Love your hair like this. I have always believed black and brown go together, for reference I'm 43; I love that faux leather dress with black/brown/white color blocks.
I loved that dress too - so unique and thank you for your kind words about my hair. I'm def trying to mix it up a little with my styling - I'm usually so boring lol x
I’m definitely getting in to the black and brown together after seeing it on Tibi videos. Wouldn’t have thought to put those colours together and I think it looks great 😊 I am also belting the oversized blazers. I have some great men’s thrifted blazers which are much better quality and a great price so coveted items in my wardrobe. Thank you for sharing your insights in to fashion/clothing.
Diane Keaton has led the way of belting blazers, jackets and coats for a decade or more. What's new with the current trend is that the fronts of the blazers are wrapped over each other. Even double breasted jackets are overlapped beyond the points where the buttons would have met their originally intended buttonholes. Then the belt to hold the wrap in place. Proportions as flattering as a Von Furstenberg wrap dress. I love mixing browns with pale blues, pinks, purples, oranges etc. I like the idea of a brown/black mix of accessories but not a mix of black and brown main garments. I wore too much black back in the day and it was never flattering. Black and brown in accessories, however , adds deeper contrast and interest. Reds, burgundy and oranges, peaches and dusty rose look terrific and modern when mixed together. I love it., All great ideas in the video. Thanks for the ideas and inspiration.
I have always paired black & shades of brown. I especially love black & tan (camel) or black & caramel (warm brown) I also really like blue & brown combinations.
I was lucky to find a burgundy good size leather slouchy bag last month for £8 in a charity shop and don’t have that colour so was happy to add to my outfits this spring.
I always like a shirt in summer as the third layer like a jacket. Cotton or denim works well. I don’t like to show my arms. Going through my jewelry and have some awesome bangles! Love Bordeaux so rich and has longevity 🦋
Love Black and Brown and have worn it for years! Brown is less harsh than black, so I often wear a cool, neutral brown on the top with black on the bottom half.
I really like brown and black together, but not for spring/summer, but more for autumn and winter. Now in spring I really prefer lighter colours! I generally put away all my dark colours and get them out again in september/october.
I quite like black and brown together especially a dark chocolate brown. I've never liked black and navy together though! I love the short sleeved denim shirts. I had already bought one a few weeks ago so good to hear that I'm on trend! I hate the leopard print trousers though!
Thanks Leonie....I really like black and brown and enjoyed all the quirky trends you presented. The lucite bracelets are the best. I ordered a white one and the cream trio. Thanks for all the updates. Your channel is one of the best....thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your new video Leonie. A fun theme with a lot of great trends. My favorite is the denim bag and I still waiting for the Chanel CC just in two-tone denim to come back in production. /Marie from Sweden
I am definitely excited about wearing socks with my sandals and heeled shoes. I already did it from necessity when I went to get my pedicure for the season and it decided to get really cold, and I wore sandal to protect my polish, but I ended up getting for the first-time gel polish and my toes could not take the cold and luck for me I had brought some socks. I have some old school denim handbags and one tote from back in the day and I have to laugh that they all new with tags because I bought them because I liked them but back then you had to match the denim wash you were wearing, and I never could. I even have way back denim shoes from the 80s. What I probably won't be wearing is animal print pants for Spring/Summer because it seems more like a Fall/Winter vibe for me. I have always been a large tote bag lady because I always carrying a lot around ever since my first child was born and they became my kitchen sink carrier. Burgundy is a fav for me but my mind again go to the colder months when it comes to wearing this color. I just got a clearance sweater wrap dress from Nostrom rack in this color, saving for colder months to come.
It's funny you say that about large totes Denise. It took me years after my "babies" grew up to stop lugging around a large tote everywhere I went LOL x
Oooh...love the idea of a denim bag. I'm looking to buy a new bag for summer. Think I will look for a denim bag. I've always loved wearing brown and have been wearing brown and black for years. For me though, brown and black is more for fall. Coming from a winter climate, I spend more than half the year in dark colors so will leave the brown/black combo for fall.
Hello, Great video as always! I love the dress/top you have on in this video! Could you please share with me where you bought it from? Thank you. Have a wonderful weekend!
I always love my Chanel denim tote. It’s nice of casual and ease in summer. Brown/black: depends on the hue, shade and texture, tan camel cinnamon could work on inky pewter midnight starky color
I like burgundy instead right now but I did find a red channel inspired quilted flap bag and red lipstick..I love denim right now but large totes are not for me if they are oversized however I love my structured denim mini Dempsey 22 tote and my tory burch mcgraw bucket bag instead 😊
I don’t really have any brown, besides accessories, but I can get ok with black and brown together. Why not? I’m not sure I’m enamoured with any of the other potential trends. Maybe a leopard print skirt instead of pants 🤔
This is the protein I add to all of my smoothies and smoothie bowls: pvl.com/collections/proteins/products/isogold-sport-5-lbs Is this the one you wanted Linda?
Never understood putting black & brown together as a 'faux pas'. Really? Or socks with Mary Janes. But sandals & socks on the other hand, don't get me started. lol.
Denim totes, e.g. Levi's yes, denim bags not for me. I wear metallic silver socks with black suede 40's style platform heel sandals, I would not wear socks with flat sandals and never white socks. Another sexy sock to wear would be sheer black socks, as seen on the catwalk (I think it was Prada/Miu Miu). Denim shirt with short sleeves and plain/boxy looking, not for me. I'll stick to my gorgeous Zara fitted long sleeve denim shirts, they have amazing stitching and look like a lighter fabric version of the classic denim trucker jacket, I find the new denim shirts way too plain and unflattering. I also love denim shirt dresses, the skirt equivalent of jumpsuits and easier to wear as we're going towards summer, also a great monochrome outfit. I wear my denim shirt dresses with a graphic t-shirt underneath and several buttons undone so you can see the t-shirt. I have a wonderful collection of graphic Ts but I have become more conscious of my flabby arms (I'm 58) and almost donated all my t-shirts to charity until I came up with this way of wearing them - arms covered but the graphic still visible. #Restyle, rewear, relove
When someone says "sandals 🩴 and socks 🧦" I immediately think of two possibilities: either 80 year-old grandad in July or Scandinavian tourist visiting Greece for the first time. It's a big no-no.
Leopard print is actually a timeless classic. It was very fashionable in the 1950s and ever since. However, I would not necessarily wear the print in pants, but pretty much everything else! Try it in a pair of pointy toe ballet flats or even a pump. So chic, especially when you're wearing just a plain outfit with neutral colors. I am in my 70s, and my daughters are in their fifties, and we all wear leopard print😊
Flashy trends are for the young people who deserve to define their generation with their own style and icons. These flash in the pan ideas are fine for anyone under 30 (honestly anyone 25 to 30 is pushing it) but after that they are not stylish and look contrived and like you are trying too hard. After 30 we should be able to define our style and showing some class in our clothing choices. That doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy new clothes but we need to cut out the fast fashion cycle. Seeing anyone middle aged and dressing trendy (yes people with ankle socks and sandals, I am looking at you) is just cringe worthy. Stay classy and beautiful like youself!
Quirky trends, wearable trends, fix your outfits, looking polished, those are appropriate titles. Please stay away from “don’t look old and frumpy” - it’s really offensive and ageist to label other women in this way. I like your content so far…
Always loved black and brown together ...specially chocolate brown with black.
Love your heart shaped plant ❤ next to the bed 😊
You look lovely, your hair color and the fushia top suit you👍
Thank you so much Ingrid 🙂
Will not be wearing sandals with socks namely because I've lectured my husband (of 52 years of marriage) that doing so, is a no-no .... lol!
Has he stopped though? Lol
😂
😂
😂
😂😂
I've always loved the black and brown combination. It reminds me of leopard print color wise.
I'm wearing the combination of black and brown since years. Love that it's a trend now 😊
I've been wearing brown & black together for years now. The combination is beautiful & warm
Love your hair like this. I have always believed black and brown go together, for reference I'm 43; I love that faux leather dress with black/brown/white color blocks.

Love black and brown, was wearing it way back in the 90’s (I would dress to match my Doberman ❤😊

Socks and sandals is going to be used as an example down the road as how it chops your legs and makes them look short. Love black and brown combo!
Black and brown is so elegant. I love that combination. Btw your hair looks beautiful with the soft waves. ❤❤❤
Love your hair today💜
Thank you so much 😀

Wow! You seem so knowledgeable about style and pairings. I want to be like you 😂❤
Your support means a lot! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and share your thoughts.
I have always paired black & shades of brown. I especially love black & tan (camel) or black & caramel (warm brown) I also really like blue & brown combinations.
Black and brown worn together looks quite smart.. have been doing so for a while
Black and brown and black and navy too. Huge nope to socks and sandals. Denim bags sound fun for sure!
I haven't yet tried the black and brown together. But I do like it. And I want to try the belted blazer. Ty so much.
I love black and brown together. Have been wearing them forever. Suits, shoes, bags, you name it, I have had them in black and brown,
Lovely!
My Mom wore black and brown all her life ( she's 90 ) so I do the same . Great vid .
Perfect 👌🏽
I was lucky to find a burgundy good size leather slouchy bag last month for £8 in a charity shop and don’t have that colour so was happy to add to my outfits this spring.
Oh wow!
The only brown garment I have is a brown and black gingham dress and I actually like it!
I always like a shirt in summer as the third layer like a jacket. Cotton or denim works well. I don’t like to show my arms. Going through my jewelry and have some awesome bangles! Love Bordeaux so rich and has longevity 🦋
Yay Denise x
Love Black and Brown and have worn it for years! Brown is less harsh than black, so I often wear a cool, neutral brown on the top with black on the bottom half.
Loving your hair and coloured shirt! The socks and sandals look, I’ll leave to my husband lol!

Thanks for your new video Leonie. A fun theme with a lot of great trends. My favorite is the denim bag and I still waiting for the Chanel CC just in two-tone denim to come back in production. /Marie from Sweden
Hey Marie, thanks for tuning in! The denim bag is a solid choice. Let's hope that Chanel brings back your favorite two-tone denim CC soon!
I am definitely excited about wearing socks with my sandals and heeled shoes. Hello,
Great video as always! I love the dress/top you have on in this video! Could you please share with me where you bought it from? Thank you. Have a wonderful weekend!
Thank you and sadly it's a top and pants from a local brand called Ketz-Ke that I bought a couple of years ago - sorry :(
@@Thestyleinsider. Thank you so much for getting back with me. You're so kind!
I always love my Chanel denim tote. It’s nice of casual and ease in summer. Brown/black: depends on the hue, shade and texture, tan camel cinnamon could work on inky pewter midnight starky color
The color of your top is beautiful on you
Your hair looks so pretty!!what a beautiful color on you!
Thank you so much Melinda!!
I think black only looks good with beige or tan. Otherwise you can run the risk of looking like a muddy puddle !
great video. love your info. btw loving your hair, you look pretty.
Thank you so much! 😀
Love black and brown as well as black and navy. I'm French. That's one of our things. 😊
I cannot do the socks with sandals. I am able to do back and brown though.
I like burgundy instead right now but I did find a red channel inspired quilted flap bag and red lipstick..I love denim right now but large totes are not for me if they are oversized however I love my structured denim mini Dempsey 22 tote and my tory burch mcgraw bucket bag instead 😊

Can you tell me where you got what you are wearing? Best color ever!
Please tell me what top you are wearing in this vid. Thanks!
Sadly it’s a couple of years old 😭
Great video and love your hair! 🤩🇺🇸💛
Thank you so much 😀
I don’t really have any brown, besides accessories, but I can get ok with black and brown together. Why not? I’m not sure I’m enamoured with any of the other potential trends. Maybe a leopard print skirt instead of pants 🤔
Too old for the socks and sandals 👡 🩴 . If the Men can’t do it, neither can we 😩😬🫣😆. I love your content. Love all the trends.
Good point! x
Leonie, in one of your videos, you talked about your protein powder... What's the name of it, and where do you purchase it? 😊
This is the protein I add to all of my smoothies and smoothie bowls: pvl.com/collections/proteins/products/isogold-sport-5-lbs Is this the one you wanted Linda?
I don't like brown colors on me, or beige/off-white colors. So I do gray and crisp bright white as my neutrals, alongside black, navy, and burgundy.
❤
Love wearing socks with my sandals and platforms. 😊
Yay!
Is Square Space better than Shopify
I've only had a little play with Shopify sorry but I find Squarespace much easier to navigate :)
Sorry, not into the leopard print pant. But that’s the thing about personal style, there is always something for everyone 😊
Zara had such cute denim bag, but when I decided I wanted it, it was sold out. Devastated 😂
If your in Europe Dunnes stores have a lovely one cheap too!
They often restock items.
Black w/brown…..depends on the shade of brown. Bronzed brown or light tan-ish brown, yes. Dark brown, probably not.
You're looking beautiful today
Thank you 😊

You look greous on this purple bluse
Do you recommend a yt channel for 30 style?
Socks…😂😂😂😂
I take it that's not your vibe lol x
I don’t care for lepird pants sorry I would get a leopard blouse before I would get a pants
When someone says "sandals 🩴 and socks 🧦" I immediately think of two possibilities: either 80 year-old grandad in July or Scandinavian tourist visiting Greece for the first time. It's a big no-no.
Black- brown = black - navy!😂 not for me😜🇿🇦
Leopard flare leggings,, um no not for me.
Open, my mind? You can do a lobotomy I ain't wearing socks and sandals.
LOL x Oh and I wouldn't do that x
Who knew socks and sandals could be so controversial? Thanks for the chuckle!
Don’t understand the appeal of denim? It’s just very blue collar, working class.
Cannot do the leopard print trend, it’s not suitable for everyone. I did it in my 20’s but not in my 50’s.

Socks and sandals make me cringe😮
EEEK!
No no no Socks with sandals
You should t not wear sandals with socks it looks so silly
