    Please unleash your inner impressionistic, paint stroke loving, color theorist beast more often!!!
    My favorite paint style is Impressionism and your work always teases me with just a touch of it but I know you’re capable of so much more. Forget realism lol.

    I love the ambience and the primary use of complimentary colors, orange and blue you used. Very nice.
    I myself love the use those two colors since they tend to help make my own style of misc. scenic and wildlife paintings stand out/burst with realism.

    This is a beautiful painting. I see that the style of this painting is loose and you handled it well. 😍 I will have to say, that when we went on a guided tour there, our guide told us that the bridge was gold, hence it’s name. Everybody in that region hated the gold. Everyone called it “the ugliest bridge ever.” The people won and the bridge was painted it’s beautiful red color that it is now. 😂 I thought you might want to know. 😂

      Haha, that is quite the story! Well, I hope the orange I used is a happy medium between the original and the current paint choices ;)

    Just amazing! What is the benefit of putting the drawing on before painting the black and white background? Would it be too difficult to cover the Sharpie in subsequent color layers?

    • @RyanORourkeArtist
      @RyanORourkeArtist  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you, Iris! I did the drawing so that I knew where to put the black,grey and white strokes. It made the process much more streamlined and time efficient. If I hadn't my applications probably would have been all over the place and I would have had to spend a lot of additional time fixing and correcting proportions. Hope that helps!

    Nice! Thank you Ryan. I've always wanted to paint the Golden Gate! P.S. I need to correct you on something because it's been driving me nuts. The brushes are not square-headed brushes. If you want to be technical, they are rectangular, but they are called flat brushes. ;-)

    • @RyanORourkeArtist
      @RyanORourkeArtist  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Haha, I know. I call them 'square-headed' because it's a more intuitive way of describing them and I have a lot of beginners on the channel. Eventually everyone learns and it doesn't hurt anybody. It just a basic description meant to aid people who are just getting started :)
