I am a die hard Madonna fan and absolutely love that you (much younger) guys are liking her stuff. In this review you made a statement that today’s music all sounds the same and I agree with that. Past generations have all had music icons - those that really stood out from everyone else and have been liked for generations afterwards. Today’s music seems to lack that all together and everything is just okay - nothing stands out. On occasion you’ll get something like Dua Lipa but honestly the only thing of hers that stands out is the remix she did for Levitating which has two (older) icons; Madonna and Missy Elliot. For your Madonna review you should think about looking at the history of the song your reviewing - so many of her songs have a history that can be shocking or eye opening (eg The tour for Like a Prayer was cancelled by Pepsi because of the music video which is why after that Madonna no longer had corporate sponsors for any of her tours, Vogue is inspired by a rich dance movement out of Harlem and although it incorporates fashion it’s inspiration was the dance not fashion). I’d be curious what your generation thinks of some of those past controversies now. Most of madonna’s stuff has some level of controversy tied to it, intentional and not. One of my first references in pop. I was "finding" myself about gender and sexuality... Madonna, Michael and other always said stuff like "It makes no difference if you're black or white, If you're a boy or a girl", and for me, at that time, it was important as hell. Nowadays is "easy" to talk about that, but some years ago things were different. People like Madonna were opening doors for people like me (and could be people like you, just for everyone to fell free) and be saying things like " I tried to be a boy, I tried to be a girl I tried to be a mess, I tried to be the best. I guess I did it wrong, that's why I wrote this song, this type of modern life, is it for me?...". Music saved my life, and beyond saving, helped me to give meaning to my life and love/respect who I am and respect people around. That is the most important thing in life. People don't give credit to what artist like Madonna or Michael Jackson represent to some like me, it has given me hope to be and to love what I am and to love the different, the people around me, the way they are. That changed my life for real and forever.

Again, so good to see the younger generation react to Madonna. I been a fan since she first came out and been to 3 of her concerts live. The reason she had such an impact back in the 80s & 90s, is because we had no internet back then. People socialized in nightclubs on the weekends back then. When you were in a nightclub, the dj would put on a Madonna song and the dancefloor was packed. Back then with no internet, life in many ways was different. I did love how you referred to her as the "Empress of Pop", i always say "Queen of Pop" but empress does seem more fitting.

The technique is called project mapping, used 30 projectors and the overall projected area covered 11.000sqft - it was more or less the first time a tv audience got to experience it. Slack-lining also totally became a thing after this show, she worked with Cirque de Soleil for the overall look and performance .. check out more Madonna she is sure to blow you young kinds mind!

There's a wild and wonderful career to explore with Madonna if you wanna continue down this road. She's more than earned the title of Queen of Pop (the press gave her that title way back in the 80s and it's stuck to this very day). She's more than earned the title of Queen of Pop (the press gave her that title way back in the 80s and it's stuck to this very day). I recommend watching Express Yourself from her Blond Ambition Tour in 1990 (the tour is often credited with inventing the modern day pop concert) as well as Future Lovers from her Confessions Tour in 2006!
