  • I surprised my friend with a complete kit to lower his 79 C10 Squarebody. We used McGaughy's 2 1/2" drop spindles with the heavy duty rotors, Precision Coil Springs SP08339, Street Edge 6" Flip Kit SE709000, and shock relocates for the rear. In this video we go step by step and also a little lessons learned on installing the shock relocates and flip kit.

    • @BestDamnShopAround
      @BestDamnShopAround  ปีที่แล้ว

      The 1.25 in rotor conversion requires spindles, rotors, calipers, wheel bearings, and I always do pads, inner wheel seal, and brake hoses as well. The shock extenders are used in this video were from a company called street race. I also use CPP.

      Thank you! When I made this video I was using McGaughy's exclusively but I have recently switched to CPP. The last three pairs of McGaughy's I bought all had minor issues. None of which were safety concerns but due to the decline of manufacturing quality I switched. You have to be careful with cheap spindles, the body of the spindle itself is cast and if it isn't built properly or machined correctly it won't fit and/or break. And also the pin, the part the rotor and bearing slide on to I have seen machined incorrectly and or not properly pressed into the spindle itself.

      Looks can be deceiving! Over 2k miles on this setup without any vibration or issues!

      @@BestDamnShopAroundhey brother. I followed you and video helped a lot. At the time I didn’t have the space and access to a grinder for the bump stops. I’m riding with the bump stops for over a year and a half. It’s definitely time to take them off. Have y’all had the diff slam on the frame?
