I genuinely think tiny living is the best stuff pack. It's only $10 and not only does it add a fun challenge for build mode, it also gives you SO many interesting new gameplay scenarios. I find myself putting sims in tiny houses all the time. It's like one of the bigger packs like seasons, growing together or for rent, that impacts your whole game and not just one world, but for way cheaper.
Agree! So underrated for skill building too. On the 32 & 64 tile lots you gain skills at double the speed which is handy. I will usually always start a new sim in a tiny home! 🎉❤
I looooove tiny living because I'm just generally better at building small houses, I think it's too complicated to build a big mansion, I just like having my sims live in a small house where everything they need are within a few steps, plus the buffs of tiny home are very useful!
Honestly, my favorite game start for the Sims 4 is a spellcaster in a microhome off the grid, simple living, gardener career. Until I can afford animals, it’s so easy to work from home, experiment and grow my magic, get a little farm dog or cat for a familiar, and now it’s so much easier to find love with a dating app! And they take over training the horse and pets while the first Sim farms and milks and sheers…I love micro homes the most in general. They make everything so much more fun.
@@katiestork3221 Oh, have fun! I admit I never really get into legacies in my own gameplay, but I keep meaning to try. I just don’t want to watch my Sims die 😅 It’s why I like occults I can make immortal so much.
@@dellarosa24601 If either of you like downloading builds instead of making your own, Saintrees on the gallery does amazing witchy/boho/werewolf tiny homes. why is it giving me vibes "i used galvanized steel and covered it with eco-friendly wood veneer to create extra space for bedding and out-of-season clothes" lol, nice job Little John- sorry, lilsimsie, nice video!
You totally could’ve gotten a debug house from.. debug, then put it behind your house, then took the matching debug fence and made this lot look like two! And there’s also a gap in the fence back there, so it probably would’ve looked pretty believable, and been completely free!
I was trying to build a limited pack house the other day and realized half-way though that I wasn't enjoying it. Sure, there will be less people who'd be able to use my builds, but my main focus is on the my own enjoyment while I build. So don't worry about the packs.
I once made a eco mirco home before and it honestly worked out so well despite everything being extremely cramped. Like I had an entryway separated by a wall, where I put a shoe rack and some art, and then had another wall with a diagonal leading to the bathroom, and then I had the tiny living tall table against a wall that separated the kitchen/laundry area, like I had a fridge, a stove and oven, one kitchen counter, a sink and a washing machine for it to work, and in the living and dining I had the Murphy bed that was facing a tv, and I also used those 3D windows from eco lifestyle because they just made the space feel so much bigger. Like the window sills made some good area to clutter.
The only thing that scares me about that is the Murphy bed... started a legacy rags to riches a bit ago and my sim died on day 2 from one. Never doing that again.
As an European, i am sooo happy to see those fences just around the lot, bc it feels lot more realistic for me. Like our fences are like that irl, just a little bit cheaper looking lol I remember when i was around 8 playing the sims for the first time, and automatically putting fence around the lot and not understanding where all of my money went
😂 I always try different styles to play sims lol. They all end up in death 💀 also the lovestruck pack is kinda good tbh but my sims keep cheating on each other-
@@Idkwhattodofornames not sure why it does it lol but (I don’t have the pack to my self but my mum does and I watch and play her game) the sims have 2 relationships and the sim just turned up at her house and the relationship (love relationship) was already high level so I’m kinda mad and confused at the same time 😭😭😭 I don’t want my sims cheating 😭
@@BethykykI don’t have Eco Lifestyle but I’ve heard some people have this problem because of a “free love” neighbourhood thing, so that could also be it if you have that pack!
Hey Kayla! A suggestion for if you want to do more limited pack builds, but maybe it would be fun to come up with a backstory for the sim that lives there, and then build based on what packs are related to that backstory. Like for this one, maybe the sim and their dog are escaping some drama in their old neighborhood and moved to this house to try and curb their flirty ways, but uh oh, this neighborhood is also full of sims they want to, ahem, get to know better. So you limit yourself to Cats & Dogs, Tiny Living, Lovestruck, and maybe 1-2 other related packs that work with the "story" but aren't as random as using a generator for 3-5 packs. Other option is to look at the bundles EA has and try to do limited pack builds with those, but the bundles can also feel kind of random imo. (Suggestion based on me coming up with an idea of a recently retired grandma sim who lives in a duplex and rents out the other half to her university student grandkid -- so For Rent, University, and one or two hobby based packs for each of them as the limitations for the build.)
Something i like doing when house is too small is putting some cement floor decor down behind the used portion and making it look like "a housing development construction site"
LilSimsie is worried about the candles, but all I can see are those open paint cans INCHES away from the cream bedspread. 😂 But I live in a studio in real life, sometimes if you want to do something messy like paint you've got to live dangerously!
Thing is, it’s not too small for the lot.. with the garden walls it would have been great to add another build behind for rental eventually in game play ☺️
Anyone else catch the fact that Kayla's gallery is in the future? When she posted the build to the gallery it said "Shared: 1/30/35". Kayla, Time Traveller confirmed!?!?!
It's so cute! There's something I must say, tho: In Mexico, houses always have tiled floors, cause they help keep the house cooler. They basically never use wood, only some rich people do
I prefer to build my Sim (most times i play a household with just one person) a micro home (32 tiles). If you "outsource" (the objects that help to build up skills) on the terrace (either open one or with the main roof above it), it is easy possible. If you use a flat area instead of a roof - so you can use that as an extra terrace - you gain more space . In that case, a ladder is needed on the outside of the house. Oh and for the bathroom i use a 4x4 area, either as a square or 3 and one above the middle one. If my Sim needs a bathtub, i have to place this bathtub somewhere else. Sometimes i attach the flat side of the half-roof (the one that looks like a triangle) to the side of the flat roof. Then i can have a roof over the terrace or prch. And (!) i can drag the top of this half-roof up, so i create a place for the rectangle to let the Sim paint Graffiti on the wall.
I sometimes use roofs as extra space, you can put doors in the flat face of the roof and make it an extra room, but the game does not count it as more tiles. I guess it works like in real life where areas with sloped roof/wall do not count as house area
i usually add a roof, if you do a curved roof there is enough room to add a bed in the "attic space" with a ladder. that way there is a separate bedroom from the living space.
I really like your builds. I was thinking maybe u can build 4 homes on a lot in the new world so more sims live on the same lot. I really also enjoy your ideas for homes, tiny homes, and so much more.
Ok so for the flowering plants under the window, what id do is use those bushes you liked that were too short, but put 2 layers of them. One at ground height, and one raised up once (9 key?), so that it’s taller and not weird looking g
Alright, but let's be for real, in actual houses none of the woods actually match, unless it's like side tables or cabinets...then again my house is weird, so...
This is my first time seeing the stuff from Lovestruck, and I'm seriously considering buying the pack for literally just that tile she used in the bathroom. I've literally been using the same exact tile in different swatches for EVERY SINGLE bathroom I've ever made.
HOW did you do this? I swear, my tiny homes never look like liveable homes, they look like areas in a game that max gameplay….this is honestly adorable!
Question can you make multiple micro homes on one lot and have them as apartments? That would be so cool to have like a tiny living community on one lot.
The fact that my house’s master bathroom is like a bathroom in a sims tiny house….. Sink on one end, shower on the other, toilet in the middle blocking the door. Your knees touch the wall while sitting on it.
