  • Scott Brady - adventure traveler extraordinaire, photographer and CEO of Overland Journal International and so much more! He has made a significant impact in the world of Overland Expeditions and ignited the inner explorer in many fellow overlanders, globally.
    He shares what sparked his love for travel and how he began….. how his years of incredible experiences - highs and lows have impacted and shaped his life today. Scott offers a simple approach to getting started, if you have a thirst for travel and you think you have to have all “the stuff”…
    He also asks a soul-searching question that requires us all to go inside and ask ourselves “what is enough”!
    Scott you are an inspiration, a trail blazer and we thank you for sharing your human essence with us!

    Great interview. I love listening to Scott’s podcast, such a humble, down to earth guy. I have learned so much by just listening to him and his guests. In a culture / industry which is heavily driven by “ego”, Scott is truly a class act who genuinely embraces the essence of overlanding.

    Great insight in the the world of consumerism & the consumer society, which I acknowledge is ultimately unsustainable at the current rate. Don't think sitting in front of a flash & very expensive Grenadier helped re-enforce his point.

    Wise, wise words from a knowledgeable man. So very important to know when it is or what is enough ! To some extent I know exactly what he is talking about - after 4 Land Rovers and one Range Rover I now use a Jimny ! It is enough for me and is all I need. Although I sometimes still WANT a Landy the Jimny is what I need .. .. .. .. enough now ! A great episode Jo !!

    Outstanding presentation with depth. Giving people thoughts to lead them. I had a thirty year career in the military. Got experiences that I never would have. Older now wishing I would have pursued more travel . Later life brings its physical challenges. My Mother asked me toward the end of her transition, what was left I wanted to do. I said drive to Alaska--She said, "go now." Time and tendons should still give flexibility to find the waterfalls and canyons still there. I just need to pack, plan and GO. Thank you for a great video. I am one of your subscribers and love the magazine.

    You use the word "ignorant" a lot. I think that's a little harsh. Especially when others in the same situations as you are in or have been are listening and might equate their similar experiences as you as "ignorant". "Unaware" or "not yet experienced" might be better suited. Technically everyone is ignorant of something I guess but if the ambition is to experience and learn with objectiveness and no bias then I wouldn't consider that ignorant. Either way tho.

    • @mackirkpatrick3997
      @mackirkpatrick3997 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I disagree, because the definition of ignorant is "lacking knowledge or awareness in general", it is not a put down. And we are ALL ignorant in some way since no one can possibly know everything.
