I mean, the shoulder injury literally ruined his career. When he came back to the Panthers for the short run, there were flashes of him being great again, but in reality, the injuries just kept coming. If he hadn’t had his shoulder destroyed, they might’ve been back, but we’ll never know
He didn't disappear. It was constant injuries and his inability to work through them. I don't think people realize how hard it is to come back over and over again from injury.

As a Bronco's fan who's seen that play in SB50 more times than I care to mention.. I know it's popular to say he was scared of taking a hit, or he made a business decision, or he trusted his other guy to come up with the ball blah blah... I think the most realistic explanation is: He choked. His nerves overtook his instincts, and he just simply mentally flatlined for a second. Everyone has those moments. Cams just happened to be while under the eyes of millions of people. Obviously I was thrilled in the moment but watching how much scrutiny, and for how long he was on the receiving end, I felt bad for that guy. I think it took a toll on his mental. And now he's the Cam we know today with such riveting acts as: getting into fights with little kids, flexing his bank account any time someone chirps at him, and bitterly hating on other NFL QB's that he thinks he should have a job over. Hopefully he gets over that because he genuinely is a charismatic and entertaining person, but more recently has had a series of bad looks.

I also feel for him party because star quarterbacks are coached NOT to jump into those situations, but the Super Bowl is all-in time. I can't tell you how many times I would about have a stroke week after week watching him throw off of his back foot and the ball would predictably sail on him and this wasn't just his first few seasons he was making these kinds of mistakes in year 7. I could go on and on but all I'll say is I was done with him after he not only didn't fall on the ball, he made me ashamed to be a fan of this team after he walked out of the post game press conference.
Prime SuperCam was unbelievable. I’ll never forget those days. Unfortunately his body took to much damage because of his play style and poor offensive line play. Football is a brutal sport.

One of the ongoing problems that has been popping up in recent posts is that the NFL sometimes decides which teams are going to win and which teams are going to lose. The NFL has defended a lawsuit by clarifying that it is not a true competition and the NFL exists for entertainment purposes. Is it possible that some of Cam's losses were orchestrated by the NFL in order to favor another athlete/team that was seen as more popular by the viewing audience? Of course it is.

I'd say it's debatable for Lamar, he's played the best at times. It's hard to say if he'd do better on a different team with different circumstances. For the record I think mahomes is the best in the NFL but I could make arguments for Lamar too.

Yeah he had a very good 11 - 5 2017 season then started 6 - 2 in 2018 then the awful TJ Watt of the Pittsburgh Steelers hit happened and by the time he played in New England in 2020 he was washed. He went way downhill so fast. Everyone always points to that TJ Watt hit when they summarize his career and ending.

Cam completed 65% of his passes and they were 7-9 for a bridge year which wasn't bad. The next year they added a bunch of players and did alittle better. It would have been interesting to see Cam with the 2021 team. Cam is a big dude too so I'm sure the foot injury didn't help and in NE, he didn;t have the same explosive moves when running, he definitely slowed down.

Cam used to be Superman. He was excellent when he was in his prime and made it to Super Bowl 50. After that, it was goodbye and RIP career. Wish he could just say he’s officially retired already
I remember his Super bowl pregame interview, he was bragging about how elite he was and that was the new era of QB.(was very reminiscent of Any Given Sunday). Of course taking jabs at Peyton age. And the rest is history...
I don’t think he was the best at least top 5 when he had weapons top ten when he was having to do more. Honestly the team he was on never tried to get him setup with protection, seriously how many years was he behind one of if not the worst o-line in the league the only reason is wasn’t so obvious some years was the run game and the qb being a beast of a hunan. Still pissed he beat my packers while setting records but dude played his ass off. I give respect to him just wish he had a team that believes in his ability and protected him instead of what they did.
@@ezekwu I think quickness is more important that speed. RG3 had speed. Lamar Jackson has quickness (and speed, which helps). I don’t think Cam has the quickness anymore. It was the thing that made him leathal along with his size. He’s not good enough to be a drop back QB without that threat. He’s still fast, but that quick twitch is gone by age and injury.

Cam used to be Superman. He was excellent when he was in his prime and made it to Super Bowl 50. After that, it was goodbye and RIP career. Wish he could just say he’s officially retired already

I remember his Super bowl pregame interview, he was bragging about how elite he was and that was the new era of QB.(was very reminiscent of Any Given Sunday). Of course taking jabs at Peyton age. And the rest is history...
I don’t think he was the best at least top 5 when he had weapons top ten when he was having to do more. Honestly the team he was on never tried to get him setup with protection, seriously how many years was he behind one of if not the worst o-line in the league the only reason is wasn’t so obvious some years was the run game and the qb being a beast of a hunan. Still pissed he beat my packers while setting records but dude played his ass off. I give respect to him just wish he had a team that believes in his ability and protected him instead of what they did.

@@ezekwu I think quickness is more important that speed. RG3 had speed. Lamar Jackson has quickness (and speed, which helps). I don’t think Cam has the quickness anymore. It was the thing that made him leathal along with his size. He’s not good enough to be a drop back QB without that threat. He’s still fast, but that quick twitch is gone by age and injury.
