  • Hey there! Today we paint a moody, atmospheric picture of a moose in a misty forest landscape. The painting tutorial is done in real time and we cover additional subjects like a waterfall, trees, and a couple flowers. It really was a joy to do this flower painting and I look forward to showing you more in the future. If you're enjoying the lesson but would like help with the drawing process you can find the traceable and reference photo over on Patreon:

Hi, have just finished this beautiful painting. Am an absolute beginner of a few months. Your detailed tutorial has inspired me.
Not wishing to copy all of the details, I added another moose facing inward to right hand side. The end result is very pleasing.
The way you present your work and the helpful guidance you give enables the beginner to produce an acceptable canvas.
Long may you continue to inspire on utube. Jocelynk x

Really cool painting with the moose. I think it would also be cool to see a lion in the savanna maybe or like a tiger in the jungle.

    Very nice very nice.
    Your paintings are really evolving.
I'd love to see you paint a pair of bald eagles in a forest as the focal point, (perhaps they are nesting with eggs in view or instead with pair of eaglets?)with high detail in their feathering. 👍

This was excellent, i'm happy you did the grey version first (called the grasaille method). It's astonishing how detailed a painting (your painting) came to life once you added the colour. Fantastic!
