In the Realm of Magic pack, the window called "Window of Opportunity" gives off a white PVC windows vibe. I use them all the time in my builds when I want the houses to look more "British" in their style. You want to choose the white swatch, this gives you the window WITHOUT the stain-glass patterns on the frame and inner frame.
@@DevonBumpkin ALSO just realised too, all the white swatches for the windows in this pack even the rounded ones work the same way. So you can even use the rounded corner windows too in the same way with the square window in between them. Great for a front living room window.
Love the British builds especially council ones. Growing up in a council house I can relate to some of it apart from I was one of 5 so we had a 3 bed. My mum always changed the wallpapers and furniture and as a single mum she did an amazing job with a nice home😊
Watching you do the detailing on the build and, while we're from completely different ends of the UK, this is SO BRITISH I can actually feel it through the screen lol. Love it!
Love your British builds Aiden. I'd also love to see you do terrace of three of these council homes and do each in a different decor style that the residents might aspire to. So perhaps a cottage decor style, an industrial one and a boho. But there's SO MANY different styles out there. I just think it'd be fun to see how different you could make the standard British council home look.
Mate I’ve just came across this in my feed, nearly 1 am, pulling a uni all nighter. And you are just the joy I needed during my break to keep me going with a smile. “Flop up” man, aww the non BBC’d britishness is sooo re-freshing thank you.
I had to google mrs Hinge and ended up finding an article on her old house. She actually has a vanity table that looks exactly like the one from that luxe kit (I forget the name) I love decorating houses that are not my taste at all. It’s so fun doing a theme or basing it on something existing
Thank you for this! I've lived in council homes all my life and even today I can't afford to rent privately or buy my own home, I'm definitely not embarrassed as I used to be to say my home is council owned.
Hailing from the states, here. A good 80-90 percent of families who take government housing (and food assistance) are people trying to provide for their families and are perfectly LOVELY individuals. I’ve had so many of them come through when I was working in retail back in the day and they were always my favorite customers. The problem is the 10-20 percent a**holes who screw over the system and ruin it for the rest. Personally, I feel if a government is going to make it SO difficult to afford living, they need to to allow concessions in some ways.
I lived in one of these for last year in primary school and going into secondary school. 3 bedroom, the box room was smaller than a closet, couldn't open the door the full way because the single bed took up too much room! We didn't have sky TV then, it was before sky TV days! Love the British builds and want to see more of them.
there is a swatch of the realm of magic window that i find looks fairly pvc british style lol. its the "window of opportunity" and theres a plain white and black swatch that i use for builds like this
AHAAHA ur little comments on different bits, like when u placed the smooth keeper, and then said "trip hazard" AHAHAAHHAAH i laughed so much, thanks for a great video and an good build!, i just subscribed!
Devon, you are a gem. Your videos are an anchor in stormy seas and your voice is like a siren singing in the darkness leading us all back to the light... Thank you
I bloody love when you do british council housing! I'm a council house kid too and it makes me feel so nostalgic seeing the types of houses i grew up around.
Absolutely loved this, I grew up in an ex-council house and watching this is so nostalgic, I always loved living in a smaller house because it felt so cosy to me
My uncle & auntie lived in a house just like this when I was a kid. Only difference was it was 3 bed as they had 3 kids & the interior decor was brown. But feels very nostalgic.
It’s currently 33°C / 90°F where I am, and with humidity factored in, you can imagine the discomfort. I hope the heatwave you’re supposed to be getting isn’t that terrible and everyone stays safe! Happy building! ❤
I’m kind of obsessed with sims tiny houses! But this one feels like the most realistic one I’ve seen. I’ve definitely been in this house before vibes 👏
I went off to check out Mrs Hinch and was shocked to see her living room looking just like yours, with the addition of crushed velvet sofas. Thought I would hate it but it’s actually quite appealing. I personally prefer a little colour but I don’t mind a clean white base.
This video popped up as a recommended vid and I clicked straight away. Despite being Australian, I recognised this type of government housing from when I was a kid! Only a minute in and I subbed instantly- your calming and loving vibes are exactly what I needed today ❤❤❤
I grew up on a council estate where everyone knew everyone else -great timesWe had a car (there were only 3 on the street at the time) We had a phone that everyone in the street would come and use instead of walking to the phone box 🤦🏻♀️😂And yes,we had a sky dish 😂Hope you had a fantastic holiday!
Agh, I’m absolutely obsessed with your entire beingggg!! lol Srsly, watching your vids inspired me to start posting my own. Thank you for always being a cheeky pick me up past time for me. ❤
Honestly take the time to use your BBQ, it makes everything taste amazing and it is so quick. I use mine no matter the weather and my family have a custom of having rainy midnight barbeques
You did put a pipe on the left, it got deleted when you did the fence. We have similar looking places here in Canada, near Ottawa. I was from the deep countryside so I didn’t know those places when I was young, discovered them when I moved to town. The boyfriend of one of my cousin was raised in one of them.
omg the speed build music was SO CUTE. Also, why don't we have decent gates in the Sims?!?! I tried looking for CC on curseforge but there was like, 4 total, and none of them worked for what I wanted.
Me and my Husband lived in an MOD property in Plymouth and looked similar heheheh :P We had PVC windows where it had the pvc white panels at the bottom, when we had storms and really windy they bent inwards, thought the windows were going to come in! Lovely house Aden :D Oooh you are naughty chucking the newspapers under a bush lol 😂 😂 When we were looking to buy a house one was all grey 3 bedroomed both big bedrooms everything was grey ewww
Love your channel, Aden. I'm probably responsible for so many views because I'll put you on to fall asleep. Your voice is soothing LOL!! But then I rewatch, because I want to be sure I pay attention at least one of the watches.
Ah it's good to see a bit of real Britain in the Sims! I love Henford on Bagley, but it did desperately need a built-up area with a supermarket and a right-proper council estate! We do desperately need a realistic, modern-but-not-posh, set of PVC windows and doors, maybe they'll do a kit, probably the only way it'll happen. Anyway, she's a stunner, you're a treasure, and I'm a new devotee of your work, and can't wait to see more build flop up on my feed (does that sound wrong? I think I made things weird again, sorry!)
As someone who grew up and still lives in one, I wish I was a grey and white council house, coz my current house is brown everything is BROWN!!! THE WALLS THE CARPET THE SOFA!! 😭 literally everything
Not magnolia! I swear I have ptsd from the magnolia walls (could just be the being forced to stare at them in the corner for hours for being "naughty" a.k.a undiagnosed autistic) but like my dad refused to let us have anything else in the living area/stairwell/landing.
This is so cool, but it would be even better to make it look exactly like a council house, including all the mould, peeling wallpaper, tiny kitchen and bedrooms full of junk and clothes 😅
This is absolutely a young grandmother’s house (she prefers to be called “Glammy” because she isn’t “old enough” to be a Nan or Grandma)
Why did I think of one of my aunts who isn't a grandma yet 😅
Brilliant 😂
‘Glam-ma’
This is so hun culture I love it
B&M-core, perfect
It just needs “Live, Laugh, Love” on the living room wall 😂 I love it haha. I grew up in a council house too!
Now now! Rishi Sunak never had Sky TV 😂😂😂 I love this, grew up in an 80s council house and had the best days of my life with a massive garden! Xx❤
Oh I forgot this, I felt so bad for him 🎻
Literally was going to say reckon a young Rishi looked up with dreams in his mind when he saw the sky dish 😅😅😅
Love when you do British builds. Makes me feel all nostalgic ❤
I love when you do British builds! It's so fun to get to know the different styles through you.

OMG I never knew this window existed! Its perfect!
@@DevonBumpkin I knew you'd like it! ENJOY! Would love to see you use them ASAP in one of your builds
@@DevonBumpkin ALSO just realised too, all the white swatches for the windows in this pack even the rounded ones work the same way. So you can even use the rounded corner windows too in the same way with the square window in between them. Great for a front living room window.

The interior is totally bringing back memories of 2000s British home makeover shows like 60 Minute Makeover. I love the nostalgia!

*scrambles for BOTH asthma medicine*
"Devoid of soul" so right! I am loving your narrative. I'm really here for that!!
Mate I’ve just came across this in my feed, nearly 1 am, pulling a uni all nighter. And you are just the joy I needed during my break to keep me going with a smile.
“Flop up” man, aww the non BBC’d britishness is sooo re-freshing thank you.
This house is so aggressively B&M, home bargains, dunelm and tk maxx. Excellent job hehe 😝
‘Very Dunelm’ 😂 thank you 🙏
Please keep being you and creating brilliant content ❤
What does that mean? Like Dunelm in Durham?
@@headlikeorange3600 it’s a very chic shop, dear. Full of trashy tat 😝
Im British and I've lived in council houses all my life! My parents are disabled so we had to live in a tiny council house ❤
I had to google mrs Hinge and ended up finding an article on her old house. She actually has a vanity table that looks exactly like the one from that luxe kit (I forget the name)
I love decorating houses that are not my taste at all. It’s so fun doing a theme or basing it on something existing
I’ve legit just found this channel. I’ve followed not for your builds but for your chat😂😂😂
It's totally Mrs Finch! A desaturated space dedicated to cleanliness lol!

I discovered your channel at 1:30 this morning and I'm in love!!! Wonderful builds🥰🥰🥰
your commentary is great! AND - I love that you call your viewers "my darlings" it's so sweet!!!
I live the nostalgia I get when I see a satellite dish in your builds
Home sick today and watching my comfort youtuber ❤️
As much as I hate the crushed velvet look, you’ve nailed it. Also love a wee visit to Dunelm so no judgement here
Oh my goodness, the second I cast this to the TV, my 5 month old smiled so wide to see your face 😍😍
"might come quite fast" describes all of my one night stands

i believe minc does some windows with the pvc look, as well as some other lovely cc sets. I believe they are sims resource though.
Ah so many of those near here too! Love to see these in a row sometime!
ooh i love crushed velvet! I especially love the "velvet" wallpaper! It's my dream to have a "velvet" wallpaper accent wall in my dining room!
I’m kind of obsessed with sims tiny houses! But this one feels like the most realistic one I’ve seen. I’ve definitely been in this house before vibes 👏
That is spot on for Mrs Hinch's living room apart from the rug should be shag pile lol.
I went off to check out Mrs Hinch and was shocked to see her living room looking just like yours, with the addition of crushed velvet sofas. Thought I would hate it but it’s actually quite appealing. I personally prefer a little colour but I don’t mind a clean white base.
Moving mrs.crumblebottom in immidately
OMG the vibes of this are perfect! Very Mrs Hinch!!!
Very clean, it speaks to my OCD virgo self! I feel her vibe apart from the no color of course...
love this! the park is so nostalgic TT
This looked so much like my home growing up, I was actually startled for a second when I saw the thumbnail
I moved to the UK last year and am so glad that I’m finally getting your references 😂

Aden you are glowing! 😍
A few of them put together on the same lot would make a good council estate.
Love this! And you have a great personality :-) very entertaining and it was super relaxing to watch how your build worked out ❤

i want to live in one of these so bad 😭 they have so much charm
You've given me an idea for a tiny town idea (using deligracy's challenge) but council house tiny town. (my last tiny town challenge went squiffy)
first time watching and just the intro made me want to subscribe, GREAT video
Aidan revealing secrets worthy of the Sims.
ooo new music, its giving sims 3 vibes
I'm so glad you're back!

Estover boy here too! :D
i can smell this house and im obsessed with it
I live in Australia and the council houses look similar here.
We had record temp of 107F yesterday, no air movement. Very odd for this part of the US
Oh nice! So a British variant of low income housing! Cool! I’m low income and live off of disability aid so its nice to see this.
"Verrrry Dunelm!" 😂
20:37 imagine farting and someone brings out a vacuum to suck the scent out of your bum 😩
So im in southern American and its been 105 degrees f. I don't know what that is in Celsius 😂
Aden: Do we have a gate for this? Me: No. Sight unseen, no. They NEVER have a gate.
You definitely did put that drain pipe in. Don’t let this game gaslight you!
Right? I knew it
I will absolutely be contacting your mom
about the plastic willow 😂
Just perfect 😂❤
the modern luxe kit not including a crushed velvet sofa feels like a crime against mrs hinch😭
I think that you would do a great renovation of Vlad's house and the Airplane house.
Why have you built my aunt's house?
Kidding but it's eerily similar 😅
So many memories 😂
As someone who grew up and still lives in one, I wish I was a grey and white council house, coz my current house is brown everything is BROWN!!! THE WALLS THE CARPET THE SOFA!! 😭 literally everything
The amount of times we had parties at a single house because it was the only one with sky 😂
The music is giving big Six Feet Under vibes
Love it ... but I wanted to ask... No mailbox? ... Anyway... glad to see you back after your holiday ... you deserved it ...
We don't have mailboxes in the UK. We have letterboxes on the door :)
It’s screaming for a live laugh love sign
Slap on some pebbledash and paint everything inside magnolia and it's like I never left! Would never swap that council house childhood for anything

No but I thought the words MRS HINCH the second before you said them!!!
‘We’ve got enough room to swing a hamster in here…’ 😂😂😂😂😂😂☺️😂
