What a highly intelligent and insightful man Larry is......He never ceases to be interesting. Thank you both 👍
Love listening to Larry
ME TOO!
> Joining the Amen Chorus here - Thanks guys so much, Brian and Larry, both of you! In a previous interview with you guys, Larry made the Observation that, if Neural Nets and Cameras, indeed, are the way forward - with v12, we will see acceleration in FSD pace of Improvement! I am now seeing this acceleration in improvement. Introducing v12, 26Aug23, Elon & Ashok pointed out that v12 is “Cameras & Neural Nets all the way baby.” I believe the ‘Stuff of v12’ is the way forward, and that now puts Realization of FSD on the horizon for me.
> I so look forward to realization of FSD (can’t wait to get v12), but . . . now comes government, and the huge questions: Who’s driving (at any given moment), who’s liable and how do we handle insurance?? BUT, as we begin to find the Way Forward, FIRST, as FSD proves itself 10x, 100x, and more times safer than humans, FIRST let’s get very clear, and never forget, that that the COST of holding up FSD Adoption will be measurable in Loss of Human Life!
Larry talks so much sense 🎯
Larry has forgotten more things than most of us will ever be lucky enough to learn.
Eh
I was heavily invested in S&P and BRK/B in 2019. I sold all my BRK (my largest holding at the time), and some VOO to buy into TSLA. It worked out well.
I missed the Amazon and Google run ups, and really, really didn't want to miss the next one.
Top spot. Awesome pairing.
Enjoying a vacation but my morning still starts with the Tesla folks. Good morning!
Morning! This is just how we do it. Welcome!
Outstanding discussion. Thank you Larry & Brian.
Our pleasure!
Cheers guys
I’ve been an Tesla investor before M3 and holding until around 2030. 😊 I’ve learned to buy when significant price drop, it seems to rebound after a quarter or two.
Fascinating discussion by Larry about his investment approaches. I followed a similar investment trajectory and invested a modest $10k in both Tesla and Google at IPO and have held on to both stocks for the duration, and have been very satisfied with the success of both stocks to date with Tesla by far doing the best. I have no intention of selling any TSLA stock any time soon given how strong Tesla fundamentals look going forward.
Will this translate in a higher stock price long term? I hope so!
My first purchase of TSLA was pre split I think it was $740 per share...I have had BRK-B since 2000 and continue to hold it. It has done very well and I am sure will continue to do so. I still have my original shares of Disney I bought in 1995.
Anyone notice last week Figure AI was started up with Jeff Bazos, Nvidia,.
Amazon, Microsoft, Intel ,Samsung, Open AI and investment companies all partnered to build humanoid working robots
This dream team will highly lively pass Tesla to market and sell before Tesla bots.
Very nice talk, you guys. I enjoyed every minute of it. See you on the ffflipitty-flop or whatever 😂
Thanks guys been buying the dips below $200
Hello FutureAZA, I would like hear Mr Goldberg though about the possible "merger" between GM and Rivian Automotive, Inc.?
Thank you Mr. Goldberg for your intelligent observations. It's such a delight to listen to you.
Afternoon guys
I'm in tsla now at 187 dca as things get silly
Wow, I don’t see the ICE whiners commenting on how good this is, cheaper to hire an EV than an ICE plus far cheaper to run too !. Nice one, more please
My mate Sam says it like a blood bath in China at the moment with all the different brands of cars I think Sam said it was 91 different ones
As expected, the number of automakers in China is decreasing. Only the strongest will survive.
👍
I almost didn't click this video. Boy would that have been a mistake.
Larry is an absolute gem. Love that guy!
You’re not bad either Brian 🫶🏽
@@FutureAZAyou’re not bad either Bry 🫶🏽
Brian can be Larry in 30-40 years ; )
I owe TSLA a lot.

Great point… name another company like Tesla…. There really are none.

The TOP 10 electric vehicles you can buy from China
The Electric Viking
Electric White Monkey more like. Why else would he omit the unofficial boycott of Korean products in China after the THAAD deployment as a/the reason for Hyundai Motor Group's decimation of sales in China?
This is just the tip of the Goldberg
China is 3,705,407 square miles, 9,596,960 square kilometers, and 2,371,460,480 acres in total size. These measurements make the country the fourth largest in the entire world, behind Russia, Canada, and the United States of America.
Damn a lot of haters in the comments. Ppl think electrification of transportation and energy is a failure if its not done in 3 years.
YOU SAID TO TALK ABOUT TESLA PROGITS-Nut-TALK OF EVERYTHING ELSE
Breathe, my friend it's a conversation.
An Artis SEES something before There-But-an Elon-Genius PRODUCES things before they existed
All right but the X valuation and timing of purchase is biggest mistake by Elon and tsla.
I'd agree.
Elon definitely overpaid for a dumpster fire with Twitter. But it has no impact on Tesla as a company.
Lol. Stock flat since 2020
Tough to become a Teslanaire when the stock is down 60% and it hasn't increased in it's valuation in 4 yrs. Of course, the fanboys will say "stay long-term for 10 yrs", but most investors just don't have the cashflow to wait for any meaningful growth on an investment after 10 yrs
@michael… Most investors? Can you back this up with any data? A 10 year investment horizon is far from being abnormally long. Amazon was sitting around the $100 mark for 10 years before it finally shot up. Should those long term investors have given up?
I expected more from Larry to be honest. So much time and detail on his bio I was looking forward to some unique insights about Tesla, didn’t happen
Not everyone knows who he is. Fortunately, there's another video with him on this very channel where we never once mention his credentials here: th-cam.com/video/Rt-xm-pdsAQ/w-d-xo.html
There's a whole like 2.5 min of him giving his "credentials"
No comfort to anyone who invested from 2021 onwards. Yes you can trot out the ‘long-term investor’ stuff, but it’s still reality that many investors are way down in recent years. Not likely to go anywhere for another 2 years either - compact won’t be on sale in volume until 2026 at the earliest (I mean real volume). Other products are currently in the hopium stages - FSD, Bots, Robotaxis etc all speculative at this point.
Having said all that I’ve been in Tesla a long time (still am) and still invest in Tesla monthly (did today as had a buy order at $180), but I have many friends who have been burned in the last couple of years.
if you have been holding Tesla stock for the last 2 years I would say its a great way to go broke
Few are equipped to spot disruption. Certainly not you.
Only if you're impatient and sell.
Buy high and sell low in general is a great way to go broke.
Ditch the stock footage mate. It's tacky.
Tesla made millionaires, past tense. You can bet on another 10x now based on Optimus or whatever, and you might win, but Tesla is already a highly-valued and correspondingly risky stock. If you want to bet the farm on a get rich quick scheme, there are better options.
I like this guy though.
No, you don’t bet the farm on a get rich quick scheme. Unless you don’t like farms.
I do not think there are better alternatives, which ones do you think?
It is nota get rich quick investment. You need a 5-20 year timeframe.
This sounds almost exactly like the rhetoric I heard in 2019 when I invested. I did pretty okay (my cost basis is under $14/share.)
If you didn't see it then, maybe this isn't the right investment for you.
@@grahambrown42 I don't give investment advice, but fast forward five years, and you'll find a stock that 10xed from today. It might be Tesla, but Tesla already trades at over 40 times earnings on a bad day. Prediction is difficult especially about the future.
Lol. All it's done the last 3.5 years is make investors poor.
Nah, if you're poor that's on you, not Tesla. I started buying shares with pretty bad timing but I'm still wealthier anyway.
It has actually turned me from a millionaire to a non-millionaire
Only if you sold at a loss. Keep those shares..
Did you buy on hype or fundamentals?
I ask because if you bought on fundamentals, this is merely a dip. The fundamentals have only improved.
I bought on fundamentals and because I believe in the growth of the company. After more than 3 years of holding I'm down over 25% on my investment, and it has made me sick watching other companies go up 400,500% while my Tesla investment has greatly declined. I blame a lot of it on Elon Musk@@FutureAZA
@@edwardhackett-jones8126 Some folks (like you) claim there are no losses till you sell. But what is the market value TODAY? If you were to take out a loan and use the stock for collateral, the bank would be interested in what it's worth TODAY. And if, TODAY, it's worth less than you paid.... you have a loss, my friend, whether you want to acknowledge it or not.
So you are not a looooong term TSLA investor? 😂
The only person who is becoming millions from Tesla, is Elon, as he was a billionaire
Conge out to some events and you'll meet a whoooooole lot of people who Elon made millionaires out of.
Don’t say that to investors that have been in since 2016.😉
BS!
Do you believe NO ONE made money, or just admitting it wasn't you?
It's kinda dishonest to compare gross margins since most auto manufacturers sell to their dealers and Tesla sells direct to consumers. If you look at operating margins in Q4 2023; Tesla 8.2% vs Toyota 11.3%. This is despite;
- Tesla getting free money in the form of regulatory credits, without those operating margins would drop to 6.6%
- Tesla operating solely in a segment where governments worldwide are subsidization their vehicles to the tune of thousands of dollars.
- Tesla having an average selling price around 50% higher than Toyota. Higher ASP should lead to higher margins, like in the rest of the auto industry.
- Toyota having dozens of models in many more markets, while Tesla gets almost all of its volume from just 2 models with 76% related parts.
You have a point. Will be interesting to see if the world does eventually go electric, and if so, can they turn a profit. Maybe hybrids will be enough for most people?
Toyota also has by far the greatest negative cash flow of any established automaker.
@@cicirunnerThe electrification of automobiles is underway. Keep watching.
@@snookmeister55 First of all you are straight up lying, surprisingly common for a community supposedly hyper vigilant for any type of slant, misinterpretation or "FUD". Secondly why are looking at cash flow like Toyota is some struggling startup constantly on the lookout for new funds? Toyota only had 1 yearly loss in their entire 86 year old history, making $20B in profit for the past 10 years, and currently on course to make $33B in profit at the end of their fiscal year ending march 31th. Ending December 31th they had $83B cash on hand and $215B in retained earnings. Again, very odd behavior for a company that had been prophesied to go out of business by the Tesla fanbois for the past 10 years now.
Toyota is also the most indebted company in the world
Tesla has become a joke
Elon has killed his own stock with his rants on X
I’ve been down for the last 3 years and can’t wait to get out of this stock. Major disappointment
@@Christine_perkins13 of course I won’t. Have no choice but to HODL
It did that already. Elon ruined it.
