Demo play YAMAHA SILENT SESSION DRUM DTXPRESS IV by pro drummer The form of cymbals are very real and a snarepad is very sensitive! This kits can be play minus one part for practice.
I Think this kit is really good...Of course an E-drumm will never sound as good as an acoustic one, neither you'll get the same feeling. But an e-drumm is just excelent for people who lives in a tiny apartment, like myself, for begginers, for practice, etc. Not mentioning that they have some really cool features. You can have dozens of kits in one single drum
electric guitar OK, electric keyboard OK, electric drums people have a problem with? wtf. why am i reading comments like "why would you want electric drums?" and its obvious they know nothing of music. because for me, having my kit change sounds and give me so many options for recording is a great tool for a percussionist and musician. plus is SO much fun to jam out with 50 different drum sets, not just one.
The Hi Hat on this kit is the V1, you probably have the V2 (I have the V2 - the hi-hat actually moves like a real one) - make sure you're plugging the hi hat control cable in, and to the correct socket, and all should be ok.. it worked fine from the box for me!
yeah but i hope i will keep it!! i like the look of yamahas much more, with a real hi hat, stand, and big cymbals :) but im pretty sure i can tune them to sound just like rolands.
I know, I'm not too sure about this kit now. Playing a steady ride pattern (as shown with the first example) would seem to be a dead giveaway that it was an electronic kit to the listener.
i said the same!! but then i saw a video where the cymbals sounded better, i asked the person who uploaded it, he said you could tune them, and get the sound you wanted.. I just bought a dtxpress iv special, and i hate theese sounds, hope i can tune them..
Why would you want an electric set?? Because 1. The really good ones are just as reliable as an acoustic set. 2. You can plug them in and use really nice sounding drum samples for them. 3. They can be space saving. 4. Not everybody has the money to buy mics and a soundboard to record an acoustic set. I personally love acoustics but electrics are totally a Godsend in many cases.
I think that's too bad the fact that the MP3 compression used for this video is blurring the bass and treble,it just doesn't do any justice to the sound especially the drum and bass kit.
I have just bought one! I love it. I am having trouble programing the high hat. Yours doesn't move but you still get the open and closed sound. Any help please. I have mine rigged like a normal high hat. Thank you in advance
i prefer the rolands cymbals and toms!! but yamahas kick and snare and hi hat, is so much better, its a great set with many features, i think you should buy it, you get more for the money with yamaha, than roland
I can't wait until the day an Electric drum set can perfectly simulate a DW Maple VLX collectors, down to the last resonation of the shell in the middle of a rudiment. Until that day, I'm sticking with Acoustics.
Man, i cant decide between this one and roland td3 with all mesh..i think ill go with roland, but do u guys think its better to have real hi hat stand and extra cymbal, or is it better to have mesh pads..
Saying something like "more realistic sounds" just doesn't make sense. You can't get differing degrees of realistic. Yamaha is the underdog but I sat behind the dtxpress4 and td9 an I prefer the yamaha. I've even bought one. Its all about opinion and you just can't come up with silly arguments like that to prove you're right. A lot of it is to do with the feel of it and everyone will feel differently. I've never posted something like this and I never will again but at least its off my chest now
Yh it was good drum playing and no one is perfect dude, but dowler949 be carful about telling people to spel properly, because im dyslexic and i get really offended when im trying to say something and people laugh at my speling
You're saying fuck e-drums to someone with a decent investment in an e-drum kit because there's no way, EVER, with all the pads and pillows in the world, I would be able to play in my condo without bothering neighbors. I'm really sorry you don't like the fact that some people are happier with e-drums despite their lack of the acoustic sound range. Of course I like acoustic better, I especially hate E symbols, but also love them because I can hit them as hard as I want at 2 in the morning.
but acoustic drum is acoustic drum :) Fuck electronic :D Even its cheaper, and you can buy good set of mics and drums for money you would give for same class edrum :) :D
Are you kidding me? The low tier roland cymbals suck, they can't even be triggered all the way around. They might sound better, but they sure as hell don't feel better.

I got a Dtxpress III kit a 6 pce a few months ago. Has x2 floor toms. Bought an amplifier too. Great fun.
Awesome. That's the most help I've ever gotten from TH-cam.

@544king that's the old version the version 2 has the hi hat that opens and closes by moving up and down properly
DnB is sick!!!
Got one of these to my birthday...
Danzibar. Thank you for that help. The leads are ok. I am looking at the settings too. Thanks again.. Darren

its actualy the special set, the realistic hi hat and extra cybal gives it away as does the brain :P sexy peice of kit, i have one :P
@ericasw28 he's satoshi bandoh. at the age of 24 (ish) he joined the legendary japanese band t-square. this guy is a champ.
3:46 STREETS OF RAGE FTW haha almost like it!!
Jay it’s 3:46
i couldn't agree no more! Looking for one.
Great kit...

Looks like him. The anime hair, and the traditional stick grip. It might be him.
the drum and bass one owned

Great sound!!
nice!!
@Intrusive124 This one is much better than the HD-1 so I suggest to buy this one instead.
Nice! I like it!

I got one, yes, its a pretty good think. feels real
Красиво,душевно )))
I like the Roland drums more but they cost like twice as much! This kit maybe costs as much as a roland td-6.
wow, this dude's obviously really into playing latin because that last song was awesome.
i prefer the rolands cymbals and toms!! but yamahas kick and snare and hi hat, is so much better, its a great set with many features, i think you should buy it, you get more for the money with yamaha, than roland
i cant wait to buy this kit!
its expensive:S
but it totally worth it
Oh its Satoshi Bandoh who is playing the demo.
I'm realy hesitating between This and the TD-4! (But I don't have that much mony for this one!).
wow thanks
nyc
Yamaha rules!
wow man you'r good
@lepexi and you can play in an apartment without neighbors complaining! nothing like having loud noise ruin an otherwise good drum session
I know that. I'm asking if there's any way to have the sound last longer per hit.
i have edrum home for practise, but with band, only acoustic sonor 2007 :)
is this the special version? cymbal already comes like his or you bought it separatedly?
I can't wait until the day an Electric drum set can perfectly simulate a DW Maple VLX collectors, down to the last resonation of the shell in the middle of a rudiment. Until that day, I'm sticking with Acoustics.
hey i would check out the roland td-4
the cymbals are waaaaaaay better and it just came out
thanks ;D i meant that the snare feeling is so bad on this roland. Its ffeels just like rubber, and dont have many levels
Roland TD-20 FTW.... I bought a set today :P
Love to know the setting for this kit. Is there any way I can either download or get them otherwise?
Man, i cant decide between this one and roland td3 with all mesh..i think ill go with roland, but do u guys think its better to have real hi hat stand and extra cymbal, or is it better to have mesh pads..
At 2.00 is mean! Drum and bass!
does the cymbals comes like that or you bought a separated one?
Can anything be done about how short the cymbal sound is?
i hava a basic dtxpress IV drum set, can i upgrade it to special, or should i buy a new drum set? thanks already!
:39 = SICK.
what do you thinks better, roland or yahmaha for elec. drumsets, reply
2020 boiii
Except the kick , SessionMastr is one of the best!
Nice, ok thanks.

Why would you have two electronic sets?
it's satoshi bandoh, t-square drummer..
overall great sounds. but i heard some crosstalk
Trying to learn that thing at :41-:43
I.E : Cymbals just last for 1 second. They should last more than just that!
how much is this electronic drum set
How do you lengthten the decay?
Agreed this cant be beat. I have this and I live in a small apt. With headphones it's perfect.
how, much would this cost?
Elaborate?
this guy looks like he jumped out a manga comic book. funnk style !
(no offense, just fun look)
Yeah, there's almost no decay and even less sustain!
Yh it was good drum playing and no one is perfect dude, but dowler949 be carful about telling people to spel properly, because im dyslexic and i get really offended when im trying to say something and people laugh at my speling
lol oops i guess thats his brother
@ericasw28 LOLZ!!!!!!!!
hes not bad at all dude he has more vids of better playing i think i remmember watchin them lol
he kinda looks like MJ
i prefer roland but it has got 3 zone cymbals and hi hat is much better not a fuckin frisbee like my roland cy5
its the complete other way round, this guy's amazing, the kit's shit.
It's incredible to see Yamaha dares to release a drumkit in 2011 that sounds so crappy. It's an insult to every drummer.

Roland realy has more realistic sounds. these cymbals here sounds so artificial god!!. try V-drums guys.
You're talking to yourself O_O.
aparently startin of on a electric kit isnt good for ure joints
tocas muy bien sin embargo ese toque del principio lo ago mejor
Then why contradict my comment in the first place lol. Geez.
BAAD DRUMMER!
Huh?

but acoustic drum is acoustic drum :) Fuck electronic :D Even its cheaper, and you can buy good set of mics and drums for money you would give for same class edrum :) :D
ひでーおとだ・・・

tocas muy bien pero llo soy mejor k tu
Are you kidding me? The low tier roland cymbals suck, they can't even be triggered all the way around. They might sound better, but they sure as hell don't feel better.
great hardware, great playing skill, pathetic sounds
DO NOT BUY THIS BY A ROLAND ITS MUCH BETTER!!! Yamaha sounds sucks!
sounds awful. Yamaha cheap sounds
CYMBALS SUCKS....
