    • @nagillim7915
      @nagillim7915 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

She was definitely having a spiritual awakening on this album. There are a lot of Hindu and Buddhist influences. And Hinduism, like a lot of the indo-european pantheons, has its triple goddess motif in the Tridevi.
Hecate is one of the many Greco-Roman triple goddesses (along with the Fates, the Moirai, the Furies and the Gorgons), but you could as easily point to the Morrigan from Celtic myth, or the Norns from Nordic legend as examples. They all share similarities.

I'm really happy to see young people reacting to Madonna videos.
I've been a long time fan since her early days, back in 1984.
She's had a very long career. She is a genius.
New singers come and go after one hit, after one album and some have been able to stay. They always present them as the "new" Madonna. Some, they say, might be selling more music. Some say Madonna is irrelevant, some say she needs to retire and let others take her place as The Queen of Pop, but why should she if she still has the will and the hunger to keep creating art.
Young singers and not so young owe a lot to Madonna for opening the doors. She got her ass kicked, she was vilified, was called a bitch, a demon for expressing herself, but thanks to that, the new generation of Pop singers are able to express themselves freely
So thank you Madonna for the last 39 years of music and looking forward for the next 40 more.

My personal interpretation of the video was to see past what you think and open yourself up to other opportunities that love can offer. She wasn’t showcasing a witch but rather other cultural ways to open up and live. It’s not a simple video to get the first time you watch. There are multiple deep messages in this video. been a fan from the beginning of her career and this is probably my favorite song from her out of many great songs. Her videos were always beautiful and artistic especially for all the singles off this album.

I'm getting chills just watching you watch it. When I first saw this in 1998 my jaw had to be surgically removed from the floor.
BTW, this was the first hit song to blend pop and techno. You should listen to the rest of the album Ray of Light if you like the sound of the drums. She partnered with William Orbit who is a techno guru. She kept working with him for most of the early 2000s. She also had just taken vocal training a few years before this for Evita, so her voice was still very trained and spot on.

A real masterpiece!!! This song has been so popular that even today, here in Chile, you can hear it on the radio. In fact, a lot of Madonna's songs are very popular after many years!

Madonna's music videos from 1982-2002 were among the best ever made. This one is fairly straightforward compared to many of the others.

You guys should definitely react to her “Justify My Love” next. And since you find it so incredible that she’s still making music, consider reacting to one of her newest videos too. I recommend “God Control” or “Medellin” :)

Really enjoyed watching your reaction to one of my favorite Madonna videos! The video takes place as a representation of the title, a frozen cold environment where Madonna seeks to bring worms to a person that it's cold inside and not open. It's a very beautiful and haunting portrayal of this emotion as she shape-shifts with a variety of objects as you could see. The music always makes me sad and the words are so powerful! Love love love it!

This was during the time of the “Goth” look. This song is such a masterpiece and still holds up. If you explore her catalogue you will experience SO many unique and diverse types of music and if you check, out any of her tours ‘Blond Ambition”, “The Girlie Show”, “Re-Invention Tour” , “Confessions Tour”, “Sticky and Sweet Tour”, “MDNA Tour” to name some, you will be blown away🔥🔥🔥

From the same album and with the similar etherial vibe and blue clip you have "The Power of Goodbye" from her. If you want to watch censored videos from her you have this trilogy: Justify My Love, Erotica and American Life, all were consider too much for TV stations at the time and only passed late night or even aired once before they were banned. But you know Madonna is very smart and on the case of Justify My Love she gained even more with the censor thing because she edited the video in VHS as a single videoclip and until today is the best selling video single of all time, only Madonna can do that, turn things on her favour! Greetings from Portugal 🇵🇹

Please review more Madonna. It makes me happy to see other people appreciate her talent. I am a huge Madonna fan since the beginning and have seen all her shows live, most front row. Please review some of her lives concerts/performances including Sooner or Later, Blonde Ambition, Reinvention, Confessions, etc. Thank you for your reviews!!!!

So you HAVE to do a Madonna Like A Virgin MTV performance from the 1984 VMA’s it was what actually made Madonna a household name! It was the inspiration for the Madonna, Britney & Christina MTV performance!

At the time she was very into yoga and spirituality. She said her goal in releasing Ray of Light was to create music in the electronica genre, but with emotions. William Orbit, co-produced the album with her and much of the sound comes from him.
