Lovely video! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you! I'm ordering one now. :)
Hope you like it!
Thats clever thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks for watching!
How about a video showing the best options for boards used to nail down the leaded piece. No one talks about this and I don’t know if plywood is good or should I use a solid wood. I would love a lightweight, inexpensive substrate. Love your videos.
Ok... Will do!
Good demonstration, Sophie. Cheers
Thanks!
Great videos as usual.
Thank you!
Hi Sophie, have you done a video where you demonstrate sharpening your lead knives? I have an ancient sharpening stone but either it doesn't work or I don't know how to use it properly, as my knives just squash the lead and so I just use shears and nippers.
It suspect the blades are stainless steel which take longer to sharpen generally. I confess I've never tried. I have a stone for my chisels. I'll see if I can dig it out and have a go...interesting.
Just come across your channel and love your videos. I'm very new to stained glass making, about 2 months. I have a lead nipper (or lead dyke) and the shop I ordered from was out of lead knife at the time I ordered my kit. How do these 2 lead cutting tools compare? I'm making some suncatchers and small panels using both copper foil and lead came methods. Do you think it's worth it for me to also get a lead knife?
This is my video comparing lead cutters: th-cam.com/video/m_KhzPWT0Mw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=JnJuHbX2we-58lJF
I'd say you could get away without a traditional one.
Thank you Sophie, how do you sharpen your knife
You can use a stone to sharpen your knife.
👍🏻😊💃
