Chiafade now he needs Magazine jewel. Which is a R7 jewel. Zinogre guaranteed 1 sealed and some carved feystone which have lower chance of getting a magazine jewel than warped feystone. Grinding jagras quest gives you many warped jewels which is a much higher chance of getting magazine decor. I keep mixing up jewels decors and feystone😂
So is this more a hybrid wide gunlance cause I was thinking of playing it with charged shells as well like this than the pokes with the shells cause it feels kinda slower to me than charged shelling or is playing it as the obvious poke shell playstyle better for damage than charged shelling
When you use the claw in a drooling monster, it resets the drooling timer to six seconds. Basically you make bigger the opening at the cost of one or two seconds of clear time. You will not learn this from a speedrunner

Just picked up gunlance and love using wide 7. Noticed you are using earplugs in the build. I get annoyed with the constant roaring and end up losing a lot of uptime with it. Would it be worth using earplugs in general hunting builds?
I use earplugs a lot because allows you to place the wsb at the start while is roaring and forget about it. I save rocksteady for after flinching the monster once or twice maxing the duration of it.

@@jcol1708 full element awaken+critical element is the best damage boost for a wide gunlance. So in a optimal world for Wide we are able to have Artillery 5 plus crit element with enough skills, but we were not able to do that with zorah+velkhana armor because their armor sucks ass

new to GL can someone explain to me how come you aren't losing any of your slingers when you attach that bomb to him? I was told it cost slingers to do that
Watch the start of the video, I pick the pod from the crab and then load it into the gunlance (take a look to the corner for the input) that is the moment the ammo is lost and you can carry extra ammo for loading it again once you place the WSB or to flinchshot (use the ammo after the claw to slam the monster against a wall)

I did zorah and I got everything I need with earplugs 5, artillery 5, guard 5, guard up, capacity boost, tremor res 3, health boost 3, focus 3, evade extendo 3, slinger capacity 3, even flynch free 1 comes with the armor and helps a little bit. Got agitator 2 as well from brach gloves but that's not used. It's zorah alpha+ helm, beta+ chest, beta+ waist, raging brach gloves alpha+, silver rath legs beta+, guard charm. Only really rare gem I have is 1 earplugs+, if I had 2 I think it may be very slightly better. edit: nvm I got an earplugs vitality gem too...
@@DTPandemonium Only good thing Zorah has over Brachy is that its available sooner. You can farm it as soon as you hit the guiding lands. But everything you can do with zorah you can do better with ragin brachy. The real big difference is the jump in defense you get when fully augmented.
Could have shaved off a few seconds eating a nulberry (shortcut) to shake off the blast blight as an alternate to rolling around unless you want to keep some space from Brachy. Awesome run!
Yeah. It extends the drooling by 6 seconds so you get a big opening window for damage. You have time enough to toss a WS/WSB there. It is not a speedrunning technique since just attacking is more damage
I have no idea how you're supposed to fight this thing. I watched this, but where I'm at in the game I can't even deal enough damage to make him stagger or anything. He just one-shots me and I can't do shit.

Oh for sure. That would probably be stronger with a Safi elemental GL though. I'm not certain if the Raging Brach armor is better than full Safi for elemental playstyles yet as I'm a PC player but I would expect the skills on it would support the playstyle quite well. I feel like 4 piece RBrach + 1 Piece Velk & Velk awaken will be an extremely powerful set that may surpass everything we have on PC right now.

You don't have to do a thrust before you load WSB; you can do that from guard. It's the same input.

No, for normal use chest b and a safi weapon with a set bonus like silver rath depending on what you need to.

Safi weapons are better, but Stygian will work until you get a Safi normal 7, at least as far as I know.

When you hook to a drooling monster, It resets the duration so you get 7 extra seconds of the monster staying there doing nothing.

Shelling awakens only go up to level 2 at 4star atm.
So if theres a shelling 3, itll go up to 5star like most of the other augments.

Zanbamon I’m still confused. The brachy gunlance doesn’t even have an element, and that’s the only gunlance that has level 7 shells at the moment.
How is it possible that after sharpening, you have a protectiv polish effektiv. I watched it on the Weapon bar. So....how?

W6 charged shell is a worse long 6.
With part breaker you get extra stqgger in unbroken parts. On broken, does nothing.

You will see me using normal in a blue moon. Normal is great right now but I have more affinity for quicker attacks

I'm not certain if the Raging Brach armor is better than full Safi for elemental playstyles yet as I'm a PC player but I would expect the skills on it would support the playstyle quite well. I feel with this new armor set, you will have less dps because of lack of slinger capacity when playing multiplayer
The amount of additional time you get with slinger capacity is actually not that significant. Its nice to have but not mandatory by any means.
