement. While he does drop some serious wisdom at times, ultimately he's a user. I've always been more partial to Darth Marr, who I think was woefully underutilized. I often wondered how he and Lord Scourge got along when Scourge was Emperor's Wrath. They both present as very no nonsense non-evangelical true believers. They are Sith, blood and bone, but it's just who they are at all times. They don't bring it up every two minutes or monologue about the power of the dark side.

    • @valashar5313
      @valashar5313 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MsSilentGaming If they were just waiting for the game to die it wouldn't be getting any attention beyond keeping the servers in maintenance mode. Rather it's been getting regular patches, mechanics updates, new content both smaller free packs and full expansions like Legacy coming up. It's going into its 11th year and is showing no more signs of fading out than WoW. SW:TOR might get new stuff more slowly than WoW, but what it does get enjoys longer retention time than anything WoW has tried in the last few years. I mean, look how long and loud the hype train was for WoW Classic. Then once it was FINALLY released after years of waiting it lost over 80% of its players just two months later, most of whom didn't bother coming back when they rolled out Burning Crusade. SW:TOR sees similar fall-off after each of its expansions, with only the true loyalists sticking around all the time (like any MMO, really) but those that leave for other stuff never fail to return when the next one comes around.
