This song still gives me goosebumps, even after listening to it over 1000 times. The best thing about this song is that it gets better every time you listen to it

The whole - the work album was like that. After a few listens it just keeps getting better.
I do have to say that owls is still better 😬🖤

If you’re gonna react to a song by rivers of Nihil, it needs to be “The silent life” significantly different than this or the recent single, and I’m fairly positive you’d enjoy that one.

Void is such an incredible song.
I'm surprised you didn't react, or see reactions to Where Owls Know My Name. Tank did one, and I've seen you in his reactions. That is a great song really fun video.
If you decide to try Rivers again, I'd suggest that if you want their old vocalist.
Or, Sub Orbital Blues if you want to try something else from their new lineup. I like Sub Orbital more than Hellbirds.

This is my favorite song of all time. One thing to remember though is that their albums always have a theme, so far its been seasons, as well as other stories going on throughout. Hellbirds (and sub-orbital blues) are just stand alone singles. They arent for an album those 2 songs are just to show the new lineup and there are 2 more coming before a full album next year. The next album will have a theme and all too and i feel like they write better when its all a big story.

I literally commented this song on your hellbirds video. This is one of my favourite songs in metal of all time. An absolute masterpiece. I remember seeing them live in aarschot years ago. When they judt released their monarchy album. The vocalist was behind the merch table amd he was the nicest guy. Too bad he had to quit.

I think I’ve commented multiple times trying to get you to do more of them. They’re so good! Glad you’ve done more with them now. Sub-orbital blues by them is groovy!

You absolutely have to react to “A Silent Life” by these fine gentlemen next!! It is from their album “Where Owls know my name”. That whole album is magnificent, but that song is their best imo.

  • @deathcold_longplaysua4846
    @deathcold_longplaysua4846 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Man, how TF did I missed this song! Because like I thought that this one is another metal with melodic touch to it, but when I heard saxophone I literally got chills. I wish that more metal bands do something so creative by sounding heavy but also melodic and with different instruments that you least think about.

Ahhhh... Rivers! I have never hated prog stuff, but I've certainly never loved a prog band like I love Rivers of Nihil either; they're such an experience IMO. I have all 4 albums to date and didn't know until your video that Jake had to step away, what a loss, the guy is an awesome performer.

Great band, maybe not a good direction they’re headed in. But for me, their most underrated song is “Death is Real.” For newbies, the video for “Where Owls Know My Name” Is an absolute must.

  • @HenryRuins

Apparently the song Hellbirds was written for this album but was left out because the band felt it didn't fit the album sound wise

Yea, their latest song didn't anything for me.. I didn't like it at all, but their old discography is great. This song and the "Where's owls know my name" album and song is incomparable to their latest single.

Well, you fucked up. Should have went with their song "Old Nothing" or anything from the Monarchy album. Everything after "Where Owls Know My Name" is not good.
