Oh I love that! Maybe he holds rallies and organization meetings for good causes (including one for strong unions) at his house sometimes. And he does comedy routines at fund raiser parties, to fight pollution and other global issues. I can imagine Johnny being a big activist for Sim and animal rights but he's very charming and vulnerable about it because it means a lot to him. THAT'S why he got kicked out!

I'm a bit late to the video, but I had an idea for the look of all the furniture he has. Going off of j.stanley's activist idea, he bought it all from local businesses instead of going with the big name stuff his parents always buy. Not only as a sort of middle finger to them, but also to show their love of new, flashy and mostly lesser quality things.
In one of my playthroughs Johnny Zest ended up becoming a famous comedian, so I built him a huge mansion across from the Landgraabs as a big middle finger to his parents. I absolutely love this guy

There's even one added in our Library that I forgot about which I assume came with Base Game or in an update and I might've deleted at some point while trying to whittle down my library before I gave up (lol since I DL too many lots from the gallery.) I hope he can make them worthwhile and I admit I can't remember if he's done any already lol but also I'm subbed to so many simmers that most of them have a massive backlog I still haven't gone through at this point. 😅
i did a playthrough once, where johnny won a lottery for 1 million simoleons, then got offered to record his standup special (which also skyrocketed his career to level 10), then adopted a child, and on the first day of getting to know his new child, the kid made so many funny jokes that johnny DIED FROM LAUGHTER 😭 most insane thing that's ever happened to me in the sims anyway, this is genuinely one of the best builds i've ever seen!! looks absolutely incredible!

I love Johnny Zest! I was once playing with him grinding out the comedy stuff and he won the lottery! It was amazing! He built a BIG house across the street from his parents, married a nice lady and had loads of kids. And none of them ever spoke to the Landgraabs. Living well is the perfect revenge!
Every play-through I do, Johnny ends up autonomously adopting one kid and living as a single dad. Even if I don't play with his household, I always make sure to renovate his house to have lots of fun activities for him to do with his kiddo.
Loved the storytelling on this lot! I really enjoyed how you kept the trailer aspect of the original EA lot, but gave it a weathered / makeshift contemporary look with lots of entertainment space for Johnny to use.
With the furniture you went for a completely different style from what I'd have expected you to go for, especially considering the absolutely beautiful minimal outside of his home, but as always, everything came together and I absolutely love this. Your idea of Johnny being an entertainer in the double sense (both as a comedian and as a host to his friends) just fits so well and feels so wholesome; this is now - and forever will be - my favourite Johnny Zest home ever. I'll use this in all my saves from now on and treat it as canon. 😊

Omg I love this build!! It looks so cosy and people can easily feel welcomed here, I totally imagine Johnny inviting friends over to do some stand-up gigs and stuff with endless sleepovers (and I agree he's a good-looking sim, most of my Sims end up with him aha)
Ok so I had this movie scene play in my head where you're at a cool chill party in the desert and then Johnny comes over and starts like trying to schmooze you and you think he is some arrogant rich kid that shouldn't be here because he doesn't look like he gives a damn about sustainable living, but then your friend walks past and it turns out they're super close with Johnny and says "i love what you've done with the place" and you are gobsmacked because its actually his home and you realise he is one of the good guys!

The outside is giving me very Joshua Tree vibes. Desert but make it chic but also slightly party but slightly hipster. Totally right for Johnny Zest! But then when you started on the interior, my poor slightly abandoned self almost lost it! I totally started feeling all the feels for a sim who I never cared much about before and you had me properly worrying for their mental wellbeing! Justice for Johnny!!

Johnny is the only in game sim that I actually play with and build up whenever I don't want to make a new sim to play with. He deserves to be the successful comedian he wants to be.

I honestly love this, makes me want to buy all the packs you used that I dont have (specially werewolves and the outdoor camping stuff) i never thought of putting a tree in the middle of the build and just build around it, love it.

I've always felt bad for Johnny Zest, so I gave him a makeover(and made his eyebrows the same color as his hair ffs), made him a gf, and gave them two hairless cats named Spinach and Biscuit, then moved them into an apartment in San Myshuno so that He can pursue his career as a stand-up comedian. I might have him try to reconnect with Malcom and his dad, as I feel that Nancy was the one behind his ousting from the Landgrab clan.

I've always felt bad for Johnny Zest, so I gave him a makeover(and made his eyebrows the same color as his hair ffs), made him a gf, and gave them two hairless cats named Spinach and Biscuit, then moved them into an apartment in San Myshuno so that He can pursue his career as a stand-up comedian. I might have him try to reconnect with Malcom and his dad, as I feel that Nancy was the one behind his ousting from the Landgrab clan.
