  • My dad's Haier mini fridge quit running. We fix things not trash them, and for less than $10 it's now fixed. I hope this helps someone and thank ya.
one thing i did forget to mention is there's a cover over the starter relay. just remove the one screw on the cover to remove it.

I pulled out the relay (pretty easy, mine had the cover over it but just one bolt, easy to remove). The relay did not sound broken, but it apparently was. The replacement with tax was $10 and installed easily and worked. From what I can tell, the P6R8MC number is the part number. I could not find one available with the same number written below P6R8MC but that did not matter.

Yep. FIRST thing to try is one of these inexpensive start capacitors. I'd guess the vast majority of "fridge or freezer quit" problems are right there. I use the Supcro brand (a universal type based on the HP size) rather than trying to get an actual OEM replacement part, which is hard to find in a lot of cases.

My unit has same P6R8MC but the OR0603 number is different… is a Haier mini Fridge with LG compressor
    My other overload seems
To be rusted too but cannot get any numbers off it

A few weeks ago, I noticed it had defrosted. There was no sound of the compressor running. I looked this problem up and a number of results suggested replacing the start relay and / or overload.
I ordered replacement parts, and they have now arrived, however I have misplaced the photograph I took of the original wiring.
The start relay is a 3 pin relay
Could someone please advise on how this should be wired?
The brown and blue pair of wires both came from what looks like a capacitor box. The blue and white wires appear to come from what I believe to be a thermostat box, which is then connected to the mains.
