Saw this live today, cannot express how fucking cool it was. If you want a super aggressive track, go for "MORE?". If you want a fairly long, varied masterpiece, go for "Suble change".
That shift in the middle, and the addition of the sax took me completely by surprise. Then, back they go, right into the heavy stuff. I agree that the lead singer has a real presence about him. I enjoyed this one.
I hope you see this! Check out "The Sub-Orbital Blues" by this band. They parted with their lead vocalist in 2022 but Biggs, the bassist took over the vocal duties and... The band might sound even better as a result. Plus, their love of 60-80s prog runs rich through their music and there's some fantastic moments in "The Sub-Orbital Blues." HIGHLY recommend that track and video. Also, if no one else mentioned it, it sounds like "Rivers of Nile." Cheers!
You seem to be reacting to a lot of my favorite bands lately, so I thought I would suggest another one for you. Allegaeon has so many great songs, but I would recommend checking out "Threshold of Perception" "Grey Matter Mechanics" "Of Beasts and Worms" and "Into Embers". Enjoy!
These guys are so good. Absolutely love them. Their song Subtle Change is probably my favorite. The Void From Which No Sound Escapes is a close second.
Where Owls Know my Name is one of the greatest metal albums ever made. Great reaction too. Check out the title track or Subtle Change. Mind blowing shit here.
Rivers of Nihil is great, I'm glad you checked them out, Cosmic! I would also like to echo Where Owls Know My Name. If you liked the sax in this song then my dude you're in for a treat
So i won't bore you again with "not my type" comments, let me tell you what i did like. That entrance sounded almost punk! The singer while growling or guttrral i could still understand most of what he said. That drummer and bass were superb. The sax was unexpected as was the jazz groove, i loved it nice touch. Any band incorporates that or brass has my ❤ and 👂 right away. Nicely done guys i did enjoy a good deal of this song, musically solid as well. Txs Cosmic ❤ & ✌️ all!
Something interesting about the lead singer is he wears hearing aids because he's partially deaf and speaks with a lisp but his diciton while performing is so unique and awesome.
I don’t say this lightly, but “Where Owls Kniw My Name” is possibly the greatest metal album of the last decade. My other pick would be Fallujah “Dreamless”
th-cam.com/video/dzo-SQYRNio/w-d-xo.html The main vocalist left a long time ago and the bassist now took that position, another vocalist and guitarist arrived and they released this song, it's like the new beginning of the band, I like it, it's a new, fresh air and it completely suits it
"Where Owls Know My Name" was such a magnificent album! Truly a fresh and welcomed breath of air to the scene.

Right, I remember I never liked growls in metal and then I heard Opeth...that changed me
If you like sax in metal, do yourself a huge favour and listen to Floating on a murmuring tide by the band In Vain.
BEST SAX METAL SONG EVER !
These guys are just so good all the time. The void from which no sound escapes is probably my favorite track overall
Great band - you should also check out "Where Owls Know My Name" "Clean" and "The Void From Which No Sound Escapes"
I plan too, this band was awesome!

Gonna give my opinion, they sounded better with their old vocalist, but BY FAR the best song since their singer left is Sub-Orbital blues.
The deep chugging
the background dissonance
THE DRUMS
The constant assaults from the bass
The Sax
This Band has it fucking all

ya, there was alot of flow and vibe that was great. I didnt feel the need to listen to them all week. But still, solid music.

you gotta do "Where Owls Know My Name" the official video is the best!
I actually have that on my list
This entire album is amazing
You're only 4 years late to the party! 😅 Your reaction was pretty much the same as mine. "A Home" put me over the top.
Lol I been late to lots of parties haha
@TheWolffAndTheMelody I'm late to this party but react to 200 Stab Wounds! Recently checked them out and they're hard af!

I need to pick up that album.

It was less than a year ago, I wouldn't say "a long time."
@@5PctJuice yes, I said it wrong and now I realized hahaha
